Dicussion Such a greedy, trash ass company.
Stop taking everything we love and slapping a $ on it. Definition of corporate greed. Hope this company crashes and burns in hell.

Rogers must have a dozen people working on nothing else, but how to get money out of people for absolutely nothing.
Here's another example of how they gouge their customers. Is it even legal to only accept payment with their credit card?

Seems like a pretty big blow to the card, although the cashback is still decent
I recently went on a 9 day trip to Curaçao and purchased the Rogers 14 day Caribbean Travel Pass for $70. I wanted to be able to use my data and make calls if needed.
During the trip, I made a few short calls to the front desks of the resorts I was staying at. I didnât think twice about it because the Rogers website clearly states:
âIf you've got a Canada-wide plan, then you won't be charged long-distance fees for calls made or received within your travel destination or to Canada. Long-distance charges only apply if you make or receive a call to a country outside of your travel destination.â
I was in Curaçao, calling local Curaçao numbers, so I had no reason to believe Iâd be charged extra.
Fast forward to today, and I receive my bill with an additional $40 in long-distance charges for calls allegedly made to Sri Lanka.
I have never called Sri Lanka in my life and have absolutely no reason to. I called Rogers to dispute the charges and even provided the names of the resorts so they could easily verify that the numbers belonged to hotels in Curaçao.
They denied my request and said I was responsible for the charges.
I escalated the issue, and their explanation was essentially that the calls could have been routed through Sri Lanka, meaning I was still responsible for paying.
Excuse me, what?
How am I supposed to know how a phone call is routed behind the scenes? As a customer, I relied on the information published on Rogersâ own website, which clearly states that calls made within my travel destination are not subject to long-distance charges. I was calling local numbers while physically in Curaçao. Why should I be expected to anticipate hidden charges based on how those calls might be routed?
In the end, Rogers offered me an $11 credit, leaving me to pay the remaining charges on top of the $70 I had already paid for the Travel Pass.
TL;DR: I paid $70 for a Caribbean Travel Pass, made a few short calls to local hotels in Curaçao, and was charged an extra $40 in long-distance fees for calls allegedly routed through Sri Lanka. Rogers refused to waive the charges, despite its own website stating that local calls within my travel destination would not incur long-distance fees. They offered me an $11 credit and called it a day.
Save yourself the headache and get an eSIM from another provider. If youâre using Rogers, Iâd seriously consider keeping roaming off and using an alternative for calls and data even if youâre enrolled in Roam Like Home. The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating, and the customer service has been disappointing, to say the least.

Did anyone who switched away from Rogers and signed up with Telus or anyone else for home internet and TV, is it better?
If I switched to Telus or elsewhere, do they take care of cancelling Rogers or do I do that?

Does anyone know what we can do about being charged internet for an old address we donât live at anymore? We have spent HOURS on hold, on the phone, with every single department and our local store and they WILL NOT CANCEL IT. Every agent assures us itâs cancelled and that theyâve made ânotesâ and we are literally just keep getting charged every month??

I finally understand how AI is going to end humanity. It wonât be killer robots. Itâll be Rogersâ customer support.
I just spent 15 mins trying to reach an actual human about roaming, and their new AI agent has taken my will to live. It doesnât understand the problem, loops back to the same useless suggestions, and thereâs apparently no path to a real person.
I genuinely canât fathom how nobody at Rogers has tried calling their own support line to see whether a customer can get anything resolved. Has a single executive tested this?
My theory: complaints are about to drop dramatically, and Rogers will call it a win. Not because problems are getting fixed, but because people are giving up.
Or maybe recruiters finally got bored of making job seekersâ lives a misery and went to work for Rogers support. Instead of using AI to auto-reject rĂ©sumĂ©s, theyâre now using it to make customersâ problems even worse.
Has anyone found a way to reach a human at Rogers? A magic phrase, a different number, a sacrifice to the router gods? Iâm out of ideas.

Has anyone ordered an iPhone Duo through their store on pre order and received it?
I pre-ordered 2 iPhone Duos on Oct 16th(pre order open day) at 9:00am. I was told I was #141 and #142 on the waitlist. I was told this waitlist was for ALL rogers stores.
Iâm in a rush as my two iPhone 16 Pro Maxs expire on the âsave & returnâ this month. My bill is currently $1800 to be paid by Nov 6th.
My rogers store is telling me the iPhone Duos are still not there and that I am first in the list for that store but they havenât yet received a single iPhone Duo. They are also saying that donât worry, they will definitely have the iPhone duos before Nov 6.
I find it crazy that all of rogers in Canada didnât even get 150 iPhone Duos.
Should I be worried?

Trying to port a number to Telus
I had previously ported a number to Telus, replies yes, and shouldnât have had any worries.
Here we are a month later, Telus said Rogerâs declined the transfer. Waited on hold for 3 hours for technical support to not give me any assistance, and said they would call me the next day at 12:00. Confirmed multiple times over the phone that they were gojng to call my other number. No phone call. Called customer service and they said they cannot assist I will need to go into store. Store cannot get me an eSIM on my phone for the number Iâm apparently still paying Rogerâs for.
How is this even possible???!
Edit: was also told that Rogerâs cannot bypass the phone authentication (Telus seems quite certain you can), and cannot agree to ports that Telus confirms are valid (told this by Rogerâs rep over the phone).

