i am becoming a amazon seller

I am trying to make Amazon seller account, but before that I have to make a GST and I am doing that, but the thing is where I am staying right now. I don’t have any rental agreement or something like that to upload the document on GST portal, but I am adding my permanent home address, so I have only one questionnaire like if I’m doing this like on GST, I am adding my permanent home address, and after that after opening a seller account, I am doing business for different location so that would be an issue or not.

PREP / SHIPPING Starting a private label supplement brand on FBA: ungating and manufacturer advice?

Hey everyone!

I’m launching a private label supplement brand on Amazon US and UK and have a few questions:

  • What documents did Amazon ask for to get ungated (COA, GMP, etc.)?
  • China or US/Europe for manufacturing, and why?
  • Any tips for vetting a reliable manufacturer?

Or any other advice you think would help, would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance !

INTERNATIONAL 3000 units of one SKU sitting in China, FBA or AWD for a year-long sell through?

I sell one SKU, nothing fancy, and I've got 3000 units in China ready to ship. Realistically it'll take me about a year to sell through. So the question is basically: send it all into FBA and eat the storage fees for 12 months, or park it in AWD and let Amazon dribble it in as needed?

Every calculator I run gives me a different answer because the fee buckets are confusing. FBA hits inbound transportation, the inbound convenience fee, and monthly storage on everything sitting there. AWD layers processing, transportation, and its own storage fees, but the units aren't all sitting in FBA racking up fees.

I've also heard storage gets more expensive once inventory ages past 90 days, which is basically my whole timeline.

Anyone actually run this comparison on a slow mover? What did you land on?

INTERNATIONAL European sellers: how do you decide which Amazon marketplace to launch a product in?

Hi all,
I'm curious how sellers here handle multi-country research in Europe (DE, FR, IT, ES, UK).
Do you check BSR and competition in each marketplace one by one, or do you use a tool for that? What's the most annoying part of comparing countries?
Also: which tools do you use for BSR / FBA info right in search results, and what's missing from them?
Thanks, trying to understand how people actually work.

CUSTOMER MGMT : FBM sellers: the Dec 18 prepaid return label change, and what I’d set up now

Quick PSA because I’ve seen a few people confused about this.

From December 18, 2026, returns on seller-fulfilled (FBM) orders in the US need a prepaid return label within 7 calendar days of the return request, or a full refund. If you don’t do either, Amazon can issue a returnless refund and take it out of your account. Heavy and bulky items are excluded for now.

What I’d do before peak season: - Turn on prepaid return labels or automated return authorization in your return settings, so a request can’t sit in your queue for a week. - Decide on a “refund, no return” threshold for low-value items. Paying return shipping on a $12 item rarely makes sense. - Make sure whoever handles returns over the holidays knows about the 7-day clock. - Keep records of every return you approve or deny. If a returnless refund gets charged back to you by mistake, that’s what you’ll need to dispute it.

Has anyone already switched their FBM returns over? What did you set as the refund-without-return threshold?

Checked In Status Going on 4 Weeks - October 2026

Going into week 4 with a checked-in status for an LTL pallet. Previous shipments went from checked in to receiving in less than 2 weeks. Is this normal around this time of year? Any tips other than shipping sooner? Thanks!

New fba seller/non-US resident

I m going for setting up llc with northwest in Wyoming. They charging me 200 bucks for E.I.N...should i do it myself through faxing or get them do it?
Next thing they are giving option for setting a later date for llc setting tho the files and process starts now like if I set later date 1 Jan 2027, they gonna do all paper work and stuff and my llc goes live on 1st jan (new tax year) so that way i dont have to pay $60 state fee and taxes filing for 2026 even if don't have sales...that might also include hiring an accountant which costs way more.

PREP / SHIPPING FBA shipment blocked for 2 months: “No fulfilment centres in the destination country capable of receiving the product”

Has anyone experienced this error when creating an FBA inbound shipment?

“This product must be removed from the shipment because there are currently no fulfilment centres in the destination country capable of receiving the product.”

No problems in UK marketplace , product is shipped and selling fine.

I have this problem in ITALY marketplace.

I’ve been stuck for approximately two months. Amazon Support reviewed the listing and said two attributes were causing the issue:

  • The expiration date setting needs to be “No” or “false.”
  • The number_of_boxes attribute needs to be set to 1.

I’ve changed the expiration date setting to “NONE,” which is the option I found. However, I cannot find a “number of boxes” field anywhere in the listing editor, so I haven’t been able to make that change.

