I'm a local Sussex-based student researcher at the University of Plymouth doing a PhD that explores how people connect with, care for, and experience our coastal spaces in and around Shoreham and Sussex – and how we can strengthen those connections to inspire more care for the oceans.

Hi Everyone,

I am a PhD student at the University of Brighton and I am inviting local residents and beach users to take part in a short survey about the Southwick Reef project. This project involves adding special eco-engineered structures (seawall panels, vertipools, and reef cubes) to the coastline at Shoreham Port to improve marine biodiversity while protecting the coast.

We're currently working on a new Channel 4 build renovation series that's filming in the south of England.

The series is presented by Stacey Solomon, who, with the assistance of experts will help people continue the renovation of their homes after they’ve been left high and dry by builders.
