Skateboarding gives me an outlet and a sense of freedom on the days I need it most.
When I’m skating, I don’t think about anything else. It’s helped me find confidence, community, and a part of myself I can always come back to.

My 9 still flips just fine

So havent posted here for a little bit but have been posting on my instagram.

For one reason or another I hadnt touched the board for a week or so, This week I thought I better continue or I will end up quiting. First 10 minutes board seemed slidey and it just wasnt happening. Was about to give up and thought as pushes didnt seem fluid I would try one push and get the back foot on and glide.

It sort of worked but I do need more space and potentially the darth vader noises

Had the park to myself to just challenge myself. That marble ledge was pretty tall and I finally hit a kicker to kicker. I know nothing huge but I never did it. I'm just trying to push myself while body will allow it. Hope yall fall is going well

Work/life balance sometimes like that

Fear of slamming this old-ass body into the concrete is holding me back. I've been there, and done it so many times, that I have injuries that linger from the 80s.

it was bad enough to slam hard when I was in my 20s, at this age? Maaaaan... I'm still nursing a shoulder injury from snowboarding LAST FEBRUARY.

I love skating, I do, but there's a reason I give my head a shake every time I think about sliding a stair rail.

Reality, and experience and, yes, fear, are keeping me where I am in my skating "progression". I guess this is who I am now.

Advice to Progress

So the collection is growing and we're doing some redecorating. We have a downstairs bathroom where we're going for a not-very-serious-classy/goth/cosy vibe. Thinking of adding some wooden board holders stained dark or something to that effect. What are you guys doing? I've seen some cool DIY options, and I'm just looking for fun ideas, but also want it to be easy to grab a board and go.

Patine 6.5 años aproximadamente y luego deje de patinar por estudios.
