New night club
Has anyone tried the newer night club, is it better than soho?

Due to the increased volume of comments threatening others and generally urging others to be violent, the mod team will no longer give leeway on these comments. The comment will be removed and the user will be permanently banned. This has no bearing on any political party affiliations. I hate to be the one to tell people what to say, but this has gotten out of hand.
Thank you,
ManchesterNH Mod Team

So I see a lot of "I plan of moving here. Need advice" posts in /r/newhampshire so I thought of doing a basic guide for Manchvegas.
If I'm forgetting anything, please feel free to add.
I've lived in Manchester for years. And it's not that bad.
There's a lot of things to do. Restaurants, museums, parks, trails, bars, pools, a ski place, colleges, a mall, playgrounds, etc. It's gotten a lot better.
A rundown of (most) of Manchester's areas:
Westside:
mostly Suburban area. Got some parks/trails. Close to Goffstown/Hooksett/Bedford. Manchester community college is here.
Millyard:
one of the things we're known for. A lot of businesses and UNH is there as well. NH's most well-known TV station WMUR is located here. Close to Elm street. The SNHU arena and Baseball stadium are close as well.
Elm Street:
Manchester's Main Street. Most of the city life is here. Bars, restaurants, City hall, Palace theater, and the City Library are here (there is one on the Westside but it's smaller. )
Tree Streets:
Manchester has an unwritten rule. If you plan on moving here, avoid the "Tree streets." Avoid the areas at or around streets that are associated with trees (Maple, Pine, etc). These areas are the more sketchy areas. It's not gonna be as bad as Boston, but there is crime around those parts so be careful
Edit: some areas near the tree streets aren't too bad. here's a site on the current crime: https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/nh/manchester/crime
South Willow Street:
Another of Manchester's well-known streets. The Mall and Airport are nearby. Tons of stores/restaurants are around here.
Second Street:
If you want food and are short on cash, this is the area. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are nearby as well. Nearby is Merrimack and Bedford.
Mammoth Road :
Suburban area. Elliot hospital and the ski area are closeby
Industrial Park Drive:
Self Explainatory.
Other things to know:
The only public transportation is the bus system. A car/bike is recommended to get around.
There is a homeless problem. There are food banks and other resources in the city. Not sure on the current status.
It can be a bit pricey to live. Especially the millyard. It depends on the area and your budget.
It's close to other cities like Concord and Nashua. Its also about an hour from Hampton Beach
It's not as bad as it seems. It's a decent small city.

Hey Manchvegas,
I’m an independent artist working out of Manchester. I don’t run digital templates or plan out rigid setups—everything I do for this "Raw Art" collection is sketched freehand on the fly using real pen and ink before digitizing it for heavyweight streetwear.
With everyone pushing computer-generated and automated graphics right now, I wanted to lean entirely into raw, imperfect human hand-drawing.
Wanted to drop a recent sketch in front of the local community. How’s the energy and linework hitting you? Honest critique is always welcome . Amy criticism or advice is welcome will thanks for your love

Hi everyone! I’m relocating to the Manchester area. Coming from Florida, the rental housing stock up there is completely different from what I’m used to.
In your experience, do the older multi-family homes tend to have good wall/floor sound insulation, or does footstep/neighbor noise travel easily? (Would a top-floor unit in a triplex be quiet enough?)
Are there specific newer management companies or apartment communities in or around Manchester (including Hooksett, Merrimack, Bedford, or 03104) known for thick walls, quiet surroundings, and good construction quality?
In a Florida apartment, you can hear your neighbor sneeze, so I usually avoid those places, but the other options up north seem to be older multi-family homes. I live in a townhome in Florida, am used to the quiet and privacy, and want to keep that. I understand I’ll hear people outside, but I’d prefer not to hear my neighbors talking or their TV through the walls!

It’s turning into a radio show on WBNH 105.1!
I was lucky enough to be offered the chance to host a weekly show featuring indie bands from around New England. We’ll be playing alternative rock across the spectrum, from pop punk and punk to shoegaze, grunge, emo, and everything in between.
The show will air Saturday nights at 8, with a tentative first show date of November 7, 2026.
If you’re in a New England band and have music you’d like me to consider, send me a DM! I’m putting together a submission form and would love to hear what local bands are making.
Here's my current Spotify playlist, if your a band and see your song I want to play it on the radio. Reach out, need your permission!

