So I realized that After Hours is heavy asf in autotune. The only album that has heavy autotune, especially in songs like Alone Again and Too Late.

I know that Abel doesn't really need Autotune, so I came out a theory. Abel is using heavy autotune to make it sound like he's intoxicated and high (based on the storyline of After Hours). Because of that, he couldn't sing properly like usual.

Idk about this, I'm bored as shit, so I just wanna post lol.

I'm from China, and I just went to my first ever The Weeknd concert in Hong Kong on October 25. It was absolutely INSANE. Honestly one of the best nights of my life.

I've been listening to Abel for about 3 years now, and I'm a huge fan of his music.

I'm also really into Western music in general, especially Frank Ocean, Ye, and Radiohead.

The thing is, I barely know anyone around me who shares my music taste, so I thought it'd be cool to meet some people from around the world who love the same artists.

Would love to make some international friends, talk about music, share playlists, or just chat about anything!

X-O- 🖤

am i addicted or autistic 😭 my favourite songs are lowkey The Morning and Hurry Up Tomorrow (makes me cry every time, although every song is goated). theres some songs which i like but not by other xo fans i did not add to the list, im crine

i just started listening to weeknd past two years. the beats, synths, the angelic vocals, the deep lyrics, insane production and very high emotional value 👀. whats this? the avengers? will non stop blasting it into my eardrums. this method is highly recommended... makes you discover a new instrument inside the production every time ✌️

Totally not flexing my kissland keychain I bought from the Asia tour, but I’m not really sure where I should hang it.

The chain it comes with is kinda flimsy, so I don’t want to hang it outside my backpack or something like that, but at the same time it needs to be somewhere obvious so I can assert dominance over normies with no music taste, but it also needs to be kinda subtle because that’s just how kissland is.

Where would you hang a kissland keychain?

Kissland best album. (They ran out of after hours)

Got hyped all over again while editing the footage🥹

Idk if someone talked about this yet but the writing in Hong Kong is so beautiful. Since Dancing in the Flames and HUT almost every song has been written to the fans.

The whole song is about how much he loves performing in each city for the fans and how tough it is to have such amazing nights with us and have to keep moving on to the next stop.

"Still remember when we met we barely knew each other, but that tension never left" This is about the fans. I can't believe there is people thinking he's talking about a woman or "Bella" at this point.

I guess there's not really a point to this post but man it's beautiful, I know we love to say he's a manipulator on the stage sometimes lol, but I really think he has an earnest appreciation for the fans that I don't think a lot of major superstars have these days.

Also, it's really cool to hear him writing in real time and previewing songs right away. I don't know if he's written about current time and showed it right away since maybe My Dear Melancholy.

He really wasn't lying about being extra inspired lately. 15 years it still feels new and I'm still excited for what's to come! GOAT

Look at the comment section of the music video! Soo many stories, soo many emotions! Finally a song that has connected with the masses and felt real in emotions for a major chunk of people from HK, getting them all emotional.

This song is a hit and it better release soon!

Lol we have people seeking this video to be used by HK tourism 🥹

Im trying to sell my Official issue LXV merchandise from 2014, it’s a rare grail and hard to come by. priced at 550 and open to offers

Let me know who’s interested in it.

GUYS WHR WILL ABEL MOST LIKELY GO NEAR HIS FANS TO SING ?? out of time or any song really, helps!!! will he go to C2 ? or?

Evan Larsen, the director for "Hong Kong" video said that Abel gave him a list of Hong Kong movies to watch as inspiration before he arrived in the city. Among other names like "Chungking Express", "Hard Boiled" and "A Better Tomorrow", the 1995 film "Fallen Angels" was particularly mentioned as a big inspiration for cinematography. Link to the interview

Similarities include:

- The enigmatic woman in the city

- Smoking all alone

- Neon drenched nocturnal urban interiors

- Ride inside the tunnel

and many more visual nods...

during stargirl where does he go, like I know he obviously isn’t going to sing Lana’s bit but I’m curious what he does for that like minute he’s off stage, my guess would be water or something but wondered if anyone knows or what their thoughts are.

Hey guys I bought these jerseys when I was a bit bigger and I never wore them and looking to sell them. Sizes are XXL. Looking to sell or Trade!!

I think once this tour is over at some point he will release a live (maybe) album of all the tracks he performed on this four year tour. It’ll be called AHTD Tour Album and basically be like a grand conclusion to the tour where it’s either live or studio versions of the whole tour. Probably would only consist of this years tour in Latin America, Europe and Asia, who knows but regardless I believe he releases something like that.

With that will come new tracks like RIO, Tokyo, Hong Kong and maybe other tracks named after countries he toured throughout this year. This won’t be anything of a new era, just music he’s been making on tour and adding it to this tour album since it’s over. I could see him releasing it end of this year and saying a little gift for the fans for the whole tour and while we wait for the next era to begin. Don’t forget he said this is the last leg until shut down, he’s probably going into hibernation mode to relax and work on a new album and era and plans. We know Abel isn’t the type to just drop and album and that’s it, a lot of planning and filming and scheduling happens when it comes to all of his eras so it will take some time. My guess is 2027 is an off year and he will return in 2028 but at least we’d have these new tour tracks to listen to while we wait

okay we need to discuss this at this point. what is this newfound obsession with artists playing full versions of tracks at concerts and taking forever to release them? (looking at you, lana)

in my opinion it's a really terrible way to drop new music. he did it with dancing in the flames, sao paulo, open hearts and now these 3 tracks.

what bothers me is that i become obsessed with these tracks (because they're fucking incredible) and end up listening to the live performance rips and remakes a million times over because there's no sign of the song being released and then when the studio version finally drops all my hype is over and done with months ago when i first became obsessed with the song.

and i feel like for abel this has got to impact the reception of the studio release? i just don't understand playing it so far in advance for fans to wear the song out before it's even released. and i'm getting a little frustrated at this release strategy personally especially with lana playing the same games lol

how do you guys feel?

crossfade 4-5s

it’s getting so close now that my head has completely shifted to all the logistics instead of just looping the setlist. getting out to kai tak, figuring out entry gates, making sure everything on my phone is good to go before heading over...

somehow the closer the date gets, the more i keep double-checking every single detail 😭

i’ve seen quite a few people sharing their tickets for the hk dates recently, which honestly makes it feel so much more real. also noticed several posts mentioning they had good experiences through veritickets especially with tickets getting transferred quickly and support actually being responsive and patient when people had questions about the mobile entry.
