Female fronted alternative rock band “Purple Negative” from Latvia releases a new single “Swimmer” along with an animated music video.

“Swimmer” is a melancholic alternative rock ballad that tells an emotional story of seeking comfort and healing in bodies of water in the aftermath of physical and emotional pain - heartbreak and sports injuries. Experimental, violin bowed guitar textures intertwine with acoustic guitar, creating a fresh, previously unheard of sound to Purple Negative’s musical identity.

I recorded this song ('Apologies') alone in my room. It came out purely on instinct, blending melancholy and a raw, atmospheric vibe.

I'm still navigating the technical side of recording and mixing my own vocals, but I really wanted to get this emotion out there.

Any feedback on the vibe, emotion, or overall feel is super appreciated! Thanks for listening 🙏
