Picked up this Margiela long sleeve for 122.8 CNY (around $17). The faded black color and layered graphic caught my eye. The print looks pretty interesting from the QC pics, but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

Been wanting a pair of Margiela GATs for a while. Went with this cream and grey colorway because I wanted something a little different from plain white sneakers. The vintage shape is really nice, and I can already see these working with baggy jeans or relaxed trousers.

Just got the Hermès Jet in the white / beige canvas and damn, these look cleaner in hand than I expected.

Wasn’t sure what to expect since everybody here posts the Bouncing and there aren’t many reviews on the Jet out there. Got them from Exclusive on Weidian, paid 618¥ and shipped with OrientDig. Took about 2 weeks to Germany.

First off: the canvas has that fine woven grey / beige texture and the white leather H on the side is stitched clean. Shell toe with the lines sits right too. Tongue tag is printed sharp and the gum sole has the little H pattern all over. Came with the orange box and the dust bag.

Only thing I’d say is the inside isn’t perfect. On one shoe the edge of the insole lining is cut a bit rough when you look in, nobody sees that on foot tho. Shape looks close to retail pics to me, the sole might be a little thicker if you really nitpick. Got a 45 and it fits true to size.

Wore them out on the weekend and they were comfy right away, no break in needed.

Goes with jeans or linen pants in summer, easy to style.

Honestly solid rep. Lowkey Hermès, nothing loud on it but if you know, you know.

Picked this up as a lowkey everyday sneaker that still works with trousers, something between a dress shoe and a normal sneaker.

Size: EU 45, fits true to size

Packaging:
Black box with the copper stripes and two dust bags with the white ZEGNA print. Care booklet and hang tag were in there too.

Material / Leather:
Smooth navy leather, a bit darker towards the edges. Soft sheen in daylight but not glossy. Feels soft and flexible in hand, not stiff.

Shape & Structure:
Low profile with a rounded toe, collar sits clean. The leather on top is quite flat. Retail pairs have that slightly sunken look over the elastic, mine sits a bit straighter.

Stitching & Construction:
The three stitched lines on each side run even. Crossed elastic bands are evenly tensioned on both shoes.

Branding:
ZEGNA emboss on the tongue is sharp. Insole has the TRIPLE STITCH print, a bit faint on my pair. Outsole has ZEGNA / MADE IN ITALY stamped in the middle.

Sole:
White cupsole with a fine grid texture on the heel and forefoot. Comfortable from day one, no break in needed.

Overall:
Very solid pair. Easy to wear for the office and on the weekend. Faint insole print and the flatter top are the only things I noticed, nothing you see on foot.

Can you let me know your thoughts on these from Happy Whale? At first I thought the G stamp in the bottom was off on the edges but looking at original online looks like they also go into edge. The emblem is different color underneath other than that seem ok. But now sure about the leather. Any thoughts?

I started with the original version to disassemble and analyze the structure, refining the pattern, materials, and overall texture as meticulously as possible.

Repeatedly proofing and modifying the factory through many rounds, continuously fine-tuning every detail until the overall balance of the shoes reaches the desired state. The differences caused by these minor changes in trim position, stitching, toe contours, and fabric surface treatment are much greater than imagined.

Spend a significant amount of time comparing every detail:

1. Fabric texture and surface texture

2. The front contour of the toe and the streamlined shoe shape

3. Trim positioning and arrangement

4. Sole Proportion and Size

5. Heel support structure

6. The overall sense of balance when walking on the upper foot

Communicate closely with the production team, repeatedly compare multiple versions of samples to optimize details, and place them next to the original for comparison, resulting in a more harmonious and natural overall appearance.

Frankly, this is the most completed version of Hermès-style bounce shoes I have ever made.