Hi all! I'm 24, NB, new to Manchester, and as the above says, I've been having some trouble finding LGBTQ spaces here. I know about breezeway and board and brews seems like a chill place, but if anyone has any recommendations for spaces or events, that would be lovely! Thank you to the Manchester dears 💋

Anyone else notice how much legitimately good original alternative, pop punk, and indie rock music is coming out of Southern NH and Boston area?
I've got about a dozen local bands I listen to regularly on Spotify now, and some of them are seriously good. The shows around town are usually pretty cheap too.
Seems like there's a lot of great original music coming out of the area again after what felt like a bit of a lull.
Anyone else listening to the local scene? Any recommendations?
Edit: Here's the playlist I started. I'll definitely be checking out all these bands and adding to it.

I’m new to the area and my husband and I just went to Burt’s Better Beers. They are a beer store and also have a little bar area. It’s super cute and such a chill vibe, good prices, great selection. Would anyone be interested in doing a weekly Dungeons and Dragons there? Or any sort of tabletop game? We want to make some friends in the area and think it would be a cool place to meet up with people.

Got this in my mountain of flyers, and, while I have always known it was legal to lie about political opponents, it’s kind of refreshing that they are printing that out on their propaganda (check out the upper right corner).
If your guy is better, tell me why. If my guy is bad, show me how. Why are we constantly inundated with, not just twisting of truths, but full-on invented scenarios? Why is it illegal for Burger King to lie about a food item but it’s legal for someone to lie about an actual person?
Every 2 years, we are expected to sift through an unending avalanche of information that might be fully bullshit. Can we get it to stop? Please? I’m just so tired.

Manchester, NH I think it’s time we have a conversation about The GOAT Bar & Grill and the Fleury Group.
I’ve been informed that The GOAT in Manchester is reportedly being rented out by Turning Point USA on Halloween.
Turning Point USA is a prominent conservative political organization, and I believe customers deserve to know about events like this when deciding which local businesses to support.
To me, this raises serious questions about the Fleury Group’s priorities. Is this simply about collecting a rental fee, or does it reflect the political values of the people running the business?
The Fleury Group should be transparent about where it stands.
You can run your business however you choose. But the people of Manchester also have every right to ask questions, express their opinions, and decide where they spend their hard-earned money.
And I think that’s a conversation worth having.

Anyone else come across bobcats around the area? I saw one a couple of weeks ago walking around Dorr pond and again just this afternoon at Stark Park. Luckily, my dog was on leash the first time, and I was able to get him on leash the second time. I have an adult lab, so he could probably hold his own, but he would probably get tore up pretty bad. I can't say with 100% certainty it was a bobcat, but quite sure. It looked to be about 25-30lbs, but I don't know how thick their fur is, so that could be off. Looked about half the size of my 75lb lab.
If you have a smaller dog and walk them in the area, be cautious.

Support local businesses. Not an ad, no payment to endorse. They’re pretty new, just at tired for the first time.
Standard burrito price is cheaper than C/Q
Standard burrito is better than C/Q
Chips are thicker and crunchier than C/Q
Salsa is more flavorful than C/Q
Queso is more flavorful than C/Q
We don’t need another restaurant to fail. Seriously, if get Chipotle or Qdoba in this area, get Jorge’s instead
Edit: Dang, y’all are super inflexible. Just trying to support the community rather than a company making >3B in profit annually. I tried, this is why big business flourishes 🤷♀️

I know, another moving question post - I did my due diligence in searching this group and am finding some conflicting information, so I figured I'd ask the locals. I spent this past weekend all around the area (stayed in Manchester, visited Dover/Portsmouth/Nashua areas taking local roads and highways).
My dude and I are interested in the Manchester area. We are looking to rent and would prefer to not live directly in the city (we are suburb people). We are in our mid 50s, no kids to be concerned about, and both work from home. He is not particularly social - I very much am & enjoyed all the amenities that Manchester has to offer - shopping/restaurants/live music.
Seems easy, right? Not so much. I use a wheelchair so I need the apartment to have access to enter without issue. We are looking to keep rent no more than $3000/month (preferably less). We are very open to towns outside of Manchester but within a 30 minute drive at most. Nashua is not an option due to some geographical restrictions that he has for work from home status. We also have 2 housecats.
Any recommendations or suggestions are greatly appreciated. When I was out and around, people mentioned Auburn, Candia, Derry, Epping, Merrimack, Bedford, Goffstown, Amherst & Hooksett. Manchester city limits are ok if the property is set back a bit.
Thanks, and hope to be a neighbor soon!
