Other | دیگر Just wanted to say that I really appreciate this subreddit for its continued moral clarity on the issues posed by Islam in both the East and the West.
This seems to be one of the few subreddits where you can still actually discuss all the current issues surrounding Islamist movements in the West and elsewhere, problems with Muslim immigration and assimilation, and so on, without threats of censorship or accusations of being paid by Zionists. r/atheism is just a total dumpster fire at this point, never talks about anything beyond North American Christian conservatives, Donald Trump, Israel, Zionism, yada yada yada. Even r/exmuslim censors any topics on Muslim immigration and assimilation in Western societies.
This is one of the few places that still gets it, in terms of the dangers posed by Islamist politics worldwide, maybe a product of own experiences with it in Iran. I hope that I can continue contributing in this space, as it's refreshing to find a like-minded community on this site for once.

Culture | فرهنگ Just out of curiosity, are you familiar with these 2 stop-motion characters?
Pat and Mat are 2 Czechoslovakian characters from a hilarious child programme. They’re 2 clumsy DIY handymen who in every episode try to work something out and they usually only make everything worse. But they don’t give up and they either solve something with some batshit crazy solution that either works or makes things even worse. Depending on the writers.
I fairly recently found out that they are actually popular in Iran because they don’t talk. Are you familiar with them?

Discussion | گفتگو Flour shortages in Iran fuel skyrocketing bread prices and shutdown of bakeries
"Our bakery is closed because we have no flour, and nobody is taking responsibility,” a independent baker told Iran International.
The shortages have coincided with declining purchasing power, leaving bakeries struggling to secure supplies as customers struggle to afford bread.
“They don't have flour to give us, and I swear to God, people don't have money to buy bread either. Our economic situation has become critical,” another baker said.

Discussion | گفتگو Anyone else worried/confused about Israeli elections tomorrow? Like which candidate has the intentions/ would be the best for the possibility of full regime change in Iran?
Anyone else worried/confused about Israeli elections tomorrow? I assume besides Israeli‘s themselves nobody knows which next potential prime minister (leader) is genuinely the better option when it comes to taking down the Iranian regime PERMANENTLY. Like which candidate is more likely to give Trump the middle finger and take down the regime themselves? Ukraine and Zelenskyy realized they can’t rely on US (Trump). So they continue to fight against Russia without US’s help, even doh Trump clearly is on Russia’s side and would love to prevent Ukraine from attacking Russia. When will Israel do the same?

Iranian Discussion | گفتگوی ایرانی What’s the deal with Masih Alinejad- i can’t figure her out.
What do Iranians think about her? On one hand she is against the regime but she is not really creating any unity- tell me what you know and think of her. Please say if you are in diaspora or in Iran- if its safe to do so.

News | خبر Israeli PM hopeful rejects military pursuit of regime change in Iran
”In a television interview, Eisenkot said the proper military objectives were destroying Iran's nuclear and missile programs and its regional proxy forces.”
I guess that means that if he does resume striking, he won’t be hitting regime officials.

Discussion | گفتگو War General Discussion Megathread (Day 242)
Hello to all Iranians and friends,
Due to the high volume of rapid updates and back-to-back threads, we ask that posts that do not contain a new or significant development be directed to this megathread. This includes general discussion, speculation, reactions, opinions, broader commentary, questions, jokes, memes, and general messages of support.
Standalone posts should primarily be reserved for current events and newly released information, such as breaking news, new videos or footage, official statements, confirmed updates, or other meaningful developments. Legitimate news and newly released footage are still allowed and encouraged as standalone submissions.
Minor updates, repeated information, personal commentary, or posts that do not report a new development may be redirected to the megathread or removed. Depending on activity levels, broader consolidation into the megathread may become mandatory.
This approach helps reduce clutter, limit misinformation, and keep the subreddit organized during a fast-moving situation.
Please remain civil, avoid spreading unverified claims, and continue to follow all subreddit rules.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Discussion | گفتگو Do you support reparations to Iranians after Shah's return from countires that supported and benefitted from the IRCG for the past 50 years?

Discussion | گفتگو Do you support reparations to severely damaged nations after the regime falls?
I do not mean the gulf states or isreal I am speaking about places like Syria but particularly Lebanon and Yemen have unfortunately been damaged very badly by Iran.
I do not think they should be immediate but at some point within a few years of regime collapse I think Iran owes the nations where it's worst offenses were committed.
