It's always funny to see tankies defending what they'd normally call corporate "wage slavery" in the US or EU when it happens in China, arguing that it's people's "personal choice" to work under those conditions and that they're actually happy to do so.

It's equally funny when people visit RedNote and use it to judge the standard of living across all of China. RedNote is primarily known as an app where middle-class and wealthy people from tier-1 and tier-2 cities show off their relatively upscale lifestyles, and consumerism is absolutely rampant there. There's even a running joke that if your net worth is less than $2 million (or some similarly ridiculous amount), you're considered dirt poor on RedNote.

And the funniest part is that a lot of the lifestyles people show off on RedNote are heavily exaggerated or outright fake. There's a famous joke that Maserati sold only 4220 cars in China in 2020, yet somehow 7600 people on RedNote claimed to have bought a brand-new Maserati that same year lol.

whats funny is that in their other comments, they accuse god of being a "genocidal bigoted warlord" yet is preaching state atheism and even though I am an atheist, you can be bigoted towards religious people, it's literally in the definition of bigotry, not that this user is smart enough to know that, seriously get a life

I love the 3rd screenshots response though, shout out to the commenter

anyways fuck the soviet union, & the khmer rouge over it's state atheism bullshit and by it's generally human rights violating bullshit as well, this commenter can go cry over them being dethroned.

Lessons from History On the Occasion of the 81st National Day of the true Republic of Vietnam aka South Vietnam

My brothers and sisters in the wider global anti-Communist and anti-Fascist cause: today, for the first time ever, we here in this sub and our sister and allied subs officially recognize October 26 as the official National Day of the one and true Vietnam - the Republic of Vietnam aka South Vietnam. Moving forward we will only celebrate the Vietnamese nation on this very day.

Today we celebrate the 1955 proclamation of the end of the Empire of Vietnam and the beginnings of the Republic of Vietnam under its first president, Ngo Dinh Diem.

Even today, 51 years since the existence of the republic was ended by Communist occupation, we still remember its role in the struggle against International Socialism and Communism across the world, and remember the brothers and sisters of the West who came to its aid and assisted in its defense and existence against the evil and dangerours Communist Party of Vietnam and its allies.

May the memory of the Republic continue to live on and may we be inspired to carry on the struggle to restore it, end Fascism, Socialism and Communism across the wider world, and bring democracy and freedom to all of Vietnam.

Let not the sacrifices of the brave men and women of the armed forces of the Western World during both the First Indochina War and the Vietnam War be in vain!

In aakhareen nabarde, Pahlavi barmigarde!

Chẳng bao lâu nữa sẽ là trận chiến cuối cùng của chúng ta, bởi vì Việt Nam Cộng hòa nhất định phải sớm trở lại!

The Vietnam Ministry of Health proposes children's organ donation

Post image
56 Upvotes

____________________________________________________________________

Organ donation is common thing in developed countries. But is shady in poorer countries, especially a China's puppet one, where laws are unclear, single party controls everything, and there are no independent individuals to check on the process

The last four leaders of the ministry?

- Nguyễn Thị Kim Tiến, Minister of Health from 2011 to 2019: currently in prison (due to corruption)

- Her successor, Vũ Đức Đam, led the Ministry of Health from November 2019 to July 2020. He was forced to resign over alleged involvement in bribery in the Việt Á scandal. He should have been jailed, but his assistant took the blame for him. Seriously, would an assistant dare accept bribes without the boss’s approval?

- After Đam came Nguyễn Thanh Long, who served as Minister of Health from 2020 to 2022. He is currently serving an 18 years sentence for accepting bribes in the Việt Á scandal.

In other words, all three successive heads of the Ministry of Health were deeply corrupt and surrounded by shady dealings! Many deputy ministers and department heads from this ministry are and had been serving lengthy prison sentences. It is one of the government agencies with the highest number of officials sent to prison in Vietnam’s political system.

The current Minister of Health, Đào Hồng Lan. She has no qualifications in medicine or pharmacy but holds a bachelor degree in business administration and a master degree in economics. In other words, her qualifications are in business and making money, not healthcare. She also spent 23 years working at the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs - the ministry responsible for promoting overseas labor exports, sending Vietnamese workers abroad to work for foreign employers!

The problem with having an economics graduate as Minister of Health

The policy of getting rich by selling labor can be divided into three stages.

Before 2011: Vietnam pursued a policy of “selling” workers domestically. In other words, it encouraged foreign companies to build factories in Vietnam, where local people could work in industrial parks. Over time, some companies grew tired of the corruption among government officials and began pulling out.

From 2011 onward, Vietnam intensified the export of workers overseas through labor-export programs. But recently, some countries have criticized Vietnamese workers as lazy and disruptive, and have restricted the number of Vietnamese workers they accept.

