Rereading (listening) again and I just finished the scene where Shallan enters the war camps for the first time. At this point she’s survived assassins and being shipwreck. Then not only makes it to the war camps. She secures a neutral place for herself to stay. The loyalty of a group of shoulders that have seen her to be capable and honest (ironically). And convinces Dalinar to continue the causal. The girl is a badass.

Oh and Pattern is the best spren. I love him

Firstly please no spoilers for future books. Secondly, wow! What an absolute banger of a book. I got goosebumps when Dalinar traded his Shardblade for the bridgemen. What is a man's life worth?

Also the twist with Taravagian was so creepy! I am excited to delve further into stormlight archive

I'm rereading the audiobooks with my partner and I've noticed that I haven't heard any descriptions of any of the artwork that's between some chapters, like the maps of war camps or drawings in Shallan's sketchbook. When did they remove them from the audiobooks? Are there different versions that still have these descriptions? I'm rereading them on Libby, same as I did the first time I read them and I remember the audio descriptions because I would look up the artwork after each new one and compare it to how I had pictured it in my head. Just really confused that they aren't there at all anymore and couldn't find any info on why, or anyone acknowledging that they've been removed at all. It's annoying because I don't know which pieces of art are between which chapters so I'm worried about looking at them with my partner on Brandon's website and spoiling something :/

The entire question is basically a giant spoiler and I’m currently on my first read through so: Nale said he’d been taking measures to prevent the return of the desolations, obviously one of those was killing budding radiants, however why didn’t nale intervene with the parshendi war? The heralds knew the parshmen may still be dangerous and wouldn’t it have been a good idea to interject? I doubt he’d know what the stormspren had returned but surely it would be worrying, (also now that I think about it I don’t actually know why they started to return or was the spren that bonded Venli always there?)

Just finished chapter 116. Oh I am so outraged. I hate Taravangian, old hag who pretends to be frail and innocent then just stabs you in the back. And Fen, what a coward. She didn't give a sh*t about the coalition, but poor thing, she was so worried about being betrayed, so now she is the traitor.

Honestly, were I Jasnah, I'd just take my troops and get the hell out of there, so I can go help MY people, who really need help. Just hope Fen doesn't come later whining about her city being unprotected, as she did in the beginning of this book.

Okay so I’m about half way through oathbringer. Started the series in August when my book club suggested Way of Kings and now I’ve read up to Oathbringer. Great series. My question: are we really gonna have Moash be the first human to join the void bringers??? Are we for real? He just had the conversation with the fused in the sky about his name and how they treat people. This book has been peak character writing so far but man. Moash is gonna be an issue when he returns I feel it.

My current theory: Moash will become the champion of Odium or a stepping stone to getting one.

I have just finished reading Words of Radiance but there's SO MUCH going on I think I have forgotten some fundamentals lol

1. WHY is Dalinar now wanting to end with Odium? Like, I know they mention the name every now and again in the book but I didn't think it would have such an impact?

2. I'm so confused on Ghost Bloods at the end - with the drama of the 2 storms clashing wouldn't they assume Elhokar is dead? If so, why do they want to keep Shallan??? And also why are they trying to murder Amaram? Lol
