Software Somebody make this: An LLM that turns all the lore you collect in RPGs into an interactive, spoiler-free storyteller Spoiler

• Upvotes

I love adventure games and RPGs with deep lore, but I have one problem: I absolutely hate stopping every five minutes to read two pages of some ancient journal, book, or random note I found in a dungeon.
I’m the type of player who will collect EVERY lore item I come across, but realistically, I’m not going to sit there and read all of them.
Here’s what I want: An LLM integrated directly into a game’s lore system.
Imagine playing something like Skyrim, Elden Ring, The Witcher, or Baldur’s Gate. Every book, journal, letter, inscription, and piece of lore you collect gets added to an AI-powered knowledge base.
Instead of reading everything individually, you could:
Ask questions naturally: “Who is this guy everyone keeps mentioning?” or “Why are these two factions fighting?”
Get the interesting stuff: Have the AI pull out the coolest stories, hidden connections, and important details from everything you’ve collected.
Connect lore to the main story: After a major cutscene or quest, ask, “What lore have I found that makes this moment more meaningful?”
Avoid spoilers: The AI only knows what you’ve discovered and experienced so far. It can’t reveal anything you haven’t unlocked.
Get immersive explanations: Maybe the AI even takes on the personality of an in-game historian, companion, or storyteller rather than sounding like ChatGPT.
The biggest thing for me is contextual storytelling.
I don’t necessarily want a summary of every book I pick up. I want the game to recognize when something I’ve collected is relevant to what’s happening and help me appreciate it.
Imagine finishing a huge boss fight and having the option to ask, “Okay, what was that guy’s deal?” and getting a fascinating two-minute explanation that connects the fight to five different pieces of lore you collected over the last 20 hours.
Or having an AI companion casually mention some obscure historical detail you uncovered that completely changes how you interpret a cutscene.
I feel like there’s an incredible amount of worldbuilding in these games that most players never fully experience because it’s buried in hundreds of pages of optional reading.
I want to experience the depth of the world without having to stop playing the game to do homework.
Has anyone seen a game or mod attempting something like this? Because I would absolutely love it.
P.S. Yes this was made with AI. Sue me.

Software [SMT] Software idea for a good/great Lego layout design setup

I was chatting with Google's AIMode about combining LDD+4DBrix+Studio+Bluebrick softwares into a single unified piece of kit for larger layouts that incorporate phsyical height differences along with both 3d and 2d viewports for general overview and individual MOCS. Maybe someone who knows software or knows where I could go to talk to people who might be interested in idea's for the software so that maybe we could get something hammered out in the future. Can provide link to conversation if you want to take a look at it

Other Social Impact App Idea: Direct Support for People Experiencing Homelessness

Hello,

I would like to propose an app idea with the potential to make a real difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness. I believe there is an opportunity to develop a simple, modern platform that makes it easier for people to help one another directly, and that could be an interesting project for your team to develop.

The idea is a platform that enables people to provide direct support to those experiencing homelessness.

Today, support often consists of services such as food distribution and shelters. These are important, but people experiencing homelessness may need much more than food: clothing, shoes, hygiene products, a phone, public transportation, temporary accommodation, or financial assistance to help them move toward securing a home of their own.

Such an app could offer:

Direct donations: The ability to contribute money via Swish, where permitted by applicable payment regulations.

Personalized needs: Recipients can describe what they need and the goals they want to achieve.

Safe verification: Private verification through social workers, charitable organizations, or trained volunteers, with alternative options for people who lack BankID or official identification.

Privacy and dignity: No one should have to expose sensitive documents or publicly share traumatic life stories to receive help.

Practical and material support: Donors could also offer clothing, hygiene products, transportation, and other essential items.

Long-term independence: Opportunities to receive support with finding housing, studying, working, and rebuilding financial stability.

Fraud prevention: Verified profiles, reporting features, and clear information about what has actually been verified.

The central idea is to shift the focus from immediate survival alone toward self-determination, dignity, and the opportunity to escape homelessness.

I believe an initial, relatively simple version could be piloted locally in Stockholm in partnership with a charitable organization, then further developed based on real-world needs.

