Hellraiser: Geometria Cordis (Spec Feature, Horror/Gothic Tragedy, 66 pages)
Hi everyone,
As a die-hard fan of Clive Barker’s original vision, I’ve always felt the franchise was robbed of its true cosmic potential by decades of cheap, cash-in sequels. I wanted to fix that.
I wrote a tight feature script that completely ignores everything after 1988 and serves as a direct, elevated, and deeply philosophical continuation of the first two films. It explores the idea of Hell not as a slasher playground, but as a cold, absolute Order where pain is an interface and human anatomy is a schematic.
Title: Hellraiser: Geometria Cordis
Genre: Intellectual Body Horror / Gothic Tragedy
Tone: The Silence of the Lambs meets Event Horizon with the baroque poetic soul of early Clive Barker.
(Note on Pacing: The script sits at 66 pages, but due to the highly descriptive world-building prose, atmosphere-heavy scenes, and non-linear visual sequences, the estimated running time plays out as a full 90-minute feature).
Logline:
Years after escaping the Labyrinth, a traumatized Kirsty Cotton reconstructs her shattered life by dissecting the "geometry of madness" in a sterile county morgue, while a grown-up Tiffany Lockwood deciphers the shifting language of reality through ancient geoglyphs. But when a techno-mystical cult in Brooklyn stabilizes a corrupted mechanical gateway, both women must unite to dismantle a biomechanical machine before Julia brutally overwrites reality itself.
What’s inside:
- Dr. Alan Richmond: A brilliant, cynical pathologist who views corpses as "the only honest patients."
- The Prophet: A newly forged cyber-Cenobite operating a flesh-fused CNC milling machine in a Brooklyn basement.
- Captain Elliot Spencer: Trapped in a melancholic, Art Deco purgatory—a tragic First World War officer fading into the blueprint of Pinhead.
- The Climax: A complete structural and philosophical subversion of Leviathan’s rules, where the cold box of torment transforms into the geometry of the human heart (Geometria Cordis).
The document also includes a brief thematic manifesto and a full synopsis on the first pages to set the tone before Scene 1.
I’m looking for honest feedback on pacing, dialogue, and atmospheric weight. I'd also love to swap scripts if anyone is interested!