The shipment issue is still unresolved. I’ve asked Support to confirm whether “NONE” is correct and explain exactly where to update number_of_boxes.

Has anyone successfully fixed this? Is number_of_boxes accessible through a flat-file upload or another method when it doesn’t appear in the listing editor?

Any firsthand experience would be appreciated.

SEARCH RANKING Featured Offer/Buy box Question

I'm new to selling on amazon, I sell one specific product I source wholesale, an established brand. I have one other FBA competitor on the same ASIN. When I launched a week ago I had the buy box and sold 4 units in 2 hours and I was elated. Since then, the buy box was given to the other seller and hasn't moved since. Trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I haven't sold a single unit since. I'm the cheapest seller and have been since launch, I am FBA so deliveries are quick. I've had no chargebacks etc. Literally the only thing I have against me is I have no reviews/feedback due to being so new, but I didn't think reviews effected that. I would have hoped to be featured even once over the last week, but nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

Unauthorized FBA seller won’t go away, how did you guys get rid of yours?

Hey everyone, need advice from people who’ve been through this.

A few weeks ago an FBA seller jumped on our main listing and took the Buy Box by undercutting us. We have zero authorized resellers or distributors and never sold wholesale to anyone. Checked our own store orders for bulk buyers too. Nothing.

So we did a test buy. The unit that arrived has a newer label version we never sent to Amazon or sold anywhere. Pretty sure our factory is selling units out the back door.

What we’ve done so far: filed a “Product received is different” report in Brand Registry with the test buy order and photos. IP/counterfeit reports keep getting rejected because our trademark is allowed but not registered yet, so our lawyer is filing the Statement of Use now. Lowered our price a bit to hold the Buy Box, and planning Transparency once the mark registers, with codes applied on our end, not at the factory.

Questions for you guys. Has a “different product” report with a test buy actually gotten a hijacker removed for you? Is a cease and desist worth it against these generic-name sellers? Any way to speed things up while the trademark is still pending? And how did you handle a factory leaking stock?

Appreciate any help, this one’s eating our sales.

PPC Sudden ROAS Drops Since September?

Any Amazon PPC agencies (or individuals for that matter) seeing sudden ROAS declines for specific clients since September? My API data is showing a dramatic increase in suggested keyword bid ranges, and I can’t tell if Amazon is charging me more or everyone more. The suggested ppc cost increase is dramatic: 5x increased cost that far exceeds what the category should support, up to $5 a click for an average $10-$17 sell price in the category. And the increase is across all keywords not just a few. It’s not making a lot of sense.

INVENTORY MGMT Dealing with inventory concentration

Hi all. I've seen a significant YoY decline in my long-time ASINs (sold since 2016-2017) sales. This decline started rather suddenly in February 2026 without any significant actions on my part (e.g., changing the listing, changing images, etc.) So I've been spending time investigating what might explain it.

Recently I discovered that the "Same/one-day catalog impression share" for my top ASINs dropped from the mid-50s% to the mid-20s% YoY, meaning my ASINs are advertised with fast delivery about half as much as they used to be.

Further analysis shows that my ASINs are stocked in fewer fulfillment centers this year than last. (One ASIN dropped from being stocked in over 60 FCs to only 10 FCs.) And the percentage of my total inventory stored in the FCs with the five largest inventory counts has increased from ~60% to over 90%. So it appears the delivery issue may be caused by my inventory being concentrated in fewer FCs.

Back in the old days (2016) when I started selling, Amazon was aggressive about moving inventory around to get it close to customers. It seems like, at least for me, that's not the case any more. Has anyone else experienced something like this and, if so, have you had success in somehow getting Amazon to distribute your inventory more widely?

Thanks.

P.S. We'll ignore for the moment that having Amazon manage inventory and move it automatically around to ensure quick delivery is one of the main benefits our FBA fees are supposed to be paying for...

First video identity verification for an existing account - what should I expect?

Hi everyone! Has anyone based in Canada completed Amazon’s video identity verification for an existing seller account? I’ve been asked to complete it within 14 days, and this is my first time. What questions did they ask, and what documents did you need? Did they request anything beyond the documents listed in the email? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!

When do I quit my job?

TLDR:

I make 75K/yr, cost of living is 3K/month, 300K in sales in 4 months doing Amazon/eBay electronics wholesale, 20% earnings before income tax, I have 200K in inventory/cash and no debt. Cash is holding back my business. Inventory turnover is 30-45 days. 40hr/week at day job, 10-20hr/week business. When do I quit my job?

