Feel free to let me know if this is not the place to post this, but it was a free drum kit so if anybody has it it would be you guys. I tried downloading it from their website but it seems to be broken for me for whatever reason. If anybody could put the kit into a google drive or WeTransfer, I would be thankful forever!!!

hey all. afugazi here, we're a small team that makes plug-ins for producers.
sidechain is on most of the beats we make, and it always bugged us that a tool this simple usually costs money. so we made our own and we're giving it away. no account, no email.
it's called recoil. put it on your 808 (or pads, or the whole beat), send it your kick, and it ducks under every kick. with attack, hold and release at 0 it follows the kick's waveform itself, that ring mod sidechain sound. turn them up and it's a normal duck. it listens to your real kick, so off-grid drums work too. six presets: ring mod, heavy, light, normal, bass and vocal.
vst3 + au on mac, vst3 on windows. download link in the comments.
curious what you put it on first.

I'm looking for authentic VST instruments or sample libraries of Soviet-era and Eastern European electric guitars and basses for a musical project focused on recreating their original sound.
In particular, I'm interested in:
* Musima Eterna Deluxe, Record and Elgita
* Jolana Marina, Diskant and Diamant
* Stella stereo guitar
* Soviet-era electric bass guitars
I'm especially interested in recordings or sample libraries made from the actual instruments, rather than generic guitar sounds or modern approximations.
Has anyone come across any existing libraries, recordings, or projects dedicated to these instruments? Even obscure archives, old sample CDs, or unfinished projects would be helpful.
Are there any raw multisamples or archived sample CDs made from the actual instruments, even if no playable VST instrument was ever released?

Hey everyone,
I've been playing guitar for 17 years, and I'm left-handed. I don't have the space at home for amps, so I play almost entirely through plugins. The problem is that most good ones are really expensive, and that always bugged me.
So I decided to make my own. WirkAMP is a plugin built around the sound I like and the effects I'm used to having on my pedalboard, and it works for pretty much any style. Since I wanted it to be more than just an amp, I also added drum samples to jam over, practice exercises and a chord library.
It's completely free, and it's a passion project. I do it because I love music and guitar, not for money. I'd be happy if other players find it useful, whether you're a beginner or have been playing for years.
If you try it, I'd love to hear what you think and what you'd like to see added.

Thanks guys !

I got back into music production recently after being away from it for a long time.
One thing I immediately remembered was how ridiculous sample hunting can get.
Years ago I had folders and folders of sample packs and would sit there clicking through 100 kicks or hi-hats trying to find the one that worked.
This time I was starting again on a fresh computer with basically no sample library.I had also been messing around with connecting Claude to Ableton, which made me wonder:
Why can't I just ask something like:
"find me a short acoustic kick around 140 BPM that I can use commercially"
…and have it search public sample libraries for me?
So I ended up building that for myself.
It currently searches sources like Freesound, SampleRadar, Internet Archive, Wikimedia, ccMixter and others, and puts the results in one place with previews and whatever metadata is available.
The part I cared about most was licensing. I wanted to be able to quickly tell whether something was actually usable in a commercial track rather than finding a great sample and then trying to figure out where it came from.
I also added an API/MCP because I wanted Claude and other tools to be able to search for samples directly while I’m working.
I've been using it myself and thought other producers might find it useful too. (100% free not angle here)

Hope you would find it helpful, sourcecode is available there on github for the nerds around here

Hey all, I've been learning plugin development for my university thesis and built a stem splitter I wanted for my own workflow. It's free, so I figured I'd share it here to see if anyone is interested in also using a stem splitter for vocal mix training or sampling.
It's fully free, uses no large language models so no AI is trained on your data or anything you upload into it, runs fully locally so running it doesn't require any internet.
I had it split stems into either 4 or 6 stems: vocals, drums, bass, melody, and if you need anything a bit more specific you can do guitar and piano. Quick warning, since this is locally ran, the speed of the extraction will be based a bit off your PC performance, but for quick samples and loops it does finish quite quick (if you upload longer tracks you can also split specific loops inside).
I also added some bpm detection and manipulation, as well as key manipulation so you can pitch up or down and speed up or down.
I created a quick promo video for it so feel free to check it out and if enjoy it download it in the link below (BOTH WINDOWS AND MAC ARE NOW SUPPORTED) :)
