Honestly just a rant atp cos im so annoyed.

Context: My two fav perfumes in the world are Phlur Missing Person & Father Figure but never committed to large bottle as they’re a bit out of my price range.

So 2 weeks ago when I when i saw Space NK were doing £20 off £100 and that any Phlur purchase over like £50 had a free travel size father figure perfume I was like hell yes this is the time I finally invest in a full bottle. I was so excited that I was able to get a 50ml Missing person for £20 off AND a travel size father figure for such a great deal like genuinely so chuffed as i love perfumes but can rarely afford big bottles!

However - cut to when the order is shipped (a day late may I add and I have premium delivery, ordered way before cut off) I can see everything but the gift has been shipped, which is sat on ‘awaiting dispatch’. I’m confused to I message customer services ( 🤡) to ask when it will be shipped. At this point I’m a bit disappointed but whatever it’ll probably get shipped tomrrow right? ( 🤡 ). Delivery comes, no free gift of course and I’ve not gotten a response from them yet. I wait a few days, free gift not sent so I message again. To cut a long story short the gift never gets dispatched and over the course of about 12 days I have not once received a genuine response, I have literally emailed nearly every day on the same thread. To make things worse up until like 2 days ago the promotion was STILL LIVE despite it being obvious at this point the gift was probably out of stock! I then got one ‘response’ 4 days ago (if you can call it that) saying ‘I can see the package was delivered last week to you so I assume all is well’. Yes it was, without the gift which I made clear in my emails, I reply instantly saying yes but my point is where is the free gift that was meant to come with my order, I can see the promo is still live on your site so why haven’t I got mine - of course no response again. Today I was like I’ve had enough so sent a long shitty complaint email. Lo & behold 20 mins later I get a response essentially saying that when my order was picked the free gift was out of stock and wouldn’t not be able to fulfilled but they can offer me £10 of points. Okay so why could no one have at least told me this 10 days ago and took the promo off the website then as clearly my emails had been received and ignored. Whatever at this point I knew I was not gonna be getting this gift but why was this promotion still live on the website wayyy after it was out of stock, knowing that they wouldn’t be able to fulfil it with any new orders? As Phlur is so popular I’m sure lots of people will have not gotten this too. I ask them that in my reply and of course that question is completely ignored, they just tell me the points will be issued.

I know this is so long and ranty and blah blah but I’m just so shocked. I’ve never had such an appalling customer service experience in my life and I order alotttt of shit online lol, nor am I a ‘Karen’ in any way lol. Space NK was always the best place to buy high end beauty stuff for me, especially because of their generous exchange policy but this has just completely put me off. Just beware if you’re ordering something only in part to get the free gift as it just feels like a scam atp to get you to buy stuff, I’ve seen other threads about this too for other free gift promos.

I can’t say Sephora is much better as evri just constantly looses my parcels but at least they respond to you fairly quickly and always resolve it immediately.

TL:DR never order any thing from Space NK and expect to get the free gift, you’ll probably be disappointed and at this point it just feels like a scam.

I have religiously used Youngblood loose mineral foundation for years as it suits my skin. Now I can’t find my shade (soft beige) anywhere! Except the YB website but is an additional $25 for delivery since coming from USA 🙈

I use Tretinoin/hylauronic acid/ a fairly simple skincare routine day to day.

Hello everyone! What is the best foundation you have ever used? I’m on CC/BB creams, almost giving up🙈

Can you please recommend concealers, setting powders, products for the above? I’m warm light- medium olive with golden undertones. My shade is NW28 (MAC), ginger (NARS) and medium sand (elf camo concealer).

Every single concealer I’ve tried creases, goes patchy, or transfers onto my spectacles- elf, Maybelline instant age rewind (the one with the powder puff), Maybelline fit me, L’Oréal (tried three different ones). Tried setting powder but not sure if I was even doing it correctly.

I’ve heard great things about glossier stretch balm concealer, which fits the natural look I want.

I have very dry lips and and am looking for some moisturising lip product recommendations. I prefer a natural pop of colour. I mostly wear tinted lip balms in berry that give me the “bitten lip” look but I’d like to expand my collection.

I’d like recommendations for everyday professional wear but also for going out, events, date nights… bonus points if they don’t transfer easily. Budget is drugstore to midrange.

I always start my base with The Ordinary PHA lip exfoliating serum, uriage lip balm and Vaseline rosy lips 10-30 mins before applying lip products.

I’ve used these before:

Nivea berry shine lipbalm- good
Baby lips lip balm- classic that won’t let you down
Fresh sugar tinted lip balms in petal and rose- beautiful shades by horrendous lip balms
L’Oréal colour riche satin lipsticks- 540, and three more shades I can’t remember lol- gorgeous
Maybelline New York Color Sensational Ultimatte Lipstick - More Sepia. Beautiful
Revlon super lustrous lipstick in rum raisin- stunning. I’d like to try raisin rage next
Nyx butter glosses in brownie and praline- beautiful shades but didn’t enjoy the glosses
Rimmel lip liners in nude and spice- these are my HOLY GRAIL

L’Oréal Paris infallible 24hr 2 step lipstick- toffee toujours looks delectable
NARS afterglow lip balms
MAC Macximal lipsticks, especially brick o la, velvet teddy, and cafe mocha
Revlon super lustrous lipstick in raisin rage
Laneige overnight lip mask- did not work. Stage followed by a heavy lather of Vaseline works best

Lip stains:

Elf glossy lipstick stains in berry queen and rose rizzin
Nyx IV dip lip stains in dripping in roses, bubblegum burst, hydra honey

I have been trying to find a eyeshadow that is similar to one of my favourite Barbie Movies “Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus” (if you haven’t seen it what are you doing!!)
The vibes were absolutely amazing, lavender shimmery clouds, soft ethereal pastels
Barbie wears a lavander sheer eyeshadow, which i’m trying to recreate but either i find purples too cool, and pigmented etc.
I recently have ordered the new Ariana Grande Prima palette as i’ve heard it’s a sheer lavander, but i wanted to ask you baddies for some help !

I currently use the collection incredibrow kit (just the darkest shade in the blond palette) and am looking for a single version of that shade. It's so perfect but seems like such a waste to not use the other 2 powders in the kit each time

I think I have a lipstick addiction and I have bought over 100 lip liners, lipsticks, lip glosses that have been swatched / lightly used (70-95% unused).

Is there anywhere at all I can donate them?! I really want to do a massive declutter but it feels like such a waste to throw them all in the bin when majority of them have only been swatched / used twice.

Going to go hunting for some good eyeliner pencils but I want to stick to Superdrug and Boots because it’s a lot cheaper and convenient lol. Want I want specifically is one that:

Doesn’t smudge or go easily because I put it on my waterline and it typically just dissolves 😭

Hi! I'm a big fan of the Cheeryep pallettes, but I can't get everything I need from them. I also really enjoy the formula of the new Marc Jacob's eyeshadows. Essentially, smooth and easy to apply, and good pigmentation.

I'm looking for recommendations which are on par with these formulas ... specifically looking for pinks, reds, burgundy, purples, and blues that will work on pale cool toned skin.

I was looking at Lethal Cosmetics because I could build my own palletes but saw some reviews about the formulas being chalky, which put me off. I also saw mixed reviews about Beauty Bay.

I have had various recommendations made to me - Cosmic Beauty/Brushes has been mentioned a lot, but, to be honest, I'm a bit over saturated 🤣
