All this news about politics has got me to thinking, What ever happened to my Member of Parliament?? I think his name was... Frank Caputo?? Do I have that right??

Is he alive?? Is he dead?? Should we report him as missing?? Do I need to call the police?? Would I call Kamloops RCMP or the cop shop in Ottawa?? Did he step down from his position?? Was he replaced??

More importantly, is he actually DOING anything for his riding?? Is he still flying?? Like a lot? Like, A LOT, A LOT?!?

Just in case you all didn’t know, Savona Specialty Plywood laid off a majority of its forces Thursday for the foreseeable future while prolonging contract negotiations. Contract ended Jan 1st 2026. SSP kept missing meetings or cancelling negotiations making sure they fell right in bounds of not bargaining in bad faith.
It seems very ironic they wanted to sign the new contract just before they laid off over 65% of their employees.

EDIT: the current contract allows management the ability to move stat holidays around in the name of production. There is no shift differential. First aid only makes an extra .80 an hour which is lowest in Canada.

Personally I have voted for the BC Liberals, the first John Horgan NDP and now for the first time the BC Cons. I have found it very interesting to hear from people why they vote for just one party and that's it! This round for me I voted for the BC Conservatives as I saw them offer the most realistic outlook for BC, and when the Federal election comes up I will most likely be voting for the Federal Liberals.

Unless your dog is a registered service dog, they don't belong at polling stations aka voting stations if you dont know what that is..! Please leave them at home, even if you reealllllly think they belong there with you. There is even signs that dogs are not allowed unless they are service dogs.

This speech was October 8th and I only saw it on tiktok recently. No one else I’ve talked to has mentioned this and still complain about the way this election has been handled—which is fair. I don’t trust politicians but this sounds like a real problem with bad PR on the NDP’s end to me. Curious what you all think.

Context: Autistic.

This summer my electric kick scooter was stolen from my carport while I slept. I have reported it to RCMP & the manufacturer as well as the authorized repair shop in town.

My problem is that I know it is still being used around town due to the built in tracking (Apple/Android). Its last known spot was from last week and was a block up from the Mustard Seed on Victoria and is usually in the trails along the river trail. Those trails between the path & river where you are likely to find tents and other items of similar nature. I am nervous about going out into the wild to find it and being accused of stealing it or something. Like what if I find it at The Mustard Seed? What is the protocol for something like that?
