Hi all!
This subreddit is not a NSFW sub, and we've worked to keep it that way. Sometimes that means the rules need to be clarified or otherwise tweaked.
A couple of years ago, we amended the rules to state that "hard core" submissions are not allowed, because we were seeing a disturbing trend of art featuring minors, bestiality, and other extreme themes that you, the users, did not appreciate. We received very positive feedback for that change, with many users making it clear that they do not want this sub to be NSFW.
Since then, we've continued to remove a number of pieces that we considered to be borderline porn because they depicted sexual acts, graphic display of genitals, etc. Again, users have let us know that these are not appreciated, and just as importantly, they are not SFW. However, the difficulty in having a "no porn" rule is in defining what "porn" actually is. As the Supreme Court said ages ago "I know it when I see it", but that doesn't make for a clear and consistent rule.
All that to say that in the spirit of keeping this sub SFW and for making clear what that means, we have looked at other SFW art subs and going forward will follow their lead in that only PG-13 content will be allowed. This means no sexual activity of any kind, no explicit display of genitals, etc.
We will continue to allow tasteful artistic nudes as long as they have the NSFW designation.
We know this will disappoint some users, and we're sorry for that, but again, we are not a NSFW sub and don't want to become one. Please keep that in mind before you post. Thank you!

I drew this using procreate on the iPad.
It was a commission for a table top to be used in a bar.

Decided to make my own cover art for an upcoming release after a few years of zero illustrations made. A bit of a weird process: Abobe Illustrator for the base skeletons from refs and drafts to Procreate for inking details to Photoshop for texturing and finishing touches. And I gotta say I forgot how much joy the inking part brings.
The first idea was to create only the cyberflute, but it felt quite empty, so after the course change I just tucked it in a corner not to fully waste hours of designing it.
And yeah I know the spines look like a stack of taco bell logos, don't at me. What do you guys think?

I really love the contrast between two light sources. Cities at night help create that kind of atmosphere.

The old map had offered little guidance on the journey. Yet there, upon the cliffs, stood two familiar ancient towers.
Third iteration of a cliffside drawing, maybe it's time to move on to other landscapes.
I also included a smaller thumbnail drawing, and a page of various test / practice drawings, and the original sketch on a sticky note

Autumn Wolf, 14 by 17, pen & ink and fluid acrylics on vellum bristol.
I enjoy using pen and ink for illustrations. This one is heavy on drawing and only two days of painting - light washes of color. I used a blue vs orange color theme but mostly muted, earth tones.
