Do you think Daria was low-key "the Jane show" and the way Hey Arnold! was low-key "the Helga show"? Because when you look at all, the show could've just as easily been written and told from her perspective.

Aside from Daria, she's equally as fleshed out. Especially when compared to all the other supporting characters. We get to see and know all her family and home life, just like Helga. And among fans, Jane is equally if not more liked than Daria at times. Just curious your thoughts.

I think that Daria was correct to not accept the necklace gift from Ted. She regrets if afterwards, but if she had taken his necklace he may have taken it the wrong way. Some guys would become obsessive and think that Daria is now their girlfriend.
