Preferably east of Truro but anything considered.

Have a 90's mint Burberry trench coat but smelling a bit musty, anyone recommend a high quality dry cleaners who have experience in expensive stuff.

A music venue in Cornwall is suing Live Nation for £1 million over an alleged breach of contract.

The Wyldes near Bude, run by parent company WV Leisure, has alleged that Live Nation did not put on enough concerts at the site.

According to High Court documents, as cited by Independent, the venue signed a deal with Live Nation Music UK in 2023; under the agreement, Live Nation was to produce at least eight concerts a year for five years from 2024.

My name is also the same, so I'm the 3rd James Hosking. No doubt there are many more as my family went across the globe like manier Cornishmen did.

Community Anyone in Cornwall up for a chat?

A bit of a random one, sorry if this isn’t the place, I’m a 30 year old woman from Cornwall. I don’t have any local friends, no partner, no kids, not close with a lot of my family, but I’m incredibly lonely & desperate to just have a chat with someone.
Not expecting a long lasting friendship or anything from this & not expecting speedy responses, I know people have busy lives (& I can take a while to respond sometimes too) but if anyone would just be up for a chat over DM, I’d really appreciate it. We can talk about anything that interests you, Cornwall itself, your pets, hobbies, truly anything, I don’t have the best social skills but I’ll try my absolute best.
Thank you.

Careful of beach webcams!!!

There's a youtube channel that streams a cycle of 50x Cornish webcams that I have on in the background on the telly.

Anyone recognise this young lady at Kennack Sands who is blissfully unaware there's a webcam? Maybe let her know not to change there...

Settle a debate - event dewcription

If you read this for the description of their film nights:

We’re running eight nights of atmospheric folk horror deep within the estate, featuring cult horror classics, up-and-coming Cornish language films and more. Each evening begins with a lantern-lit trail through the historic gardens down to our pop-up screen. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase before each screening.

Do you picture in doors in a normal room or in the woods/fields as a special screening?

I used to talk to a girl called Amy on MSN messenger back in the day when we were teenagers (circa 2004-2007) We lost contact, and someone suggested coming on to Reddit to see if anyone might know her, since she had a very intense style/self expression. She had black, medium length hair, would wear thick liberty spikes, and dark eye makeup. I don't expect this to go anywhere, but I figured what's the harm. She might not live in Cornwall anymore, but maybe someone here knows, or knew her. She might not even remember me, but I remember her from time to time, and hope she's doing well.

What do you think about Cornwall live? And it’s paywall £49.99 a year or £4.99 a month has the quality of the storylines improved ? Is it worth paying for? Where else are you getting Cornwall stories from?

Looking for a favor from someone near Bodmin Moor / Dozmary Pool (Will pay for time + shipping to US!)

Hi everyone,

I am a private crafter based in the U.S., and I am working on a special project making mythological and Arthurian-inspired pendants. I am trying to find someone who lives near or visits Bodmin Moor who would be willing to collect a small vial of water from Dozmary Pool and ship it to me.

I want to use the water to quench a Nimue pendant I’m working on after the firing process to give her a real connection to the Excalibur legend.

I do not need a lot—just a small, secure plastic bottle or vial full. I am happy to pay for your time, fuel, the container, and the international shipping costs via PayPal or whatever method works best for you.

If anyone is headed that way or lives nearby and wants to help a fellow maker out, please send me a DM. Thank you so much!

Attached is the pendant I’ve been working on 🖤

Road blocked through Launceston

EDIT: Traffic is moving again now.

If anybody is thinking of driving through Launceston today, i'd find an alternative route, the A388 (St. Thomas Road) is blocked by a fallen power line and traffic has been at a complete standstill for ages.

Can anyone recommend an artist who does prints of Lands End / Enys Dodnan Point?

My partner and I got engaged there this week and would love to get a piece of art to mark the occasion!

Mobile phone not spots?

I'm working on a project to identify populated localities (hamlets, towns, estates etc.) within Cornwall where there is no viable mobile phone signal from any mobile operator. These areas are usually known as not spots. If you know of any please shout out. Your suggestions will help us optimise our analysis of the data being collected as part of a county wide signal survey by the company Streetwave on behalf of Cornwall Council.

Thanks for your help.
