Meta Affiliate Link Ban

Starting today, affiliate links are banned. Comments containing them will be automatically removed. The decision to allow them was made back when this was a tiny sub; we've since ballooned in size, there's been a noticeable uptick in users posting affiliate links (and in mass amounts, at that), and the rule was always on shaky ground due to both arbitrary enforcement (what dictates a "worthy" comment vs. a comment fishing for affiliate money?) and general principle.

If you've posted affiliate links in the past, you're not in trouble retroactively or otherwise. Comments containing affiliate links should, from now on, be automatically removed; no other action will be taken beyond automatic comment removal unless absolutely necessary.

Poland iPhone 15 Pro to S25 or S26?

• Upvotes

Hello,

I recently thought about going to Android since my friend got an S25 and I love it. I don’t know if I will switch from Apple, especially because I got the whole Apple products collection in Poland and idk if it’s worth it. I’ve got AirPods, an Apple Watch, iPad, iPhone and other stuff. I don’t know if I want to get the S25 or the S26 tho.

Can anyone help me please? Thank you

Germany Looking for a new smartphone under €200 – Samsung Galaxy A17 5G or Xiaomi Redmi?(in Germany)

Hi everyone!

I need some advice on choosing a new smartphone. I currently have a Google Pixel 7 which is around 3–4 years old. Unfortunately, it has water damagе... Replacing the screen would cost around €200, so I’m wondering whether it makes more sense to buy a new phone instead.

My budget is €200 maximum. The most important thing for me is a good camera, but battery life and overall performance are also important.

I’ve been looking at these three phones on OTTO:

  • Samsung Galaxy A17 5G / 128 GB
  • Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G (4/128 GB)
  • Xiaomi Redmi 17 (128 GB)

Since I’m currently using a Pixel 7, I’m worried that the camera quality on these budget phones might feel like a downgrade.

I’d really appreciate your opinions:

  • Which of these three phones would you recommend?
  • How good are their cameras in everyday use, especially in low light and when taking photos of people?
  • Is the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G worth paying extra for compared to the Xiaomi models?
  • Is there another brand-new smartphone under €200 that you would recommend instead?

I’d prefer a brand-new phone rather than a used or refurbished one. I’m also not really interested in Motorola.

Thanks in advance for your advice! 🙂

UK Need A New Phone

I currently have a refurbished Google Pixel 6 and I'm looking to upgrade. My main problems with it are the brightness and storage capacity. There are several times where I haven't been able to see my phone screen during the day while my partner's Huawei is perfectly bright so it's not just an every phone thing.

I don't care about camera quality and I despise folding phones. I need at least 256 GB storage and a battery that lasts the day. I use my phone a lot for reading and my current one has to charge at least once a day even if I charge it at night. I'm not looking to buy another refurbished phone so I don't need it to be the latest model. Just something that's reliable.

Edit: UK and US

India Need suggestion pls help

• Upvotes

I am looking for good FRONT n selfie camera phone in India. I wanna record some vlogs and self talk and stuff. Have good front video recording. My budget is 25k to 30k. I was considering vivo 60e, motorela 60 fusion, vivo t4 pro, or realme p4 pro. But vivo 60e not available anymore, its out of stock in online from ages and offline said they don't keep this model anymore. And there are too many negative reviews about motorela 60, they say the phone shuts off after one year and all data is lost and service centre is also not cooperative. And realme p4 pro, the review says camera quality decreases after update and phone has heating issue. So please help me decide a good one. I have been so confused and is not able to decide 😭😭

México Que me recomiendan hacer?

Camera or foldable

I really like the z fold 8, but I heard it’s cameras are a bit meh. I really like taking photos but since having a kid taking my camera out with me is not very realistic, so I ideally want a phone with a nice camera. I’m in between the zfold8 and the xiomi (or oppo). Please help me.

Austria Help me choose a new phone

I currently have a Poco X4 Pro that's 4 years old.

The storage is limited to 256GB and I am using an SD card. The battery doesn't even last a day anymore.

I am looking for an upgrade for up to €500 in Austria

My new one needs 512GB storage and a big (or long lasting due to low power draw) battery. I want to be able to use this new one for a few years as well.

I already bought a Poco X8 Pro on Prime Day but had to return it as it lost network all the time.

Now I am looking at Oukitel WP68 Air or OnePlus Nord 6.

Before buying the Poco X8 Pro I also looked at the Redmi Note 17 Pro, but am unsure if the same problem with network is present there.

The Honor X80 Pro Max seemed like a choice as well, but I want to take photos of my kids, the camera seems sub par for that

Any pointers?

Edited to add country

Edit 2: I dont need to buy now. I can wait for Singles day or Black Friday

¿Comprar OnePlus?

Which is the best premium-looking phone under 20K?

I've been looking for a new phone under 20K, and what I've noticed is that most phones look great online but in reality look cheap. A lot of people end up putting these phones in fancy cases anyway, so the design doesn't often matter. However, I was hoping to pick up a phone that looked great even without a cover.

The Moto G96 5G really surprised me. It has a vegan leather back that doesn't pick up fingerprints, a curved display and is really slim and light. It honestly looks and feels like a phone that costs much more. It also has IP68 water protection, which is nice at this price. It’s not the most powerful phone in this range, but if looks and feel matter to you, it’s a solid pick.

Which phone under ₹20K do you think looks the most premium right now?

US looking for a phone with good battery life and good camera

Hello! I'm making this post on behalf of my partner, who is looking for a new phone because their current one (a samsung galaxy from 5ish years ago) has horrible battery life and hs trouble charging. they also dislike how bloaty it is and are looking for something without a lot of bells and whistles. we are in the US.

their priorities are: good battery life, good camera, decent storage, and that they can find an otterbox-like case for it to keep dirt from getting in the ports (they're a gardener and this is an issue currently). they primarily use it for taking pictures, browsing instagram, messaging, and videocalls over snapchat. it has to be compatible with Mint Mobile.

they aren't looking for a flagship phone, just something that works. they also would prefer a small phone, but that is not as high a priority as the things listed above. we will probably buy a refurbished phone to save money, so cost isn't a big issue as long as it's fairly widely available and not too new.

thanks in advance! I love this subreddit and you all helped me decide on my current phone (a zenfone 10) which I love!