I would therefore like to put forward this idea as a potential development project for your team. Would you be interested in exploring the concept, assessing its feasibility, and potentially developing a prototype or minimum viable product (MVP)?

I believe such a service could create tangible social value while offering a scalable model that could be adopted by other cities.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this proposal.

Kind regards,

Software I am good at creating web app prototypes but need ideas

A bit about me. I have a background in coding, math, and finance. I am good at building quick prototypes and proof of concepts using mock data. But I struggle with building something that a business really needs and getting to them.

If you have a business or a problem that you or your company deals with, what would it be? Please include as much info as possible about the workflow or the headache.

Physical Product Canned food in vending machined

Its a simple idea that instead of soft drinks being dispensed in vending machines, items like soup, stew, vegetables, tinned hot dogs etc are bought from a vending machine. There could be pros and cons but i think its different and there could be a market for it. Packets of rice, noodles and pasta also possible.

Software What’s one everyday problem you wish someone would actually solve?

I've been thinking about how many little problems we deal with every day that we just accept as normal, even though they make life more difficult than it needs to be.

It could be something at school, work, home, in your community, or even a bigger issue affecting society.

If you could solve ONE problem and make tomorrow a little better than today, what would it be?

It could be something that could be solved through an app, technology, a service, or just a smarter way of doing things.

I'm especially curious about problems that don't have a good solution yet, or where the existing solutions are too expensive, inconvenient, or simply don't work well.

No idea is too small. I'd genuinely love to hear what people think needs to change.

Physical Product Resin-coating printer: plain paper gets a glossy photo finish, but only where the photo is

Concept, not a real product. The image is AI-generated, just to explain the idea. Nothing has been built.

I print a lot of documents, but sometimes there's a photo on the page too. Photo paper is pricey, and swapping paper every time is a pain. On plain paper, the ink soaks in and the photo comes out dull.

So the idea: a home inkjet with 6 inks.

- Ink 5 is a pre-coat, laid down only under the photo.

- Ink 6 is a resin-like top coat, cured with UV light.

- Text-only areas get no coating at all, so you only spend coating where it matters.

The UV step makes printing a little slower, but the finish is better, and the coated part is water-resistant. Cut it to card size and you've got custom cards. You could even print nail tip designs on a sheet, cut them out, and finish them with clear gel.

Some things like this already exist, just not in one everyday printer. Photo printers already have clear "gloss optimizer" inks, but they only work on glossy paper. Home UV printers exist too, but they're big and expensive.

The hard part is probably making water-based ink sit on a UV-cured layer, and fitting a UV light into a normal-sized, normal-priced printer.

Would you use one? What would you print first? If enough people want it, I'm hoping a printer maker picks it up.

Physical Product My brain went from thinking about poop to inventing a startup idea 💀

Okay so I had this random thought today.

If I don't poop for one day and then eat the next day, will I feel full faster compared to if I had pooped? 😭

I mean, technically there's already stuff occupying space inside your intestines, right? So shouldn't that leave less space for new food?

Then I started wondering what actually happens if someone doesn't poop for MANY days. Can they actually die from it? Has that happened to people?

And then another question popped into my head.

What if someone consumes ONLY liquids for many days? Will they eventually stop pooping because there's no solid food going in, or will the body keep producing waste anyway?

At this point I went down a whole rabbit hole about digestion, stool volume and how the body processes food.

AND THEN MY BRAIN DID ITS THING 💀

What if we could make a completely liquid meal that contains everything the body needs — protein, carbs, fats, vitamins, minerals, everything — while producing as little waste as reasonably possible without compromising gut health?

Basically, less time cooking, less time eating, potentially less time in the bathroom, and more time for literally anything else.

I know complete meal replacement drinks already exist, so I'm not claiming I invented liquid food lmao. But has anyone seriously researched optimizing nutrition while minimizing waste production?

Is there a scientific limit to how much waste the body can produce on a nutritionally complete diet? Could this be optimized further?

Or am I just overthinking basic biology and need to touch grass? 😭

Genuinely curious to hear what people think.

