I’m planning a trip to Seoul soon and would love to hear everyone’s recommendations!
I’m looking for must-visit places, fun experiences, good food spots, and anything that’s really worth checking out.
I’m also interested in Korean skincare and beauty treatments, so I’d love recommendations for dermatology clinics, treatments you’ve personally tried, or anything you think is worth doing while in Korea.
What are some things you absolutely loved in Seoul? And is there anything you think is overrated or not worth the money?
Would love to hear your experiences and recommendations! 😊

Going to Seoul next month and staying near Myeongdong. I keep seeing head spa videos and the scalp camera and scaling look so satisfying, but the prices are kinda wild.
Has anyone tried one around Myeongdong? Was it actually worth the money or mostly a tourist thing? Would love honest recs.

I have one clinic visit tonight and two more Tommorow morning, all in Gangnam. It's chilly, so I'm glad to packed a jacket. Part of me wants to back out and part of me can't wait. I'll post how the consultations go!

I swear Dean is soooo good!! 🥹❤️ Every single time I visit Korea, I will definitely come back here to do my perm! Dean is super professional and what I love most is that he always gives his most sincere and honest opinions on what actually suits me best. I really trust his judgement and he NEVER disappoints!! Every time after getting my hair done here, I receive sooo many compliments from people asking where I did my hair! 🥰
And the best part is that Dean speaks really good English, so communication is never an issue at all! He makes the whole experience so comfortable and reassuring, especially when you’re trusting someone with your hair in a foreign country. I always leave the salon feeling so pretty and confident!! 😭💕 Really really highly recommended!! Will definitely be back again on my next Korea trip!! ❤️

Had a great experience at THE Beautiful Clinic in Seoul! It was near Nonhyeon station 🇰🇷 The clinic was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Both the consultant and doctor were involved in my consultation, and I appreciated being able to discuss my skin concerns and treatment options with them.
I went in for pigmentation, freckles and broken capillaries and chose a combination of laser treatments. The whole experience felt professional and reassuring, especially as someone visiting from Australia.
Would recommend checking them out if you’re considering skin treatments in Seoul! 💗

Hi
I’m going to be in Seoul next week for a bit and I’m looking for clinic recommendations that do a back acne treatment and acne scars, if they also do facial consultations and treatments it’s a bonus but not a must 🙏🏻

I'm traveling to Korea and would like to get something done in my neck as I'm starting to get lose skin. I would also like to do something to soften my nasolabial folds, and improve the skin appearance in general. I would like something that wouldn't prevent me from getting good results from a face lifting in the future. Any suggestions?
Thank you

My fiance and I will be in Seoul in late November to December. We’re interested in getting Korean body scrubs, but I keep finding women-only places! Ideally, we each get a private room for the bath, so we’d rather not go to traditional jjimjilbangs. Is there a foreigner-friendly spa that offers body scrubs for both genders?
Thanks!

Hi, I’m looking for recommendations for non-invasive facials in Seoul.
I’m pregnant so no medical aesthetic treatments for me this time.
I want a facial that isn’t just cleanse moisturizer mask that’s it. (I can do that at home). I want it customized and thorough. I want to leave pore less and glowing lol.
I was looking at:
Spa Gogyeol
Flow Spa
Spa The El
They all have a prenatal massage which sounds awesome, and I want to add a facial to it.
They also all seem SUPER expensive.
Any suggestions?
Have you heard of these I listed above or have any more suggestions?

Traveling to Korea next month, want to get recommendations on esthetic clinics in Seoul, not looking precisely for the cheap stuff looking for quality and trustworthy doctor, but still affordable, as I don’t really trust all the influencer videos with recommendations, would be good if they speak English or if they offer translate service.
I’m female 32 yers old, I haven’t got any procedures done before, I don’t have wrinkles in my face but been dealing with fine lines and a little sagging on nasolabial folds not extreme but you know insecurities. I’m really scared of HA and in fillers with possibility of migration, as I really love my featured and dont want them to change.
I‘ve been considering Juvelook, Hilowave or maybe some laser (something that doesn’t melt my fat face also scared of this), also Botox for very fine lines around my eyes when I smile big lol, so please help out a scared newbie
I’m all ears for clinic and treatment recommendations 🙏🏽

I've been looking into skin boosters like RE20 and Rejuran, but I keep hearing mixed things about how painful they are.
I'm okay with flu shots and IVs but not sure how i'm feeling about getting injections on the face lol. can you give me some comparisons?

Looking for advice on what can I do for my under eye dark circles with slight hollowness and thin skin in that area.
I'm not considering surgeries and fillers and would like to know if medical devices (thermage etc?), laser, or whatever procedures can help with my under eye issues.
r/KoreaTravelBeauty • u/No-Signature-1928 • 3d ago
I have combo, sensitive skin and my under-eye area is super thin, so I'm starting to notice some early fine lines and general tiredness/dark circles around the eyes. I know Ultherapy focuses more on ultrasound lifting and tightening, while Rejuran Eye is a polynucleotide skin booster for hydration and tissue repair. Since both treatments are sitting right around that same price point under 500K KRW in Seoul, I'm stuck on which direction gives the best overall result for that specific area. Would love to hear from anyone who has tried either (or both), did one help more with brightening dark circles or smoothing out those fine crepey lines under the eyes?