Full:

I graduated from college at the end of last year and started my job early this year. I’m an engineer and make 75K/yr at 40hr/week salary. My job is decent, somewhat flexible, purposeful, but has very little PTO.

I moved away from my friends and family for this job, and I have not really settled or made any sort of foundation here. I feel like all I do anymore is sleep and work.

My business mainly revolves around Amazon now, but has some hold in eBay and I’d like to pursue that more as time goes on, all of which is in electronics wholesale. I have had this business on and off throughout high school and college, and over the last 7 years I had total sales of around $1.2 million (not including this year). Last year I did 400K in sales with a roughly 18% EBIT, but I stopped my business in August/September of last year as I wasn’t sure where or what I was going to be doing after graduating.

I started my business back up early June of this year and took it more seriously than before. Since then I have done around 300K in sales with a 30% gross margin. My EBIT should be roughly 20-22% since it’s been smoother this year.

I usually work on my business for 10-20hrs/week. My business is mainly being held back by cash although having more time to focus on it could wouldn’t hurt. My turnover on inventory is roughly 30-45 days, and I have no employees.

I currently have around 200K in inventory/cash and no debt. My current cost of living is around 3K/month.

I know I’m not gonna work a job forever, but I guess I’m just concerned about the stability of my business. I’m also worried that if my business fails and I have to get a new job that I may struggle to find a job similar to the one I have now.

If anyone has been through something similar or has any advice or maybe a target to hit that would help immensely. I’m just looking for the freedom that having my own business would provide.

TOOLS / SERVICES Sellers who used (or quit) FBA reimbursement services: what actually worked and what made you stop?

I’m researching inventory-reconciliation problems for marketplace sellers in Latin America (Mercado Libre’s fulfillment program) and want to learn from the FBA experience first. Not selling anything, no links.

  1. Do you audit lost/damaged/unreturned inventory yourself, use a service, or ignore it? Why?
  2. If you used a service: what % did you pay, was it worth it, and why did you stop (if you did)?
  3. What made you uncomfortable (account access, aggressive claims, account health risk, fees on reimbursements that got reversed)?
  4. Which single feature mattered most?

Negative experiences are the most useful to me.

How do you tell which creator drove an Amazon sale?

I've been running offsite creator traffic to my Amazon listings for about a year now, currently working with 15 or so people from YouTube, TikTok, and a couple of newsletters. Sales are up, which is great, and I have absolutely no idea who to credit for it.

Here's what I can see: clicks from the tracking links I set up, total revenue per month, and a general sense that things are working.

Here's what I can't see: which of those 15 people are driving purchases versus which ones are just generating traffic that bounces. I've got creators I'm paying a lot of money to and gifting product to and I honestly could not defend those decisions with data if someone asked me to.

At some point I need to decide who to renew, who to bump up, and who to stop working with altogether, and right now that decision would basically be vibes.

Is everyone in this position or is there something obvious I'm not doing?

California CPA specializes in Amazon FBA?

Hello, would anyone be able to share a good cpa and hopefully share a little bit about their experience with them? I prefer a cpa within California (as you know) were one of the most regulated and taxed states in the country and so I want to make sure this person knows our tax laws well.

I open to others outside of the state as long as you’re a California resident and has 1st hand experience with this cpa. I’m seeing some online and many seem to offer package deals of X amount of $$$ per month. Ranging from $500-$1000+. I’m a new seller and that seems quite steep at least for a newbie. Your help is appreciated

INVENTORY MGMT Whats the best loan to supplement FBA inventory overhead etc?

Whats the best loan to supplement FBA inventory overhead etc?

So far I've been barely doing six figures gross as we all know theres a ton of overhead costs mostly inventory. I've been using my real full time job to fund it all but I feel it might be time to get a loan to take things to the next level?

I keep hearing on e-commerce podcasts about loans and how they can help out especially if the rates low.

So far I got 50K loan offer at 9% many are saying thats really good. I have excellent credit and again make 6 figs from my real job and another 6 figs from the FBA(barely with a ton of overhead)

I'm also getting a big bonus commission from my real job in about 18months so I know the moneys coming in either way. But I definitely want to scale up my FBA.

PREP / SHIPPING Ship directly from supplier or home first

I'm in the midst of launching my first private label item.

Should I ship directly from my supplier to the Amazon warehouse or eat the shipping costs and ship it from the supplier (China) to my house and the to Amazon's warehouse?

The packages item weighs about 2lbs per unit. Box dimensions are 17x14x2.

Thoughts?
