Restoring a 1982 Original Golden 39M
When I was a young kid, I was gifted my first rifle. At that point to me it was just a neat little 22lr lever action that my gramps had engraved the stock for me. Now years later looking at it and doing some research I figure out its an all original 1982 39M (minus the engravings) and I really want to restore this gun to its old glory. Most of it is just serious cleaning, getting it re-blued and a new firing pin which isn't too hard, but I'm having a really hard time finding a stock. Does anybody have an idea where I could find one? Ideally pre-finished but if not I can finish it myself. I love this gun and I want to make it right as rain so I can pass it down some day.
