Help I can't stop playing! (And I need some tips)
Hey everyone! After a long time, I'm finally giving Andromeda the chance it deserves. It's been over a decade since I played the original trilogy, and just a few days ago I finished the glorious Dragon Age: Origins (also for the first time in about a decade). I've been interested in this game for ages, but I could never find a spot for it in my backlog. Until now...
I can't stop playing! I think about it day and night, which is pretty unusual for me. It hasn't happened since... I don't know, maybe God of War or Wolfenstein.
Anyway, despite all that, I'm still feeling a little lost in the universe as a whole, so I'd really appreciate some tips on the following:
- Should I constantly be keeping an eye on my squad? During combat, I often lose track of them, and sometimes I have no idea where they even are. I mostly just worry about giving them shields and stuff like that. Is there a better way to manage them and be a proper squad leader, or should I just let them do their own thing?
- I'm 12 hours in, still on the first planet, and I'm STRUGGLING to follow the story. Do I need to rely on the Codex to understand what's going on, or will things gradually become clearer as I play? I just did Peebee's recruitment mission to get her aboard the Tempest, and I didn't understand what the hell happened in that underground area. Should I be worried?
- Sometimes the dialogue aboard the Tempest doesn't seem to match what's happening. For example, characters mention squadmates who aren't even part of my crew yet, as if there's some kind of continuity issue. Is this normal? Is there a way to fix it? I'm afraid to talk to people aboard the Tempest in case I accidentally trigger dialogue that doesn't belong at this point in the story.
- Any general tips for enjoying the game at my own pace and making sense of everything that's going on would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!