I've been trying to get on a call with Rogers for 2 hours now. Is there any other way I can get connected with them? I've missed 2 meetings today and yesterday I wasn't audible during my calls half the time. This internet is horrible.

I ordered a phone with the Rogers card with Fido, but the transaction didnât work and now it show the transaction 2 time (they took my money twice.) I called to cancel, but they werenât letting me cancel the order, and insisting to wait 3-5 business days for them to actually take the money. I want to cancel my order now. How do I do that? Thank you.

Canât seem to receive SMS. Sending is fine. Have waited on hold with technical support for an aggregate 3+ hours today. What the fuck?

Home internet and phone 5G ( just phone data not wifi ) have been out since this afternoon in Toronto
Rogers corp store would only let me have the duo in store stock if I activated a new plan.
If I wanted to buy outright and pay their already higher price by $85 +$40 setup fee, I would have to order online.
Did get around it by cancelling my plan next day but I dont knw why they wont just sell as a corporate store lol.
I get it if dealer stores do that

Thanks to strict consumer protection rules in Quebec, Rogers is not allowed to charge a fee to Quebecers when they pay their bill by credit card.

TLDR: you won't get a full refund on this if you activate the internet and use/try it before you want to return it
My company recently tried to switch to Rogers 5G Business Internet to see if it would give us faster speeds than Bell has.
For context, we're kind of in the middle of buttfuck nowhere so I was wary. I checked with a "sales representative" (yeah, I know they just tell me things I want to hear) and they were saying they would issue a full refund if I cancelled within 30 days of activation.
Well, so I activated it and tried it out for a couple of days. And shocker, it doesn't work very well.
So I followed all the steps to return it and today when I phoned them, they said they refuse to issue a full refund because I "used the product".
I understand I was the one who didn't read the fine print or more likely, Rogers kept their terms and conditions super vague so they can interpret it however they want but ugh.
Anyways, don't try this unless you're ready to fully commit to it and have full confidence in its ability. Else, you'll end up as an victim of corporate greed.

UPDATE:
I just ordered it on the app, chose no term and they charged me the full amount up front. Rogerâs was useless I called them and spoke to 3 stores and no one would help.
Hi All
Like that title says I reserved the iPhone 18 pro and it finally came in. I chose the Rogerâs store and went to pick it up. Apparently itâs not a Rogerâs store itâs an authorized dealer and they said I can only finance to get the phone. I checked Reddit previously and people had success. Please share if you did and how you did it. Nothing said it wasnât a Rogerâs store and when I asked if there are any in my city the person said no. I want to use my Rogerâs 1.5 cash back on it.
Thanks for any info or advice !

On November 20th, the payment of over 700 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max Iâve been using under the "Save and Return" program is coming due. I do not wish to pay the remaining "keep it" balance; instead, I would like to return the phone. When and how can I go about returning it? Could you please share your experiences?
Seems not the only one: https://www.reddit.com/r/askvan/comments/1te9xpw/anyone_elses_phone_keep_switching_to_edmonton_time/
I am currently in north BC near the AB border. Funnily no Rogers signal here but Bell/Telus works. My phone has been constantly flipping back and forth from BC time to AB time.
In the meantime Iâve turned off auto detect time, but this seems to be an issue specific to Rogers.
Anyone have similar experience with this?
To any Rogers lurkers, any way to have this looked at and resolved?

Iâll keep this short
last week I started a new service with rogers. 5G wireless internet, everything went well getting it set up. The sales rep quoted me $65/month for the first 2 years, which goes up to $90 after that point. Plus I get an additional $10 off a month because Iâm already a rogers customer. Great. All good.
This week I get sent an invoice for $90+tax. They forgot to add the 2 year promo. I put a billing inquiry request in through and AI agent. I get an email today saying $90 is what I signed up for. Now Iâm pissed so I call to make a complaint. It took the customer service rep 30 minutes to submit a billing inquiry for me (this initially took me 5 minutes on my computer). She also told me there is no $65 promo on. Since then, I havenât heard anything back.
I thought today Iâd call a sales rep again and inquire about promos. He let me know of the $65/month promo. So it is a thing and now I feel Iâve been scammed. He tried to transfer me to customer service, so I hung up and called Bell.
Im fully considering cancelling my cell phone through Rogers because of how terrible the customer service is. What a nightmare

Hey all. Iâm a low volume data user typically between 1.5 to 2.5 gigs per month. Twice in the last 12 months I have been hit with overage charges claiming close to 4 gigs resulting in close to the $50 max government imposed limit. In both cases I was essentially told if itâs there itâs legitimate ⊠but they refuse to provide any detailed proof of what comprises to overages.
If they are doing this occasionally across a large number of their 12 million plus customers you have to start wondering if it is something other than pure coincidence.
Regardless, no business should be allowed to charge you without providing details on request.
Could be an interesting class action if this abuse is widespread.

I'm in Edmonton today visiting Family and I'm trying to show Photos off my iPhone and like usual BELL/TELUS doesn't work Because i got 1 Bar but some how they got 15+ Towers/small cells in the area so i had to hotspot my ROGERS phone...
Why is ROGERS always Stronger with 1 to 2 TOWERS compared to TELUS one of the main reasons why it's so hard to leave ROGERS even tho they piss me the f off most of the time... there service just works
