I’m thinking about becoming a pilot, other than this what else do I need?
And is there AC in the cockpit.

We've had a number of requests to do a couple things with Rule 8, which involved AI and Flight sim content. Here is what we did.
Rule 8 is now "No AI Generated Images / Posts". The rule itself says AI generated content is pretty lazy and while it may be shitty and have a plane, it doesn't constitute a flying-related shitpost. Who created the content or where it was initially shared is irrelevant.
Flight sim content is now part of rule 9, which is "No Video Game / Flight Sim Content" and states While you can do some pretty funny and shitty things with them, Video games and Flight Sim content do not belong in this sub. Content from those would be better posted into their respective shitty subreddits, if they exist.
We have also re-orderd a couple rules (I like the way it looks better this way) and changed the verbage on a couple for clarity. I'm not going to list those, feel free to take a refresher course in the rules of the sub!
Stay shitty, my friends.

Everyone,
I am seeing far too many violations of our simple rules. VERY simple rules, such as these:
"Only Flying-Related Shitposts allowed" - This does not mean you write something about flying in the title or the text of the post, but EVERYTHING in the post should be about flying. The image, video, text, subject, everything. SIMPLE.
"No linking to or mentioning other subs or their posters" - This is about as obvious as you can get, yet still people don't get it.
"No AI / Flight sim." - Might be a little harder, but still relatively simple.
While I'm sure the majority of you are not violating these rules, some of you are.
Going forward, you break the rules, it may very well result in a ban. If you can't be bothered to read and follow the rules, you don't deserve to post in the sub.
I've been very forgiving on these for a long time, and my limit has been reached.

Serious question. Some Moroccan guy on Reddit wants a pilot to wish him happy birthday from the cockpit.
I’m a 737 captain and I’m willing to help, but I’m concerned this might violate sterile cockpit rules.
Would this count as an unauthorized transmission? Do I need ATC clearance before singing Happy Birthday? And since he’s requesting a service, does this technically make me a Part 135 operator if he gives me Reddit karma?
My FO says I’m overthinking it, but he also told me squawking 7700 for a birthday emergency was “completely unnecessary.”
Also, would singing on guard be considered an emergency transmission if I really need him to have a good birthday?
I have 12,000 hours and a mortgage. I really don’t want the FAA revoking my ATP over some Moroccan guy turning 23. Any DPEs or aviation lawyers here who can clarify?
Please respond quickly. We’re holding short of 27R and tower has asked us three times why we’re still on the ground.

Can anyone do it for me and send me a job? It was enough effort just to write this post
Looking to sign up on a website and willing to start small, maybe 787 FO. I already have 250 hours so

I hate to brag, but my lamb kabobs are to die for. I use this marinade made with olive oil, cumin, garlic and soy sauce.
Anyway, I am going on a long haul flight soon and I want to cook them onboard. Obviously, Sterno is prohibited. However, what about “Safe Heat” Sterno? It’s a low flame, so that should be okay, right? What if I bring extra for the crew?”

Ok so the right rudder has clearly been lacking in this sub lately, but guess what… IVE FOUND THE SOLUTION. FRFR you can do leg day IN FLIGHT!!!!! dude this is a TOTAL game changer.
Now the real catch is you can ONLY do right leg day.. left leg? Who cares.
This thing fits in your pyelatus copylot seat just fine and you can GEY YUUUUUUGE while you’re totally putting enough rudder in
Happy leg day!!!
