Ich ziehe nächste Woche nach Heidelberg und ich mag es zu singen🎶

In Stuttgart hab ich in einem Chor gesungen und bin ab und zu mal mit Leuten zum karaoke gegangen z.B. in einer Bar am campus

Gibt es denn irgendwelche Orte, die karaoke machen? Am besten studentisch, aber geht auch was allgemeineres. Ich weiß noch nicht ob ich weiter im Chor singen würde aber falls jemand hier irgendwo singt gerne was erzählen

Würde dort auch gerne andere Leute kennenlernen, die gerne Singen aber bin eher introvertiert

Hi! I’m going to be in Frankfurt and Heidelberg later on in the month and I hope to visit some record stores (and guitar shops) while there. I was wondering if anyone on this forum is from either city and would be able to recommend any stores to visit. Preferably for punk, metal, noise rock type stuff. Thanks in advance!

Any body want to start a band or play some music or maybe both? I wanna play bass in a band. I like punk and jazz and noise and pretty much anything that is interesting. I know it's pretty unfathomable that any one could actually be bored in this amazing place with so much to do all the time. But it's possible.

I would like to learn to play violin. I am a total beginner so I need a school or a tutor who would teach me from the beginning, but also with reasonable price.

Was anyone else in similar situation? Any recommendations?

P.S. I speak German too, but I see most of posts here are in English.

Hey ich bin 20 Jahre alt und total Musikbegeistert. In wohne in der Nähe von Mannheim/ Heidelberg und bin auf der Suche nach Möglichkeiten um an Auftritte ranzukommen. Ich habe bereits Erfahrung durch kleinere Auftritte egal ob für Privatfeier oder durch das Gesangsunterricht. Ich würde total gerne mal wieder auf eine Bühne stehen, nur weiß ich leider nicht wie man an sowas rankommt oder wo. (Ich bin Solo-cover- Sängerin). Falls jemand Tipps oder Ratschläge hat, bitte her damit 🤗

I visited Heidelberg yesterday, what a stunning city! When I visited one souvenir shop, I heard a song in German, singed by a male voice and the only words I can remember are "Heidelberg, Neckar" in a succession. The music style was more contemporary, maybe a cover. The voice sounded a bit like the lead singer from AnnenMayKantereit.

Tried finding the song on Youtube, listened to the traditional songs about Heidelberg, but they are not it. I know this is vague, but maybe someone has an idea about the song?

Would love to find the band, as I want to learn more German and music is a great way to help with that.

I am very likely relocating to Heidelberg from my home in USA this summer to pursue my PhD at the DKFZ. I also have a correlating career in classical music and work as an opera singer and church musician. In the USA, these gigs are housed on certain websites and Facebook groups. Can anyone recommend where to look for posting for church gigs and professional opera and choirs? Sadly, I do not speak German yet but plan to take the courses offered at DKFZ.

Also hopefully goes without saying that I’d be very open to working in surrounding cities like Mannheim, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt

Open to any tips for relocating and finding housing as well!

Ich suche eher entspannte Bars oder kleine Bühnen, wo man einfach auftreten und vielleicht andere Musiker kennenlernen kann.

Ich weiß, dass es fast unmöglich ist, einen solchen Raum in Heidelberg zu finden, aber man weiß ja nie:)

Gude! Wir sind die Band Nevver (ehemalig The Dirty Basements), eine Pop-Punk Band aus dem Raum Heidelberg. Wir suchen einen neuen Drummer, da unser aktueller Drummer leider bis zum Jahresende die Band verlassen wird.

Ein paar Infos zu uns: - unser Proberaum befindet sich in Walldorf, wir Proben wöchentlich Mittwochs ab 17 Uhr - wir spielen jährlich circa 10 Gigs bis ca 2h Fahrtzeit entfernt

- wir schreiben und spielen zu 90% eigene Lieder, nehmen Musikvideos auf Songs im Studio auf

hey, so I am going to move to Heidelberg for this semester (I am initially from Mannheim) and I am looking for piano lessons. I was actively playing piano for several years in the Musikschule Mannheim when I was a kind and I always likes this sort of concept, to go to a dedicated school, especially now as i am going to live in a dorm and won‘t have the capacities to have a teacher visit me. What would be a great place to start? Maybe someone here also gives piano lessons for a reasonable price :). German is my mother tongue but english works just as good for me. Lessons on weekends or evenings would be especially favourable, since other times would be difficult to make out due to my lecture times.