I’ll be in Seoul next week and I’m excited to do some beauty shopping. In addition to doing a pharmacy stop, I really want to bring back some skin boosters. I currently have them shipped to the US from sites like Acecosm but I don’t like the hefty shipping fee. Is there somewhere I could buy them while I’m in Korea? Websites are also okay if they offer fast shipping. Thanks!

I went to DA Dosan yesterday for Re2O
I was searching Instagram for dermatology clinics in Seoul and came across their event, so I decided to make a reservation.
The Re2O treatment was 390,000KRW, which I thought was a pretty good deal clinic was super luxurious and everyone was so friendly . What I liked the most was how private everything . I had my own private room, and the doctor and nurses came to me for the consultation and treatment instead of me having to move around the clinic. It honestly felt like a VIP experience lol.
I also left a Google review and got a free sunscreen as a gift! ☀️
Overall, I had a really nice experience and loved how comfortable and private everything was

I recently got Genesis laser toning with a brightening add-on for some stubborn sun spots, and I'm actually pretty happy with the results so far. Most of the spots have faded a lot, but they're not completely gone. I can still see some faint pigmentation if I look really closely. (Before photos are in my previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/KoreaTravelBeauty/s/mTEnABMWlw)
Now I'm wondering whether I should go for a few more sessions or just leave it alone for now. Do you thinkg more laser toning sessions could get rid of the remaining spots completely, or would a different type of procedure work better?
Has anyone had similar pigmentation and managed to get rid of it? Kinda torn between being happy with what I've got and wanting to get rid of that last little bit.

I recently commented my experience at Yonseiro Dermatology (연세로의료의원) on Sambong-ro near Gwanghwamun/Jongno-1, and was asked to make a separate post with all the details. Sorry it’s VERY long; I’m pretty new to actually posting on Reddit.
Clinic address
(Per Google): South Korea, Seoul, Jongno District, Sambong-ro, 57 호수빌딩
(Per Naver): Seoul Jongno-gu Susong-dong 68-1
I just got back four days ago from Korea and I think I have found the clinic I’ll work with for the foreseeable future! In the past I’ve gone a few times to Shinebeam Hongdae and May in Myeongdong, but wasn’t happy because they didn’t fit the following: a) wasn’t a factory, b) did a consult with the actual doctor in English, and c) had a wide variety of machines. Yonseiro seemed to fit the bill and I liked the fact they seem to be an actual hospital/medical clinic where surgeries and other healthcare is provided.
My concerns this time were pigmentation, very fine lines and very light laxity, and dynamic (vs static) crow’s feet. I also wanted to do skin tightening on my stomach for mild laxity.
This time I had my heart set on Re2O, gentle/non-ablative lasers for tone and pigmentation, Co2 laser for skin tags/flat warts, and then post-care (Cryo, LDM, or a modeling mask pack). I also was considering Thermage for the aforementioned stomach but needed a recommendation.
I contacted the clinic easily via WhatsApp and got the current price list (it’s in Korean and you use your browser to translate; the 10% VAT is already included). I am happy to send the price link to anyone who asks (If I can figure out how to message and it’s allowed to share it) but I’m not sure if it’s still current. Here is the price list I was given for early October. They also have special promotions. After they answered my initial questions and confirmed they offered the services I wanted and promised it would be done in under 4 hours, I booked an appointment.
On my appointment day (a Saturday, no less) I waited briefly before being escorted into an office for my consultation with the doctor. This was the first experience I’ve had that the doctor really took the time to talk to me in truly fluent English, address my concerns, asked WHY I wanted specific treatments (why Re2O and why with cannula method?), and suggested better options (that weren’t necessarily more expensive up-sells) for what I was wanting to address as well as my timeline (can I come back in 2 weeks or is this a one-time thing?). For example, I wanted stomach tightening and when he suggested Thermage but that it’s painful and expensive, I said it was out of my budget and he suggested Onda. I never felt pressured to do more than I wanted or felt upsold. I did ask specifically what he would recommend just looking at my face, and he told me a bit of filler for naso-labial folds. I asked if a relaxer (like Botox) or a different injectable (like HA) would be better and he said relaxers aren’t really effective there and that if I did HA, that I’d need to come back more frequently.
Ultimately I ended up with Re2O, Re2O Fine (specifically made for under eyes), Genesis and Fotona lasers, GV laser for full face, Co2 laser for my neck skin tags, Botox for crows feet and forehead (because it’s way cheaper here than my usual place in the USA), Juvaderm filler for naso-labial folds, and then post-care (Cryo, LDM, AND a modeling mask pack), Onda 120 shots for stomach, plus an IV for whitening (that I got to pick for free and because at this point, why not). In total I paid about $2200 and was there for about 3.5 hours. You can choose less expensive options for fillers and relaxers; I just went with Botox and Juvaderm brand because I have had them in the past without issue.
After my consult I went to another room to make the final decision on what procedures I wanted done; again with a totally fluent English speaker and without any pressure to do or spend more than I wanted to. I loved that there was a wide variety of machines and injectables (for example different kinds of filler and relaxers) so I really could tailor my total cost and the package to truly fit my skin type.
After I paid I was whisked off to start my treatments; all of these were done by the doctor (except the final step) I did the consultation with and I was escorted around and prepped by friendly women. I never had a waiting time between treatments and it was very efficient. First I did the lasers. The care team cleaned my face for me, the doctor came in to do the lasers, checking I was comfortable the whole time. Then, I was given clothes to change into and my stuff was put in a locker. After, I was taken to have numbing cream put on my face and neck, during which it was on I was taken to meet the doctor to do my stomach Onda (only awkward part was walking through the lobby and riding the elevator to a different floor for that). I did my stomach Onda, came back down and immediately had my injections done: Re2O, Re2O Fine, Filler, and Botox. I got injectable anesthetic as well to help with the discomfort, and the doctor checked with me the entire time to ensure I was okay. I should also mention they were very careful to show me the vials, opening packages, and prepping things in front of me. Lastly I went to a room and this was the one part that wasn’t done by the doctor: my whitening IV, Cryo, LDM, and the modeling mask, the latter of the three that are meant to help with recovery.
Afterwards I changed back, and they sent me home with actual post-care directions, the skin booster authenticity cards, as well as serums for my face. I also just found out they wrote me a prescription for a few medications to take for three days, but I wasn’t told about it and just assumed it was an itemized invoice as it was all in Korean. Whoops. I think these are worth mentioning though because the other clinics I had been to didn’t give me anything except a “감사합니다” as I walked out the door.
I’m only 10 days post-procedure but the muscle Botox has already smoothed my crows feet and forehead and the Juvaderm has removed my marionette lines. The Re2O needs more time before I should see results, and I am always happy with the results I see from post-laser work (this time Genesis, Fotona, GV, and CO2). I’m not seeing any results yet from the Onda, but I did it knowing it would take a few sessions and that initial results wouldn’t be seen for a few weeks.
If you’re still here, I’m sorry it was so long, but I hope that was informative. Please let me know if you’ve got any questions!
Edited for typos. Edited again to add the price list link. Edited yet again because it’s GV laser, not CV.

