I had an informal in person interview with my Ops Manager and then a virtual one with that same ops manager on Chime. I'm only writing this to help others who are frantically searching reddit for PA interview questions like I was. Here are the questions I was asked...
My area manager put in a good word for me but I have no idea if that impacted the length of my interview or the importance of my answers. To be honest my stories were trash but I stuck to the STAR method as best as possible. Both interviews my ops manager stressed that STAR was important. I asked two questions to the manager at the end because it is important to ask questions even if you don't really care about the response

My work is from 7:30 a.m to 6:00 p.m. I took a whole day emergency leave today, and it was approved. But now, itās showing only 7:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m Time Off in my A to Z app. Should I be concerned about it and talk to HR or is it normal?

Hi all I just got a job offer with Amazon as a FC associate and itās a full time job. Iāve been out of work for a while so I know going into a demanding job isnāt the best idea but itās the only place thatās willing to give me a chance at this point, everyone else just seems to brush me off. But anyway Iām really anxious about my first day and whatnot. A friend of mine who works there said they donāt really train you and leave you to your self, that you have to ask people what to do. Iām a socially awkward person but i know that shouldnāt stop me from asking. But shouldnāt it be typical of a training day at the least on the first day? Overall just anxious about it.
Also, what duties will I be fulfilling? As far as I know youāre mostly sorting/packing etc

I used to work at an ixd. I'm interested in transferring back, but not sure what the difference is in Transfer Out Dock and regular Transfer Out. I know One is just building walls and the other is loading upp/wood pallets with the forklift and building upp pallets off of a conveyor. I want to go back to the forklift/upp choice but I can't remember which one it was and it doesn't specify in my job history in a to z.
If anyone knows which is which I'd appreciate the help. Thanks!

I worked at Amazon back in 2024 and worked in the Stow department. I loved it a lot and eventually moved up to Ship Dock, but life happened, my UPT went negative, and I got fired.
I recently went back to Amazon, but I was placed in Pick. Not a fan of it, not gonna lie. I resigned on my third day back via A-to-Z without penalties and had positive UPT.
I'm ready to go back again (hoping for Stow/Dock), but I am hearing all types of stuff. Some say it takes 24-72 hours to go back. Others say 30-90-180 days to apply again. My Job Portal explicitly says 180 days.
I accepted that and decided to wait, but now people are telling me I can "still apply again and don't have to wait for 180 days." It's sending me in circles.
Since I left in good standing with positive UPT, is the 180-day portal message just a standard system glitch for short tenures, or is there a specific way to contact Candidate Support to get this cleared up sooner? What have you guys experienced with this?

Hi everyone,
Iām joining Amazon UK in December and wanted to understand how onboarding and joining dates typically work during that month.
I have a few questions for people who joined Amazon UK, particularly Cambridge or other UK offices:
Do new hires generally join every week, or are joining dates restricted to specific dates?
Does Amazon continue onboarding new employees throughout December, or is there usually a pause around Christmas and New Year?
Have any of you joined in the first, second, or third week of December? How was the onboarding experience?
If there are delays with visa processing, is it generally possible to adjust the joining date within December, subject to HR and immigration requirements?
I understand that this may vary by team and location, but Iād appreciate hearing about your recent experiences.
Thanks in advance!

So I work at a sort center and a bunch of people I was hired with are suddenly wearing blue vests that say āLearning ambassadorā but they still have white seasonal badges. Are these people paid more? Or are they taking on more responsibility for no reason and will be laid off like everyone else come January?

Are the suits and other PPE they provide good at keeping you warm?

Hi. Iām a white badge on ship dock at FC. What are some tips to stay at rate? I notice when Iām on the line palletizing and scanning, the rate shows Iām over on the kiosk or scanner but when I go to my atoz app it always says Iām not meeting the rate expectations. Then there are some days where there isnāt enough work to make rate. Any help would be appreciated because I want to convert to blue badge and I feel this will stop me.

Where can I get more in on this ? And is this a benefit that my husband can use as well, or just me as the employee???
He is considering bankruptcy or at the least credit negotiation would be helpful.

This is my first week at Amazon. I love working at the sort center so far. The people are great, and I like the work. But, I did have questions about VTO. I work two jobs totaling about 60 hours a week, and I have three kids including a baby at home. My shift ends at 1am every day. I definitely want to take VTO. How soon will it be offered? Can I expect to get much VTO in an average month? Will I be punished for taking too much? Any advice is appreciated. Wife and I are losing our minds with sleep deprivation right now lol.

I recently got hired as an Amazon Sortation Center Warehouse Associate. My current schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 11:30 PM to 3:30 AM.
I want to switch to Sunday through Friday, keeping the same hours but having Monday and Saturday off. Basically, I want to replace my Saturday shift with Sunday.
I submitted a hardship adjustment on the A to Z app
I was wondering
I'd appreciate any advice from people who have dealt with this situation. Thanks!

Our father, who art on his yacht.
Bezos be thy name.
Thy package come, transaction done.
With free 2 day shipping.
Give us this day our daily standup.
And forgive us our missed punches.
As we forgive those with past due Knets.
And lead us not into negative UPT.
But deliver us VTO.
For thine is the shipping.
And the streaming.
And the web services.
Forever and ever.
Ame'zon

So they didnāt show us much on my second day. My trainer just said scan a package coming down the chute. Then scan a package on the pallet. Then put the package in the pallet. Does it matter what package you scan on the destination pallet? Can I just put the package anywhere on the pallet in any direction??? For my logic brain I donāt understand how that works.

Anybody that works at or worked at DET6 in Detroit know if they keep seasonals after peak?
