Would you use a sports booking app in Nepal? Is Rs. 100 per booking a fair commission?

I'm exploring an idea and wanted to get some honest opinions from people who actually play sports in Nepal.

The idea is a single platform where you can find and book sports facilities around Kathmandu Valley — futsal turfs, badminton courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, cricket nets, etc.

Instead of searching Instagram, calling different venues, or messaging them to ask about availability and prices, you'd be able to compare facilities, check available slots, see prices, and book in one place.

I'm considering charging a flat Rs. 100 commission per completed booking, rather than charging users a subscription. The goal is to make booking easier for players while helping venues get more customers and manage reservations.

Before I build too much, I'd love some honest feedback:

  1. Would you actually use something like this? Or are you happy with how you currently book sports facilities?
  2. Is Rs. 100 per booking reasonable? Would it put you off if it were added on top of the venue's listed price?
  3. Who should pay the Rs. 100? The customer, the venue, or should it be split?
  4. What would make you switch from booking directly through calls, Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp?
  5. What is the biggest problem you face when booking turfs or courts in Nepal? Finding availability, getting a response, prices, payment, cancellations, or something else?
  6. Would you trust online availability and booking confirmation, or would you still call the venue to double-check?

I'm not looking for people to tell me the idea is great. If you think nobody needs this, or existing platforms already solve the problem, I'd genuinely like to know why.

If you regularly book sports facilities in Nepal, I'd appreciate your honest take.

Looking for a 2–3 BHK flat for rent in Kathmandu (Budget: Rs. 22–25k)

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a 2 or 3 BHK flat for rent in Kathmandu for my family. I've been looking on other platforms but haven't had much luck, so I thought I'd ask here since I've seen people looking for flats and sharing rental leads in this community.

Preferred locations:

  • Sitapaila
  • Swoyambhu
  • Chamati
  • Banasthali
  • Ajima Hall area
  • Annapurna Chowk
  • Sanobharayang / Thulobharayang

Our requirements:

  • Budget: Rs. 22,000–25,000 per month
  • Parking: Space for 2 two-wheelers
  • Family-friendly environment
  • Easily accessible location, preferably with convenient access to the main road

We're open to considering nearby areas as well if the flat fits our budget and requirements.

If you know of any available flats, have a lead from a landlord, or know someone planning to rent out their place, please leave a comment or DM me. Any genuine leads or recommendations would be really appreciated.

How much does it cost to rent a 2-room place in Kathmandu?

I’m planning to relocate to Kathmandu after Dashain/Tihar and I’m trying to get an idea of the living costs.

I’m looking for a basic place with 2 rooms, ideally a bedroom + kitchen. Nothing fancy, just a decent and reasonably safe place.

Roughly how much would the total monthly expenditure be for a basic setup, including rent, electricity, water, internet, food, etc.?