Hello everyone, I need your help ><
I'm from Spain. I will be in Seoul from 18-11-2026 to 29-11-2026, and since I'm planning to do some treatments. I'm unsure if I would be 100% safe to do them in a particular order. I'm 34y old, have medium-toned olive skin, I'm generally happy with my skin and I only have a couple of pimples before of my period, but then they're gone . I take good care of my skin; mostly it's deep moisturising (serum, face and eye cream) and of course, SPF. I'm not using retinol yet, although I probably should. And I use melatoning cream I bought in Korea 2 years ago before sleep but not everynight.
My main concerns are: double chin due to fat (checked and did my reasearch), although I have a generally slim-ish face and take care of my diet, some scarce freckles like a couple here, couple there, a dot around the chin (they started to appear wtih age, mostly on the sides of my face) and some of them are nt very noticiable and others more pigmented.
I'm planning to do: Aquapeel 3mode - Cryo - LED 10 min + Modeling pack , PicoSure Toning, ONDA 60kj (for double chin lifting) , Corner Lip Botox(Coretox) and Jaw Botox 50U (Innotox).
Jaw Botox is mostly because of bruxism, and I clench my teeth unconsciously due to severe anxiety. My face is slightly asymmetrical in the jaw area, and I'm suffering a lot from it.
DAO Botox is on my list, as I always had certain sad/resting bitch downturn smile lines.
Aquapeel is because I've never done any peeling at a clinic, and I've thought it would be beneficial for my dry skin.
I'm aware that PicoSure toning needs 3-4 sessions, but my freckles are not very prominent, and in any case I wanna try to find an alternative laser treatment targeting freckles in my hometown.
My plan is divided between visiting 3 different clinics at 3 different times due to efficiency, economic reasons, and safety (I hope?)
November 20: Aquapeel 3mode - Cryo - LED 10 min + Modeling pack , PicoSure Toning (one clinic)
November 23: ONDA 60kj (another clinic). This treatment is already booked.
November 27: Corner Lip Botox (Coretox) and Jaw Botox 50U (Innotox).
Could you please advise me if it's safe to do these treatments in this particular order? I'm mostly worried about Botox injections; it's my first time. But I won't be able to find them that affordable in my home country.
I also did my research, but I couldn't find a solid answer anywhere... I don't trust ChatGPT as it mostly says it's fine to wait 4 days before Botox in those areas, UNLESS there's redness.
Thank you very much for your time

Has anyone been to a place that offers facials during pregnancy? I know it won’t have all the actives and treatments but just a simple facial before we fly back could work. Unless there are services we can get while pregnant? 20 weeks!