So now, in this so-called era of national resurgence, Vietnamese workers have acquired such a bad reputation that it is no longer easy to sell their labor. Are they starting to follow China’s example by shifting toward an “organ crime” economy?

In that case, having an economics graduate as Minister of Health fits the picture perfectly.

The medical mafia is lobbying for policies to sell organ-transplant tourism packages in Vietnam

The Ministry of Health is preparing a plan to develop a hospital ship model in Phú Quốc, opening up opportunities to combine healthcare with tourism.

Many citizens and outsiders have expressed concern that Phú Quốc was chosen because it is a special economic zone where government policies can be tested more easily. It is also close to international waters between Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand.

This scheme has allegedly been carried out in Myanmar: a hospital ship waits offshore, and when a transaction is arranged, the customers fly in. The organ seller is then brought aboard the ship for the procedure.

A chilling example from China

In mainland China, the government reportedly collects blood samples from children and members of the public on a regular basis, supposedly for health checks. But what the samples are actually used for is difficult to determine.

China has an estimated 700-800 million surveillance cameras, accounting for around half of the world’s total, yet large numbers of people go missing every day, particularly children.

Many people suspect that when a government official or wealthy person becomes ill and needs an organ transplant, the system can be searched to identify a compatible donor.

Then, using surveillance cameras in the area where that person lives, authorities could allegedly stage an incident in which the person is hit by a vehicle. An ambulance would arrive at the same time, and that might be the last time anyone ever sees them.

What has happened in Vietnam?

On the afternoon of May 6, 2016, Việt Đức Hospital in Hanoi worked with Chợ Rẫy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City to successfully perform two cross-country multi-organ transplants, a heart transplant and a liver transplant, for two police officials.

Source of the organs: A 20 years old man who had been involved in a traffic accident and was declared braindead at Chợ Rẫy Hospital.

Recipients: Two police officials, one of whom had retired. One patient received a heart transplant, and the other received a liver transplant.

This crosscountry organ transplant case raises many questions, because the accident happened in Ho Chi Minh City, while the recipients were in Hanoi. The young man had barely suffered the accident before his organs were reportedly preserved and transported straight to Hanoi in what seemed like the blink of eyes.

After the transplants, Tô Lâm, who was then Minister of Public Security, and Nguyễn Thị Kim Tiến, former Minister of Health, personally visited the patients at Việt Đức Hospital to inquire about their condition after surgery.

That alone gives you an idea of how high-ranking those two police officials, including the retired one, might have been. It raises the question: Was the young man really just an accident victim whose organs happened to be donated to these officials?

People have the right to raise questions about cases like this

Vietnam has very poor data security. Citizens’ personal information is frequently bought and sold openly.

And what if there were a covert government policy behind all this?

Suppose a law legitimizing organ donation were passed, and the corrupt officials obtained DNA information of children who had voluntarily agreed to donate their organs. What if they then found a way to make those children overcome "accidents”?

And the doctors "failed" to save them, declared them braindead, and harvested their organs to sell for hundreds of thousands dollars per organ, all under the pretext of voluntary donation to save someone else’s life?

Would that mean every healthy child was effectively being lined up for surgery?

Remember that, given the current state of health among Vietnam’s population, organs from children under 18 could be considered especially valuable. They have not yet been exposed to years of smoking, drinking, drug use, and other harmful lifestyle factors. By the time people get older, their intestines, livers, lungs, and kidneys may already be in poorer condition.

Children’s organs are fresh, full of vitality, and potentially associated with a longer useful lifespan exactly what the ultra-rich would want.

Legal precedent: The “BMW55” case

Nguyễn Sỹ Cương, a former member of the National Assembly, allegedly drove a teen girl dead, paid only a few thoudsands dollars in compensation, and was then exempted from criminal prosecution.

This has been described as a legal precedent. If similar cases occur in the future, someone runs over a child under 18, kills them, pays thousands dollars, and walks away scot-free; that would be extremely dangerous for Vietnamese children.

If someone can commit a crime without going to prison, pay thousands dollars in compensation, and potentially obtain organs worth hundreds thousands, would they do it?

How many such incidents could happen every day?

Only 5 days for the survey?

Why rush to force 100% of children to complete organ-donation opinion forms within just five days?

When the government wants to push something harmful to the public, it has to be done quickly. If it takes too long, parents will start protesting and cause quite a lot trouble

According to the government’s announcement, the goal is to obtain opinions from 100% of children.

Doesn't this resemble the requirement that 100% of citizens must vote?

If 100% of children are surveyed, the result could conveniently become 100% approval. When children are at school, they tend to agree with whatever their teachers, schools, and government authorities tell them to agree with.

Organ donation is an issue for adults, involving death and the right to make decisions about one's own body. It is not something that children should be forced to fill out forms about within a few days just to meet a quota.

Children even have to be accompanied by their parents when going to medical appointments. Now the authorities want to ask children about organ donation without consulting their parents?
