Looking to build my repertoire of old time jams. Are there any resources that have old time songs & their chord progressions?

Singing Saw live in Berlin 2026. Nostalgican play Moon of Alabama. This band features Michael Quattlebaum on Singing Saw and specialises in old time music. Michael is now based in New Orleans. See him playing in the French Quarter!

Lovely tunes with my pal

Hello my mangs and my mangys, here's my channel if y'all wanna check it out. I post songs and some tutorials, more to come. Thanks lots ! :) 🪕

Super simple, one of the first songs I learned on guitar about 4 months ago

Hey Folks, we're a stringband from northern California called the Oldgrass Bluetime Band. Here's some Ruben's Train from the RR tracks up in the middle of nowhere.

Hey old-timers, I made a bubble map of old-time tunes recently. Thought it might be interesting for y'all. LMK if you have any feedback. https://ot-bubble-map.vercel.app/

I like browsing the animal tunes, for example. 🙂

As I'm getting more into old time/fiddle music, I have been keeping more of an eye out in the bins at record stores. What "hidden gem" artists/albums would you snag if you stumbled across them in the store?

Hi, I'm not sure I'm in the right place, but I need help finding a song. I'm like 85% sure I have it narrowed down to something by Eric Brace, but I still can't find the specific song. I heard it on public radio about a week ago and emailed the station. They sent me the playlist for that hour, but it's not any of the songs on the list. There's a chorus with lyrics along the lines of, "when we're born we're all kin, when we die we become kinfolk again." The song was a little haunting and beautiful and I just desperately want to listen to it again. Does this ring any bells for anyone?

Heres a little nicer version
