Apologies if satire is not allowed here, please don't ban me. I just thought this would make a few people laugh.
And if you're wondering, yes, that is the only picture for the post.

Hello! The context in which these were found ( a jar in a very old farmhouse, dirty, amongst small pieces of pottery) would make me think these are marbles found in the field. But my sister says that they are just something purchased at a craft store to go in a vase. Please, help me settle this debate if you possibly can!

I thought you guys might find this family heirloom interesting or could tell me more about it. It was made for my great, great, great grandfather and contains his name (censored out surname).
No clue where or exactly when it was made, but it's certainly well over 100 years old. My family is German and immigrated to the US around 100-120yr ago, but this was most likely made in the US Midwest.
Anyone see anything like this? Custom made large paperweight type marbles with a name written in glass.
Considering the design looks a lot like birthday candles, I would presume this was a birthday gift, as my G G Great Grandpa was into marbles.
I actually inherited his marble collection, and there were some cool HTF Peltiers and Akros in there.

Came across this bag cleaning out grandparent’s cabin a few decades ago. What are they? Thanks in advance.

Hello! I'm the solo developer behind Dark Roll 2 - a marble platformer heavily inspired by soulslike games! It features high difficulty (with easier mode for those who prefer relaxed gameplay), boss fights, and timed leaderboards that allow racing against ghost replays of other players.
The demo is already available on Steam, and the full release is planned for february.

Please let me know what's your first impression! I'd love to know your opinion, given the nature of this subreddit.

Normally, whenever I see a bag of modern cat's eyes at an antique store, I don’t even give it a second glance. This weekend, I decided to check anyway—and I'm really glad I did.
Tucked inside a few cheap $5 bags mixed in with basic cat's eyes and clear glass, I managed to pull out surprisingly solid vintage pieces:
2 Peltier Multi-Color Swirls (MCR)
2 Master Sunbursts
1 Akro Special Corkscrew
3 Vitro UV Reactive Conquerors
1 Vitro 4-Color Hybrid Cat’s Eye
2 Potential Wire Pulls (still double-checking the ID on these)
I’m a little too excited about this weekend’s haul, so please tell me in the comments that they’re all modern Jabos so I can return to Earth.

I don’t know much to start, but I’m wondering if anything sticks out to the community’s trained eye. I bought this cool “gumball” nut dispenser filled with marbles from an old mans garage sale who said his old man used to collect a ton of vintage items. He passed away recently and his mom moved but couldn’t take a bunch of the collection. So she told her son to make some money from it. Got it for $40.

Most of these came with a single jar I bought for $50 but I had a few others laying around. Also shown under 395nm and 365nm UV.

I dug these up in two different locations. One in my yard the cobalt iridescent up the street in a late 19th century home’s yard. Thought I would see what y’all thought, are they worth anything?

Is there anything valuable about hand blown/rolled marbles and I maybe shouldn't put them in there?
These are from my childhood so I have NO idea where most of them came from. Some were straight from artists at the Saturday Market 20+ years ago.

These have an iridescent shine that isn't caught on camera. I also notice the prices on ebay are all over the place. I was given a bunch of marbles as a kid and am now curious on whether they were as special as I was told, haha. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

It has a very Akro like brush seam. Is it possibly a white on clear auger?
Did Akro even use such immaculately clear base glass? The white is also extremely vibrant. Also a bit of an odd size at 1.7cm. Throws me off.
