Hey all! I am from the outskirts of Rugby and very close to Coventry so felt like I would post here tbh.

Would love to get to meet some new people, especially as I don't go out that much rn and would love to find some community and just be authentic with some people. I am incredibly into music and collecting CDs/Records from pop punk, death/black/melodic type metal, indie pop, synth pop pretty much a wide array of genres but I would say I am pretty alt and I haven't been to many concerts in my life been a little bit sheltered so would love to check out more bands with some people and share music, I also produce music in my free time, going out to the pub and just having a fun time really I love a good pub crawl often as I am quite a social drunk, philosophy and just history as a whole is very meaningful to me and it I borderline hyper fixate on, some sports like darts/footie, sometimes gaming & coding but I dress fairly alt but just have pretty much no mates at the moment after leaving sixth form which was a bit of a waste of time

I am quite open minded to checking out some new hobbies you may be into also and just really deep down wanna meet some actual mates in life and just have a laugh with some sound people and hang out, anyone can dm pretty much I quite like a variety of friends.

How do I go about finding my people in Coventry?

As the title suggests. I'll be starting at the main Coventry train station.

I know where the house is, I'm just curious what Coventry locals would recommend for getting there. I see there's a bus that goes past the Binley Woods area along Rugby Rd, but is it a wicked pain or infrequent?

Should I do a taxi or Uber instead?

To be honest, I'm more concerned about getting back to Coventry station. Coventry is a city of several hundred thousand people, so I'm probably over thinking this.

I'll be a tourist from abroad without a car, and I just want to walk down that street.

Met two teen who moved to cov few weeks ago, they said they were robbed in the tunnel that comes to axo paradise some time ago.

The trap was a woman crying at end of tunnel, when these kids went to investigate, 3 men surrounded them. One of the victim took off and the robber went after him with machete, fortunately he escaped but the other one was robbed of his phone.

I was so worried for them cause these kids trying to warn me, the fear in their eyes while narrating the story was unreal.

That tunnel is shady af and police should do something about it, anytime i have to pass it, i keep looking back and forth

Does anyone actually think Coventry city centre needed all these new red routes?
Apparently the double red lines mean you won’t even be able to stop briefly to pick someone up or drop someone off, except in designated places, with cameras enforcing it.
I was dropping my mum off at the Belgrade and it struck me how difficult they’re making something as basic as safely pulling over for 30 seconds.
Has anyone actually had a serious problem with traffic being held up by people dropping passengers off? Was this really a problem that needed solving?
Coventry has plenty of genuine issues, yet the council seems to spend endless time and money creating more restrictions, cameras and rules, while also making the city centre less convenient to visit.
Maybe I’m missing something. Does anyone actually think this is a good idea?

New to Cov. Looking for new fitness-related hobbies. In the past Ive done badminton, boxing, spinning, volleyball, crossfit, fencing and probably other ones. Ive done padel, squash, and tennis. Im looking to see what good stuff Cov is hiding. Maybe kettlebell classes, cycling clubs (street or mountain), or anything else. Happy to pick up stuff Ive done before. What do you recommend?