(Structures the paragraph using AI)

Service A food delivery company that ONLY delivers soups, stews, chilis, etc...

Why is there no company like HelloFresh, CookUnity, Factor, etc., that JUST delivers soups, stews, chowders, chilis, etc.? They could also do salads, breads, etc. General stuff that would go WITH a good soup.

I, personally, love all this stuff and WOULD order stuff multiple times a month IF a service like this existed.

Now... I know most of you are gonna jump on Google and look for one right now lol. But, good luck...

You're gonna come back with MAYBE GardenCup, BUT... their soup options are minimal and their main product is, meh... not for me.

But yea, if a soup delivery company existed and they had tons of options, and could deliver individual-size containers of various soups and etc., then... yea, I'd 100% be a subscriber. Damn the cost!!! 😂

Software Life Flow Lifestyle Program

I can’t be the only person who struggles with this. You look at other people and their life just seems to flow. You look at yours and it feels choppy and disconnected.

It’s your life, so you should be living your life the way you want to. But the way we want to live it often isn’t the healthiest.

For many people, the way their daily flow of life looks is influenced by their role models. It’s small habits they’ve picked up over time. Its routines instilled into them as a kid.

What do I mean when I say flow of life?

Think of how your morning goes. You roll out of bed, get ready for work, eat, and then you are out the door. Maybe you have a couple specific rituals, but if you are like me you struggle with making it flow when it’s not a panic.

The flow is a connected sequence of events that makes of part of your life. Your morning and evening routine. Your days off. Your personal care. Your cleaning.

Think about how that may differ from high functioning examples:
- A parent of 3 kids who gets everything moving in the morning but still has time for themself.
- A student who isn’t rushing out the door and barely making it to class.
- A business professional who makes it to work 30 minutes early every day and always seems calm, capable and professional.

The biggest benefit is showing people what habits make life flow better, and what those habits look like in an actual life, across multiple different types of lifestyles.

They all have a life flow which works for them. A cadence they have developed that works for them. But how do you build that life flow if you haven’t had good examples, or maybe you’ve struggled with mental health or executive dysfunction for a good portion of your life?

That’s why the life flow app exists:

It serves several main purposes:

- A tracker for your life flow so you can lay it out and see your life from a top level.
- Tailored examples from high functioning individuals whose lives feel and run smoothly.
- A basic education program for building routines, identifying lost time, finding hobbies, etc.

This isn’t a productivity app. It’s a lifestyle app (yes I cringe at that term too) whose goal is to make life flow easier. Rather than fighting the flow or stopping and starting, it supports routine stacking and habit stacking in an easy to follow format with real examples.

I could even see it connecting people to resources for life coaches, or having designated life flow coaches who know what makes a life move easier and can identify stress points like a lack of a budget, lack of a personal care routine, no personal development, etc.

It’s an idea I’m playing around with, but probably should focus my efforts first on leaving the job I don’t enjoy anymore.

So if you want to do something with this, please be my guest! Happy to share more ideas related to it.

I’m of the mindset that ideas are worthless till actually acted on. So whether I’m acting on them or someone else is I am happy.

Software Hear me out on this app idea: Tinder but for your utility bills.

Post image
2 Upvotes

We need an app where everyday people upload their pending bills, and bored billionaires swipe right to pay them.

The branding is already sorted:

Adopt A Bill

Treating invoices like shelter pets waiting for a wealthy benefactor to take them home.

DebtMatch

Where your financial liabilities finally find their wealthy soulmates.

Tinder breaks hearts, but this app fixes credit scores. Stop building boring corporate productivity tools and start coding.

Physical Product [SMT] Would you use a dual-lens gimbal camera that plugs directly into your phone?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’m exploring an idea for a compact phone accessory: a dual-lens, three-axis gimbal camera head without a separate handle.

You’d turn your phone upside down so the USB-C port faces upward, then attach the camera at that end. A padded spring clip would grip the phone’s front and back edges to support the module. The phone would serve as the grip, viewfinder, and control interface.

