Discussion Italian Visa Interview

Post image
8 Upvotes

Everyone is asking me about the difficulty of Italian visa interview but little do they know there is no such thing called an interview 😅.

I went through this as a student applying for my masters in Rome. After finishing the pre inscription and preparing all the documents you just have to hustle with Almaviva, the Italian agency where you take your visa, to get an appointment because everyone is trying to get one. This doesn’t mean it is impossible to get an appointments, however it needs some time and patience because you won’t be able to take it in person, only by phone call. And imagine when everyone is calling at the same time… you got the idea.

So you got your appointment now congratulations 🎈🎉🎊 you just need to go there on time and with all your documents prepared. You will be filling forms using data from your documents, then you will hand the forms along with the documents to the desk and wait for your turn to sit in-front of someone who will just ask you about your name and the university you are going to study in, if you are a chatter you can talk with him about anything and if you’re not just be quiet and wait for the part when he tells you to hand him a photo and to do your finger prints.

And that’s it, you’re all set, your passport alongside with the documents will be treated and they will call you one day to go and get it from the same office with the visa accepted 🤲🏻.

If you’re wondering about the documents, I covered everything in my blog so you just read and prepare.
Read, nothing is hard about it guys just pray 🤲🏻 and execute 🏃‍♂️ and you will be granted the visa for a new chapter in your life.

I hope the best to anyone who’s trying, and the most important thing is that don’t stress about it, if it is for you then you’ll get it. Always remember that.

Question/Help How to find the courage to start after failing and falling multiple times?

START OVER******

I simply had a rough life and numerous setbacks but those hardships never broke me I always tried to "fight" and do better because I had so much hope, but now it's different my body let me down, Yet I still want to live.... and now I'm stuck in a very dark place, in pain and scared of trying again :)

For context: I'm a nurse and I tried to learn german and I just stopped after spending hours everyday studying, and couldn't get myself to start learning again

Any tips or ways to overcome this blockage are welcome

(Please mods don't delete I want to get tunisians opinions)

Question/Help Recommendations language school?

I speak the tunisian dialect as a 3rd language (both parents are tunisian) and french as a 4th language. Im planning to spend a month in Tunis and was wondering if there are any good quality language institutes to spend one month learning arabic (fosha) and improving my french (currently A2/B1) especially improving my writing.

I havent learned arabic script at all, i can only read tunisian with roman letters and numbers, ya3ni kimen haka.

Ive read Bourgiba school is okay but not very great hence the question.

I know one month is short but just to kickstart my journey

Question/Help Getting paid remotely from a Canadian company to a Tunisian bank account (BIAT) – Tax forms & banking questions?

I recently landed a remote job with a Canadian company that pays in USD/CAD, and I need advice on setting things up without administrative or banking issues.
Since it's a Canadian employer (so not a US W-8BEN form), what specific non-resident tax declaration or contract documentation do they usually ask for? Also, for anyone receiving regular international SWIFT transfers directly to a personal BIAT account, does the bank or Central Bank (BCT) block payments or ask for invoices/contracts after a few transfers, or do most people eventually set up an Auto-Entrepreneur status? Any personal experiences or advice from Tunisians working remotely for Canadian clients would be greatly appreciated!

Question/Help Looking for a business co-founder to launch a B2B SaaS in Tunisia

I’m a full-stack developer with 12 years of experience (former tech lead). I’m building a SaaS product for Tunisian companies with 50–500 employees, solving a problem they deal with every day. The market research and go-to-market plan are done, and a demo is coming soon.

What I bring: the full product side: development, infrastructure, AI.

Who I’m looking for: one or more business-side partners with:

  • Real B2B sales experience (software, ERP or services sold to companies)
  • A network of decision-makers in mid-size Tunisian companies
  • Comfort running meetings and demos in French and Arabic
  • Strong follow-up discipline and the will to build something long-term

Experience selling or implementing Sage or Cegid is a big plus.

What I offer:

  • A real partnership with equity in the company (with vesting), not a salaried job
  • 6–8 weeks of working together first, to see if it clicks, before signing anything
  • We’ll create the company together and apply for the Startup Act label as early as possible

About money: no financial investment is required. If you want to invest, I’ll match your contribution. We’ll agree on a valuation and the equity split before the company is created, so everything is clear from day one.

If this sounds like you, or you know someone, send me a DM.

Question/Help When does my professional experience officially start counting?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to understand, legally, when my professional experience actually starts counting in Tunisia, especially for my CV and future job applications.

Here’s my situation:

  • I completed a 5-month internship at the same company.
  • After that, I had one month of trial period.
  • I officially started working in August, but I didn’t sign my CIVP contract until October.
  • I’ve been working at the company throughout this period.

My question is: From which date is my professional experience legally considered to have started? Is it the beginning of my internship, the start of my trial period, my official start in August, or the date I signed the CIVP in October?

Does the fact that I signed the CIVP later mean that my experience before October doesn’t count? And does the 5-month internship count as professional experience, or is it treated separately?

I’d appreciate answers from people familiar with Tunisian labour law, HR professionals, or anyone who has been in a similar situation.

Thanks in advance!
