Scammers are getting lazy 😂

• Upvotes

On Sunday morning around 7 AM, I got a call from someone claiming they had mistakenly sent K170,000 to my Airtel Money number and wanted me to send it back. I told him I hadn’t received any message, cut the call, and went back to sleep.

About 2 minutes later, I received an SMS saying I had received K170,000, complete with a transaction reference number, looking just like a normal Airtel Money message sent from the same number.

The funny part? 😂 The number they mistakenly sent money isn’t even registered for Airtel Money...

Within seconds, the guy called again asking to check if I had received the money. I got annoyed and told him, “This number isn’t even registered for Airtel Money. How are you sending money to it?” Then I cut the call and went back to sleep.

Today, and the same guy calls again with the exact same story. 😭😂

Don’t these guys keep records or something? They are getting lazy lol.. Do people actually fall for this type of scam??

Advice on cassava farming

I am someone who just recently ventured into small-scale farming. This year i planned to make a quick buck through cassava farming but the location and the prices within that region dissuaded me into materializing this idea. My question now is: What other crops gives similar profit margin to cassava farming?

culture Left Hand

Imagine a young boy growing up in a village. He naturally uses his left hand to write, eat, and do things. But the elders tell him to use his right hand because, in their community, the right hand is considered respectful, while the left hand is sometimes associated with unclean tasks.

The boy grows up wondering why his left hand is treated differently when it belongs to him just as much as his right

discussion Malawian Address

What documents do you guys use with your address on them. Like when signing up to platforms that require your address and an uploaded document to prove it. The platforms usually ask for docs like a utility bill with your name and address on it, but the issue with me, is that the place I live, the utility bills are labelled under the owner not me.

I've been struggling signing up for the online AI training platforms..and I hear for a google play console account I'll need the same kind of document. So am looking for legitimate Malawian documents that you can get, and they note your current residential address.

Puzzled

Aah how are y'all managing? Fuel ikusowa, the high cost of living and all that.

I am sort of mutating. Becoming more of a loner. I do stay with family which is a plus hey. Never been much of a religious person as in going kukachonga register kuchalichi every Sunday so yeah don't have much of a social life and all.

Before I would have spurts of going out here and there but that seems slightly harder now.

Help a female out. Olo DM ingathandize.

discussion Family dynamics and assault cases

• Upvotes

Idk if I should label this as nsfw and add a trigger warning for sexual assault.....but has anyone here also been sexually assaulted by a close family member? As for me, my uncle took advantage of me when I was a teen. He didn't rape me but he forced himself on me to do nasty stuff. I never told anyone but my closest friends. I was incredibly depressed. I can't say I move on but I think about it less. I wanted to harm him because of the mental turmoil he caused but I have a lot to lose lol. One of the reasons I never reported him was because no one would believe me and it'd tear my family apart and I didn't want to bear that weight on top of being depressed from the whole ordeal

Delusional

I love how imaginative my mind is frankly its why I have excelled in school with so much ease hitting a bulls eye flexing . Let's just say I would piss you off if I was a fellow class mate less work never really in class and never really known inside a supplementary or repeat stress ever. I am simply weird and above average i have been told countlessly .its a gift you may think

BUT NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

But naaah let me tell you how its also ducking my life, as much as it gets me over excited my studies it gets me over interested in an individual too. Disecting every word , checking the probabilities , overstipulating and yeessss indulging in my ediacy. That's, me shamelessly over thinking analyzing reinitiating every step he makes and you might think I might learn move on nope it won't let me . Your thinking this is simply a day or week long scenario am talking years to a decade of a mind in a spiral of obsession of what if here towards one person.

Simply how do you guys get the over thinking to stop or better yet how do you get over someone that was never yours in the first place. Madness I know hence I am a tad bit delusional

Did Libya sacrificed wealth in exchange for basic needs which they never needed

  1. Is it facts to say that, Libyan people sacrificed free housing, cheap fuel, Gold reserves, free education, and wealth because of USA and French propaganda because they were lacking basic needs which were having an opinion and freedom of speech? But why? 🤔

  2. The rebels were did they take the massive weapons

  3. Why was NATO involved and why were air striking infrastructure and development structures? Is it fair to say USA is never happy to see African countries wealthy?

personal Alcohol addiction

I have been struggling with alcohol addiction, last year i went to see a psychiatrist and i was told i have severe alcohol use disorder and was refered to some well known psychotherapist but i could not afford to go for treatment. I have tried abstaining but i always get back but so far this year i can say i would drink once a month but its usually a bender. While looking for help online i came across a drug called naltrexone. Has anyone come across it in this country and also any general tips on how i can get better

Better to cry in a Mercedes than on a bike.

It's a great quote on compromise, whoever coined it has traits of a genius.

But somehow that quote is also responsible for a lot of futures which have been destroyed. So far females have been the victims.

Why has society normalised telling females that it's okay to suffer in a relationship as long as money is involved?

For the life of me, i will never get it! While growing up, girls my age were told & they are still told to look for older men because they are the ones who can manage to take care of their financial needs and wants. And sad enough, the girls end up getting abandoned with diseases or pregnancies.

Game is rigged.

Just last week there were concerns over how Malawians were bullying Miss Teen Universe contestants and days before people were bullying a dead woman because they believe that she promoted everything LGBTQ - I won't even get into this.

This week, the KC Current page announced a player's engagement. Malawians flocked to the page just to curse in their mother tongue. Commenting on the post is now restricted.

It just got me thinking how what people do with their private parts gets others so angry and how they feel the need to spew insults like savages. I don't know whether its because of a lack of exposure but Malawians need to learn social media etiquette and accept that the world out there is very different. Yes we can't all accept same sex relationships but if you don't have anything nice to say, scroll along.

And worst of all, people don't realise that chances are very high that the Chawinga Sisters aren't even straight. People will lose their minds when they find out some day.

What really delays passport printing

I'm yet to understand what really makes it that passport printing should be taking forever, is the printing so sophisticated or its just corruption? How many people want their passport to an extent that they fail to print

I met the girl i lost my virginity to some years back. She did not even look at me, she just passed me as if I do not exist. I feel cheap, it is like she just used me for sex then dumped me.

Why are people this mean? She was the one always pestering me to go to the rest-house. it's not fair.