The goal is to carry a small camera module and use the screen you already have. Power and data would ideally run through the direct USB-C connection, with no external cable.

These are AI-generated concept renders, not photos of a working prototype. Power consumption, phone/app compatibility, mounting fit, and the full range of gimbal movement still need validation.

I’d appreciate some honest feedback:

• What would you actually use this for?

• Would you consider this instead of a separate pocket camera or a phone gimbal?

• What would put you off most: setup time, size, phone battery drain, the clip covering part of the screen, or something else?

If your first reaction is “my phone already does enough,” I’d like to hear that too.

I'm a grade 10 highschool student from the Philppines and my school just announced a research technology competition with a cash prize of 100k pesos, which will disttributed evenly among us 4 research members. I'm reaching out to all those creative minds out there to help me and my team formulate an idea (it can be an app or a product) that will either help the environment, community or the technological industry (https://www.samsung.com/ph/solve-for-tomorrow/) this is the link of the competition for full details btw*. Guys Please comment your ideas and make sure that when u comment you are consenting for us to use it! Thankss

Software Local data storage from AI, chat apps etc

Companies such as OpenAI, Meta, Alphabet use our data to train their models. Yet, when somebody tries to use knowledge distillation they block their accounts.

So I was wondering if someone can code something like a screen recorder for specific apps, either a chrome extension or something similar in a mobile app, to store in a local database the conversations and the overall interaction with proper structure.

The goal is two-fold:

-Have a personal dataset that would be later used for customized local models (personal assistants). I see a great escalation of local AI in the recent future.

- control over the data in general. If this existed long ago. Everyone could have profit by selling his/her data.

Ideally this should be an open-source project. I would happily involved to build something but currently i don't have that much free time to build it on my own.

Physical Product Torch projector immersive games

I was thinking that a torch that had a projector beam in it and motion sensors could be used in some way in gaming. In a white painted room in near darkness you could point it in a direction and the projection be for a specific angle. When the direction is changing the corresponding picture for the angle could incrementally change. Point it higher, lower and in different directions and the picture alters. The result is it could produce the effect that your inside the game and the torch projectors picture shows your pretend 'in game' surroundings. It would be more limited in a house because of furniture and different sized rooms although a more limited version would be possible. The picture has to reflect where you are holding the torch and the angle to know what to project. It could admittedly be very complicated to get to work but if it were possible it has a lot of scope for games that feel like your in the game. More basic versions could be done for one wall only or for the floor. Point up with the projector and it looks like your shining a light higher up the scene of the game, point at the ceiling and it might be a starry sky or alien invasion, have a crosshair for a game where you shoot with the torch used like a gun. Control buttons like a control pad could be on it too.

Quadriplegic here. I'm imagining a small, mirrored wedge that the two cards could be slid onto so that only I could read them. That way I can hire someone to be my hands, but only I know what I have.

A butterfly-like robot with AI for personal assistance. It has spatial consciousness and can fly around in the home. Alright I know what you’re all gonna say “I hate that yellow ball he’s annoying” but my baby is OBSESSED with him. She will run (crawl like a demon baby) as fast as she can across the house if she hears his commercial come on. Idk what it is about that thing but she wants it bad. I was thinking it shouldn’t be that hard to make right? It’s just a dodgeball with yellow fur eyes and a mouth. But when I tried to actual plan out how to do it I realized it is in fact not that simple and I also don’t know how to sew 💀 so if anyone can make one of these or if anyone can find one on Etsy or something ( I haven’t been able to find anything) I would gladly buy it for my baby 💀

Software Feedback on an AI learning app that plans lessons around your schedule?

I’m considering building an iOS app where you pick a topic, set a learning goal, and get short lessons with quizzes.
You’d tell it when you’re available, and it would fit lessons into your week, send reminders, track progress, and adjust the plan when you miss a session.
I know AI tutors already exist. I’m trying to figure out whether helping people stay consistent around a busy schedule solves a real problem before I build anything.
What’s the last thing you tried to learn but didn’t finish? What got in the way, and what did you use to stay on track?
Would you be interested in trying an early version? Honest criticism welcome.
