Vent/Rant People who thinks they don’t smell stinks the most 😷💩

• Upvotes

People who think they don’t smell and are always fresh, or have the slightest baby-like scent, are often the ones who absolutely fill the air with their odour!

I’m so tired of hearing this sassy statement from guys and girls about how fresh they always are. They brag about how they don’t need deodorant and have never used it. Even if they put on perfume, it’s over their clothes, not even on their skin. Little do they know, they smell like dead corpses! And their overconfidence doesn’t shield them from trapping odour right in their armpit area!

This is literally the stupidest logic I’ve ever heard.. “I don’t smell!” Of course you smell, you 🐖! How delusional does someone have to be to be this disgustingly unaware of their own body odour?! You might enjoy your own sweaty smell, but others are suffocating because of it. And because of your fragile ego, they can’t even bring it up!

They willingly refuse to use deodorant directly on their underarm skin. Then the sweat forms, the odour develops, and walking beside them feels suffocating.

Washing your body alone can’t solve this problem. Unless you’re a toddler or an old, wrinkly person, as soon as you turn off the shower faucet, you start to smell. Idk who gave them the idea that they’re angels sent from above and don’t need deodorant. Maybe the people around them are too shy and polite to point it out, since it’s such a sensitive topic. If it were a guy, I believe other guys would be friendly enough to tell him at some point, but how do you tell that to a girl?!

The girl at my office works part-time and gets here after university. My goodness, there hasn’t been a single day when I haven’t been able to tell she has arrived without even seeing her! Not to mention, she’s a student at one of the top 3 private universities. And I thought private university students were smart. 😓

And she says she goes to the gym after office… ALLAH!! 😫😫😵

I humbly urge anyone who thinks they’re above flaws and don’t need deodorant to PLEASE, PLEASE, for God’s sake, just put some on your underarms, directly on your skin (as directed), for the greater good of humanity! 🙏🏻

Discussion Looking for a few students in Dhaka interested in earning some extra money (commission-based)

Hey everyone!

We've recently built an app called SellKoro that helps small shop owners manage their sales, inventory, customer dues, and other daily business activities directly from their phones.

We're now looking for a few people, preferably university students, who can help us reach local shops like clothing stores, shoe shops, cosmetics stores, etc.

The work is pretty simple. If you're someone who goes out often, knows local markets, and is comfortable talking to shop owners, you can introduce our app to them.

There's no fixed schedule or daily target. You can work whenever you're free, and we'll pay commission for every successful sale.

No previous experience needed. We'll guide you through everything.

If anyone's interested, just DM me. Happy to share more details!

Ask Dhaka Would you rather build a business in Dhaka or your hometown if accommodation wasn’t an expense?

I’ve been thinking about something lately. Say you have your own house in a district town, so you don’t have to worry about rent or the ridiculous living expenses of Dhaka. You also want to start a business and have a limited amount of capital. Would you choose Dhaka for its larger market, better networking and opportunities, or your hometown, where expenses are significantly lower and you can afford to take more calculated risks? I’m personally leaning towards moving back to my hometown and investing what I save into building something sustainable. The only thing holding me back is the fear that I might be limiting my opportunities by leaving Dhaka. Would love to hear from people who have actually built businesses outside Dhaka.

Ask Dhaka Wanna join a football club

Hi, i’m new in Dhaka and I want to join a football club. Since all my friends were from Chittagong, i haven’t been able to join any club. I’m currently studying for my bachelors degree at NSU, and I also live nearby. And sometimes I have some free time and I want to play football in the turf. I’m a diehard football fan and it’s been a long time since I’ve last played football.

I like playing in the midfielder role where I can operate the whole team.
So if there’s any team interested, in NSU,Bashundhara area, kindly let me know.

Ask Dhaka Need help from all smokers in BD

My boyfriend's (smoker) birthday is coming up, and I (non-smoker) want to give him 1 to 3 packs of cigarettes leave my lipstick kiss marks on the butts/filters of each stick, and put them back in the pack.

The catch is I don’t smoke at all, and I know absolutely nothing about cigarettes! I’ve heard there are a lot of fakes circulating in the market rn that "don't hit the same." Since I'm completely inexperienced, I’m worried about getting scammed with counterfeit packs at random shops.

Price is not an issue at all since this is a one time special gift. I just want to make sure I get him the absolute best ones and 100% authentic stuff. Where (preferably online) can I get him authentic ones? Which brand?

Everyday Life Bangladeshi Problem and Root Cause--

Discussion The AI Boom and the Current State of the PC and Mobile Phone Market in Dhaka

As we all know, major tech companies around the world are racing to build massive AI data centers to power their services and generate revenue through subscriptions and other business models. While the AI boom has created exciting opportunities and technological advancements, it has also brought some unexpected challenges, particularly for ordinary consumers. One area where these effects are becoming increasingly noticeable is the consumer electronics market, especially PCs, laptops, and smartphones in Dhaka. Based on what I’ve observed, I’d like to share my thoughts on the current situation and offer some practical advice for consumers.

PC and Laptop Market: Rising Prices and Limited Choices — PC and laptop prices are already unreasonably high, and the situation appears to be getting worse. Some computer shops are becoming reluctant to sell individual components, particularly RAM and graphics cards, unless customers purchase an entire PC. The laptop market is facing similar challenges. Most new laptops now come with at least 16GB of RAM, which is sufficient for many users, but it may not be enough for those who regularly multitask, run demanding applications, or keep dozens of browser tabs open. Meanwhile, RAM and SSD prices continue to rise, making new builds and upgrades increasingly expensive. Although manufacturers in China are expanding memory and storage production, increased output does not guarantee immediate price reductions. Supply chains, domestic demand, and the time required for additional production to reach the consumer market all play a role. My advice is to avoid buying a new PC or laptop unless you genuinely need one. If your current system still performs well enough, keep using it. If you need better performance, consider upgrading specific components rather than replacing the entire machine.

Mobile Phone Market: Are We Getting Better Value for Our Money? — The smartphone market is experiencing similar pressures, particularly in the mid-range segment, where prices have risen noticeably. However, marketing can make these increases less obvious. Manufacturers often highlight improved cameras, larger batteries, AI-powered features, and other attractive specifications to justify higher prices. While these improvements can be useful, they don't necessarily mean a phone offers better value than its predecessor. A slightly better camera or a modest battery upgrade may not justify a significant price increase, especially when the overall user experience remains largely unchanged. With the growing emphasis on AI features, it's worth asking whether these additions genuinely improve everyday usability or simply make newer devices seem more appealing.

My Advice: Don't Upgrade Just Because You Can. — The same principle applies to smartphones, PCs, and laptops: if your current device still meets your needs, there's little reason to replace it simply because a newer model is available. If your phone runs smoothly, its battery lasts long enough, and it handles your daily tasks without major issues, there's no need to rush into an upgrade. Replace it when it can no longer serve your needs properly or when repairing it is no longer practical. Likewise, keeping your existing computer and making targeted upgrades when necessary can help you avoid unnecessary expenses. For consumers in Dhaka, where electronics already account for a significant portion of many people's budgets, being selective about purchases is more important than ever.

Final Thoughts — The AI boom may be driving innovation and opening up new possibilities, but its costs don't always fall on the companies leading the race. Ordinary consumers may end up paying more for the essential hardware they rely on every day. Although AI is not the only factor influencing electronics prices, growing demand for memory and other components could add further pressure to an already challenging market. My suggestion is simple: buy what you need, not what marketing encourages you to want. Take care of your existing devices, upgrade only when necessary, and avoid spending more than you need to. In today's market, sometimes the smartest upgrade is no upgrade at all.
