one of my favorite childhood memories was the morning of a field trip. it was always rainy or foggy with dewy grass, and something about it always got my adrenaline pumping. I remember always racing everyone else to secure a window seat on the school bus and did a painting inspired by that

made with acrylic on 16x20” canvas

Still deciding on a title. Alla prima, 12x16”, oil on linen panel.

“Something’s out there.”

WIP. First layer down on this one this morning. 11” oil on linen panel.

Many thanks to u/SheWolf_InYourCloset for the inspiration x

I posted this unfinished painting a few days ago, asking for some advice, and this subreddit pulled through! Things I changed:
- added more mid/highlights
- redid the rainy bottom sky and made it smoother
- lightened the background clouds for depth
- added the buildings

Still not named - but this one is 11x14” acrylic on canvas. May make another few small touch ups but it’s basically done. Thanks yall!!

This one was fun! Background was done with watercolor, the rest is gouache Holbein tube gouache 🙈 I allowed a lot of drying time between layers, that helped a lot to not muddy up my colors up too much. Also, I learned that titanium white rules 🤘

Some roads aren't meant to be straight. They twist, they bend, they hurt... but they take us where we're meant to be. And we finally find home, a place to rest after the long fight. Not a place, but within ourselves ✨🌿🌻
