Discussion Looking for suggestions for a better handheld controller for Switch 2

Post image
12 Upvotes

May recommended ergonomic controller ba kayo for Switch 2?

Grabe ang pag-cramp ng right hand ko kapag naglalaro ng Silksong.

Umaabot sa point na di ko napipindot minsan ang B button.

Prefer ko kasi mag handheld kaya naghahanap ako ng replacement sa original controller.

Planning to get this Hyperion 3. Pero baka may mas better recommendation kayo.

Discussion With Zelda and GTA's upcoming releases: do you prefer to play AAA console games on a monitor or a TV?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I just got an AOC 27" 1440p 360Hz miniLED IPS with 1152 dimming zones, which on paper, better than my current 55" TCL C755 TV with less dimming zones and VA panel. Both support HDMI 2.1 and the full capabilities of the latest consoles, though I know consoles cap at 120Hz. I am satisfied with both the HDR output of both displays and haven't really compared them side by side (the AOC is probably better), but they should look great for both games.

I currently have my consoles connected to the TV, with only my PC connected to the monitor. But I am thinking whether to play Ocarina of Time for the first time ever on the smaller but on a closer view and potentially better image quality (especially with my degrading eyesight) or if it will still be more immersive on a 55" screen to provide that cinematic gaming experience (though I know for couch gaming, 65" is now the more popular option for hardcore gaming).

Plus on my TV, I have a surround setup with a Samsung 5.1.2 soundbar with additional rear speakers. But on my monitor, I do have an Edifier MR5 which sounds great especially since it's closer to my ears.

  • For single-player AAA games, what matters more to you: image quality or screen size?
  • If you had both of these setups, which would you choose for Zelda? What about GTA?
  • Is surround sound a significant requirement for you on immersive gameplay?

Discussion Switch 2 Speakers/Audio Quality

Hi, first time console and Switch 2 owner here. Question lang, kasi I don't know what to expect. But ganito ba talaga speakers nya? Like medyo underwhelming? Medyo nasanay kasi ako sa speakers ng iPhone (and Mac, I know different devices but same kasi ng audio quality). Parang medyo mahina yung full volume tas parang hindi buo, di ako sure pano i-explain.

Baka mag-earbuds nalang siguro.

Technical question Help. How do I removed a stripped screw?

*remove

Trying to repair the rails on my switch but I can't open the back panel because of a stripped 3pt (Y00/Y.06) screw. (First pic)

Tried things like different screwdriver types + sizes, using rubber bands, etc. - nothing.

As a last resort I drilled it instead. It seems I've grinded parts of the screw head off while drilling (I first used a the smallest drill then 1 size larger)

There's still a hole in it. (Second pic)

What to do? Do I keep drilling? Use another tool? Or Am I "screwed"?

TIA

Discussion Hi, I'm new here. I am planning to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 on Game Xtreme sa Lazada, my worry is that I read somewhere that when they bought theirs online it looks like it's not brand new (the box looks old or something). Has anyone got their Switch 2 on Game Xtreme online store? How's the quality a

Discussion New SW2 Owner here! What're the best joystick covers you folks can recommend from Lazada/Shoppee/Datablitz?

Post image

I was considering getting these ones from Dbrand, however the shipping fees for this thing nearly doubles the price I'm actually paying for just thumbstick covers...

Wanted to know if there's an alternative option that offers the same sleek design and amount of comfortability around the same base-price or maybe even lower?

Review The kickstand scratches/scrapes easily btw

Post image

Bought my Switch 2 last year, and although i've barely used it, it sucks knowing that the paint on the metal kickstand scratches off easily, even when you’re careful about laying it flat on a table or something. Nakaka OCD lang ng malala. Wish i bought a case as soon as i purchased it last yr. Hopefully a replacement kickstand comes out soon.

Avid fan of Final Fantasy, making it a point to get the Collector’s Editions if possible. Wasn’t able to snag a preorder slot for Resonance but the fiancĂ©e surprised me with this!!! 😍😍😍

Resonance holds a special place because the mobile version was a way to escape the stress of professional school. Can’t wait to start playing later!

Discussion OoT foil cover isn’t available in PH, worth importing?

Post image
8 Upvotes

Don’t get me wrong, stocks here are abundant. Console, Pro Controller, the OoT remake itself, all easy to find. But our country really is behind on this one, none of our local copies have the textured foil cover. So if you want it you have to order abroad, which just adds up, around $10 to $30 (₱630 to ₱1,900) depending on the shop, whether its from Amazon or not, vouchers, promos, etc.

I understand worth is subjective. What I mean by worth it is will it mature enough in 5 to 10 years to cost like 3000% of what it is now? Like those games bought for $50 to $70 (₱3,200 to ₱4,400) back then that go for $2,500 (around ₱158k) now. The gold OoT cart from ‘98 was hyped as a collector thing too and its pretty common today, so idk.

If I do import, who do you trust for it? I know Noli Jethro, PlayGiant and Beyond The Arc, open to others you’ve actually ordered from as long as they can confirm its the foil copy.

I missed the N64 ngl. But the hype with Ocarina seems justified, it feels like a mix of Dragon Quest XI, which I love with all my heart, but with more freedom than the take turns hitting each other kind of thing.

So what are your thoughts? Just want to hear everyone’s opinion and whatever’s on top of your head, honestly curious.
