I needle-felted a tiny snowman for Christmas — meet Sir Snowbell!
Meet Sir Snowbell ⛄❤️ — a tiny snowman made with love!
A little white wool, a bright red scarf, a tiny hat, and a whole lot of Christmas spirit! 🎄
This little fellow is handmade from wool using needle-felting techniques. Every detail is carefully shaped by hand, making each piece a little different and full of character.
I'm getting ready for Christmas in my little handmade studio, and I love watching simple wool fibers turn into tiny winter friends.
What would you name this little snowman? Would you keep his classic red scarf, or give him a different color? ❤️
Made with love by ilovefelt.

original content Tarantula hair pin
I made a Mexican Red Knee Tarantula hair pin to wear for Halloween. I used to make beaded spiders, but figured I'd try out a needle felt. I LOVE how she came out, absolutely beautiful

question Hypoallergenic wool alternatives?
Started needle felting a while back, had to stop after discovering I was having an allergic reaction to the wool.
I assume it was sheep wool. It was a cheap amazon kit for little animals.
thing is, I really liked it and made some realistic small animals before having to stop.
I love the look of needle felted crafts and creatures and felt items that are painted or felted onto for unique designs. I’m scared to buy anything felt or wool though because of the possible hives.
Obviously, plastic would probably be the least likely to cause a reaction, but the biggest fan of that idea, since a bunch of acrylic fibers seems like a pain (if not hazardous).
Anyone have experience with such allergies or have a recommendation of a good source of hypoallergenic felt?

original content Please help
Trying to make this Iris since it's my mother's favorite flower and she passed away earlier this year. Ive tried to do some shading and things but I honestly don't know how to add more details or make it look better. This is only my second flat felt and i am not a painter or classical artist at all so I'm finding it difficult with such a complicated object.
Also I know the background is a bit patchy, I will touch that up once I get the flower more finished

original content My first two felts
I watched a ton of youtube videos while my kit with core wool, tops and tools was shipping here. I highly recommend a snowman as a first project, very forgiving with the potential to accessorize.

Surprised Patrick
As the title says. He's a chunky boy and weighs in at 185 g/6.5oz and is 19.5cm/7 1/2in tall. He got bigger than expected... turns out, if you felt sth that's basically a hole, aka his mouth, it gets bigger instead of smaller... 🤷

I needle-felted memorial portraits of Huxley and Charlie from a photo of them together
Huxley and Charlie were two much-loved dogs who both passed away this year. Their family asked me to make these needle-felted portraits as a way to remember them.
I worked from a photo of them together, paying close attention to Huxley’s bright, open-mouthed expression and Charlie’s soft, steady gaze. I wanted each portrait to hold on to the little details that made them recognisably themselves.
It was an honour to make something so personal. Rest easy, Huxley and Charlie. 🤍

First time and I’m addicted
I picked this kit up to see if I liked it and it was so much fun! The instructions were terrible but I pursued. I’m super happy how it turned out.

Sugar the Snow girl
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Just finished this Snowman/woman. I want to do a whole collection of sugar inspired snow people. She is my first completed idea. I added magnets in her mitten and accessories. I'm so happy they actually worked!
I think a cupcake snowman will be my next character. Not sure I'll be able to do it before my event on Nov 7th though. I always forget how time consuming each piece is until im actively trying to create multiple things for an event 😅😂🤦♀️

question Beginner help
Hiii hope you are all well!
I've loved needle felting for a while now and have bought some bits here and there off of others but never tried it myself.
I saw this kit and wanted to give it a try, it says beginner friendly however the seller seems to be using ai in their pictures at least for the background. That mixed with whatever is going on in the front view picture made me want to ask here if this looks genuine or not.
I know you can get amazing results with needle felting and also know that I'm probably not going to be fantastic on my first try but seems futile to start with a kit if it's glorified with ai.
Really appreciate any and all help, thank you so much <3

Ashton Fill Chamberpot
Tonight, I #needlefelted an #oc project. He is called Ashton Filled #Chamberpot a #rudeboy Chamber pot that isn't friendly with younger teens. This character was inspired by a Classmate of mine who wasn't nice and made fun of me in high school, and I was in the classroom with one of the worst teachers in that school. But she moved years ago. Making these still help with my #mentalhealth struggles, especially when winter approaches. These creations just give me a laugh and get over these traumas

Rosy Maple Moth
My largest needlefelting project so far! I used wax wire to shape the wings and they held up surprisingly well! Though I had to extend the top wings a bit because I made the bottoms too small. 🤣

question How do I finish the face?!
I’ve made a doll, but no matter what I do, the face looks like a man’s face and I’m scared putting eyes/lips will look really stupid. Any advice?
