I'm all for pushing the boundaries of hc and trying new musical things but the closed hi hat breakdowns that i feel like a lot of new bands are pretty fond of is not it. If you're playing a breakdown, play a breakdown. Open that shit up so we can throw down!

that is all.

Who went to the listening party last night in Toronto for there new album and did anyone enjoy there new signature seltzer they released for the event last night?? I heard there is positive reactions for there upcoming release next week.

There’s a hxc song that references the movie American Me. it either starts with or ends with “We got our own cliqua; strong cliqua. we don’t fake it, we just take it, carnal.” and i cannot for the life of me think of the song and band name. anyone ???

So I really love straight edge hardcore and am invested in edge culture and recently sobered up and want to claim edge but I wanna know if I can smoke weed after I convert? I know edge is about sobriety but I definitely don’t act any different after I smoke so I feel like that wouldn’t count right?? I’m not addicted or anything either I just smoke to help with anxiety and so I can eat without feeling nauseous and it helps me sleep and keeps the headaches away so I can’t stop but I’m not addicted I just use it as a tool to help me be myself. Also i make sure I consume it very ethically and am conscious about knowing where it comes from and buying local and making sure it’s organic. I know mind altering substances are a big no no in the straight edge community but I truly feel like im different about the way I go about it and feel like I should be allowed to put the Xs in my bio. I’ve actually already changed my insta handle so I hope that the answer isn’t no. xThanksx

Not something I expected but I can dig it.

Genuinely love the final product as it stands. Influences Terror, Converge, Evergreen Terrace, Champion and Verse. Passion project, had to push the music out of my system.

Wanna get more into the Metallic side of Hardcore. Any recommendations?

This is so awesome. Someone from this community has made it big and its introducing others to this music. I’m going to get downvoted to hell but I think you don’t like the fact that turnstile has crossed barriers. You don’t like that they are now “mainstream” girl shut up. I’m almost 40 and this is dope as hell. Let’s just all appreciate a win hey??

Closest metro city works. I'm ok casting a wide net. Current means that must be activly touring. Here's my three:

Boston

1. Haywire

2. Have Heart (I guess thay are back together and touring)

3. Dropdead (yeah, I know they are from Providence. So what, fuck you...)

Edit: I feel a little bad focusing too much on the classic/ obvious bands. So here's my list digging a little deeper into the underground.

Boston:

1. Rejekts

2. With Hate (never seen them, but killer 7")

3. Uniformed Service (only a demo out, I think)

Also, Converge should probably be on this list somewhere, but oh well...

Plans changed. Help me y’all $40 for both

This rips.

For me, it’s Geno’s in Portland Maine

Lookin for someone primarily in the Midwest but that’s not a deal breaker.

Bored of seeing Turnstile posts so I thought lets ask something I've been wondering for a while. Are the lyrics of Have Heart - Unbreakable (Just love the world that won't love you back) vs. Guns Up! - Test My Will (Why should i love a world that won't love me back?) in response to each other or just coincidence?

I know these t-shirts from Have Heart and Guns Up! that I have are definitely a response. So always wondered if it even went further and came back in the lyrics. I'm from The Netherlands so I have no clue, maybe someone from the Boston scene can tell me?

sorry for the slow update.

HAVE FUN!

The whole pit clears after some random juggalo lifted me over his shoulder and started spinning me. Almost kicked a few guys in the face

I dont think he had bad intentions, it was fun regardless

This was last week the day after slapshots final show

The video cut it out but I was thrown into the front crowd right after

I have zero desire to not see Blacklisted.

I&D was great last year, but I went all four nights, not up for it this year.
Still feel strongly they should be refunding based on no Blacklisted but oh well.
Asking $30 but honestly, make me an offer.

I'm on vacation in Japan and I'm debating seeing Touche Amore next week but the issue is I'll be in Osaka when they play in Tokyo so I'd have to take the Shinkansen there(about 3 hour train ride one way) and possibly spend the night out and take the train back as early as possible the next day...but I wanna know if any other good bands are worth checking out that will be swinging by Osaka

AOTY. Denver HC. FFO: NYHC, good music

Mid-tempo Nails is a dangerous beast.

Text of the GFM from Christian Hell:

“I’m raising funds for myself and my bandmates after the tour van was broken into and stolen while I was staying at a hotel in Bakersfield. I did everything I could think of to protect my gear and our personal belongings. I even stayed in the van until 7:45 in the morning on guard watch as a contingency to prevent this. After spending just two hours back in my hotel room, I came out to find the van broken into and gone. Nothing was left behind but broken glass.

With it, I lost roughly $40,000 worth of boutique gear that I had built up over the past 10 years. The van itself was $5000. The trailer was a rental. U-Haul says the trailer was insured, but, it’s capped at 5K, and theres no knowing if we could qualify.

This wasn’t just equipment to me. It was my life’s work, accumulated piece by piece over a decade.

I need to start replacing this gear by November 27 for my next tour. The funds from this fundraiser will go toward replacing what was stolen so I can restore the gear I rely on and recover from this loss.

Thankfully, the right person bought a majority of the stolen gear, and recognized it as ours thanks to the merch that was leftover. However that only covered 75 percent of the missing items. My personal belongings consisting of graphic design tools, electronics , lighting fx, one of my amps, a bag of backup fx pedals , all of the bass and guitar cabs, some of my recording gear, clothes, personal collectibles, and the tour manager’s van are still missing.

If you’re able to help, any donation would mean a lot to me and my touring support team. Even sharing this fundraiser would make an impact as we try to rebuild the stolen goods are still at large.”

Lyric: Gossip and spreading rumours, half-truths and fake news is something that everyone enjoys without realizing how dangerous it can be. People who spread rumors easily find themselves in a situation where they themselves become the object of rumours.

People say it sounds like: Spermbirds, Warzone, PTTB, UK Subs…
