Thought I'd share more Idaho. My 57 speedster,.... and my bride of 36 years.

This car was purchased by my Dad in the 1970s for $1500. The Dealer at the time forced my dad to take the extra soft top hoop. He later sold the part for more than he paid for the car. He did enjoy telling that story. Car has about a 30 year old restoration. Dad's maintenance slipped as he aged. It's in the shop now getting a mechanical restoration. Brakes were an issue coming down the mountain from this last cruise of the summer.

Had a 718 Boxster delivered to my local CarMax and they drilled into the bumper to secure a front license plate. Is this common?

Hello all, I was recently given this by a family member and I'm not too sure what its history, value or rarity is so was wondering if anyone could help out? I believe its missing the rear wing and a fin on the roof.

Is Porsche in trouble?

Not trying to start a fight here, but damn, they have been doing a ton of heavy advertising over the past couple months. It's everywhere. That's usually a sign that sales are down and shit needs to happen fast.

Seat Covers?

Hi, all!

My dad is looking at a 2018 Cayenne Turbo. He's a pretty large man, so we'd like to get some seat covers to help protect the seats. I'm looking for leather/leather like and hopefully under $400 since I also need to get floor mats (this is my Christmas present for my parents!). Thanks, all!

Decisions Decisions

A topic I fear is already beaten to death, but since it’s about me, it’s more important, right guys?

I have a very well sorted G87 M2. I really like it, but it’s always been a bit of a stepping stone for me. I have enough to splurge on something I’ve wanted since I was 10 years old and that’s a 911. I’m going to do it. I’ve already decided a 992.1/2 will be my next whip. I need a manual and have driven many 911s (and other exotic cars) so it’s not a topic I’m too unfamiliar with.

Option 1: I can buy a gently used T now. I’d honestly rather get a 992.1 with analog gauge (the 7 speed doesn’t bother me) and pay sub $150k rather than pay close to my other option, which is…

Option 2: Wait for a Carrera S MT.

My conflict resides in the fact that I’m not sure how long it’ll take to get an MT at MSRP or if it’s worth $30-50k more. Will the T feel underpowered compared to my M car? I know it will feel miles better overall, but will it excite me from a butt dyno standpoint? Will the base price increase soon too on the MT, based on Porches new business model? A lot of unknowns.

Anyways, I really don’t want to reignite similar topics but if anyone has a T or S coming from an G8X or has any strong thoughts or opinions, let me know!
