I'm planning to post about an alternative to METUVpn because the original one has 1000 people limit.

How can I found exam dates for Meche? They only said about that is it will publish in the website of the departman.

So I’m a gap year student, and I’ve been thinking about applying to METU for architecture. I’ve come across mixed opinions and honestly idk if it’s the best fit for an international student. I’ve done some research and the architecture department is quite appealing icl but I’m confused. Please help a desperate student out 🫂

I will apply to METU architecture for fall 2027.
What are the requirements and how to build a strong CV? I need tips 🙏🏻🙏🏻
help of any kind would be appreciated.

Guys, I’m currently on a gap year, and I’ve been thinking about applying to metu for architecture. Is the architecture faculty good? As far as I’ve heard, people say that it’s good but idk the eligibility criteria and whether they consider your co-curricular activities as a part of ur profile. I also need to know the minimum A-Level grade requirement to get in.

Our instructor for Statics (ME) came up with a funny attendance formula, so I wanted to share it with you.

I usually prefer Meche g block study halls. Since it has a vending machine and usually quiete it is perfect to study. What is your favorite place to study?

what would be my odds of getting in with 2 A* 1A predicted A2 grades in phys cs math and a 1440 sat? (mech e)

I am currently a second-year ME student at METU. What advice do you have for ME 203 (Thermodynamics)? For instance, how should I study and what practice problems should I solve in order to get a grade higher than CB? Also, are there any past exams for this course?

I am an international male student and I got 79 dorm score. My mate’s score is 79, too. I wonder how this system works. The last guy’s score who got the dorm has been 89 so far for the first week. Most of pals say that we are gonna get a dorm next week. What are our real chances? Should i worry and try to find a private dorm or an apartmentimmediately?

Hi! I will try to enroll in the faculty of Industrial Design at METU as an international student in 2027. Since only 10 places are allocated for foreigners, I would like to learn about the portfolios and applications of those who have already been admitted. What do I need to do to increase my chances? Did you have any projects in your portfolio?

Selamlar herkese!

Hi everyone!

I am a 1st-year BA student in the Psychology department (female). I am looking for a private room in an apartment or a place as a roommate anywhere near the METU campus (like 100. Yıl, Çiğdem, Ayranci, Balgat, etc.) or somewhere with easy transit to the school.

I only need a temporary place for about 1 month, starting from next Monday (Sep 21) until the end of October. I am an easy-going, neat, and responsible person.

If you have a room available or are looking for a temporary roommate during this time, please send me a DM/comment. Thank you in advance!

Hi! I’m a male METU student majoring in science subjects, looking for a roommate to rent an apartment together in Ankara.

Male or female roommates are both welcome. I’m mainly looking at areas convenient for METU, such as Balgat, 100. Yıl, Çiğdem, Emek, Bahçelievler, Çukurambar, or places near the M2 metro / direct bus routes to campus.

My budget is preferably within 20,000 TL per month, but it’s flexible.

I’m clean, respectful, I don’t smoke, and I’ll mostly be focused on studying. If you’re also looking for a place or already have a suitable apartment and need a roommate, feel free to message me.

Hello gentlemen. I have been interested in studying abroad in Turkey for a while and have been looking to apply to METU in order to undertake my Masters Degree for a while since I already know a few people from Ankara and the University seems to be quite decent.

Nevertheless, I am not familiar at all with the Turkish academic world (this is also the first time I'm trying to apply to a foreign country [I am from the EU after all, Im way 2 accustomed to the Schengen area rules]), so I wanted to have a broad idea on how hard it is to get into METU.

I want to apply specifically to a Graduate Program in International Relations and, while my Undergraduate grades are relatively average, I nevertheless did a lot of extra work with my teachers, namely papers and projects 1-1 with them, including one who has a decent reputation abroad as an expert in China's Belt and Road Initiative, on China, World Politics, and specifically Central Asia, where he carried out on-the-ground doctoral research and even worked with one a former President (he also wrote me a Reference letter). Meaning I might not have the greatest grades ever known to man but I do have quite a lot of work that I can display as-well as references that back me up.

Considering my situation, I would welcome the insight of people with lot more experience regarding this topic and, naturally, any advice that comes with it.

Guys really need your advice. I got accepted to Turkiye Burslari for METU oil and gas, and now I am choosing between staying at Nazarbayev University in Astana (1st year, oil and gas) or moving to Turkey. I mean, METU is top 10 globally in petroleum engineering, which is insane; however, I will spend one additional year while TOMER. I am already 19, so what should I do? Is it worth going?

hi guys! congrats to all the people accepted in the recent application period :) we have a whatsapp group chat of other accepted internationals students, if anyone wants to join to find friends, connect, or ask for guidance on university or visa processes, feel free to join!

mostly international freshmen dominated, but anybody is free to join :)
