Venice Itinerary - November 18-20

I am travelling with my husband and three children (13, 10, 9) to Venice next month and would love an itinerary review and any feedback or suggestions. Disclaimer: We will only be there for 2 nights and 1 full day - yes, I know this is not enough time to fully enjoy the entire city. Our priorities are food, wine/aperativos for the adults, artisan shops, wandering the canals.

Wed. 11/18

15:00 arrive at Marco Polo Airport and take pre-booked water taxi with Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia to our hotel - Palazzo de Polo.

Check in at the hotel and visit a couple of bacari for a ciccheti dinner. On my list are Bar All'Arco, Al Timon, Bacaro ae Bricoe, and Vino Vero. Open to further suggestions given our travel group.

Wander - no other plans. Maybe Rialto Bridge at night?

Thurs. 11/19

Breakfast at a pasticceria - maybe Tonolo to see more of the city and take a roundabout way to St. Mark's

10:30 Timed-entry tickets to St. Mark's Basilica

Walk around to see Doge's Palace exterior (no ticketed plans unless I am convinced otherwise), Scala Contarini del Bovolo, shop and eat lunch in San Marco. Optional - palazzo museum like Moncenigo or Ca' Rezzonico or a gondola ride, depending on how we feel. Return to the hotel to rest and freshen up.

18:15 Dinner reservation at Osteria di ai Gobbi (yes, early, but we want to give us time to eat and walk to our 20:30 show)

20:30 Tickets to Vivaldi's Four Seasons at Palazzo Zaguri. I was really hoping to see the performance at the Chiesa della Pietà, but the performance on this date is Intrepreti Veneziani at Zaguri.

Thurs. 11/19

12:26 Depart Venezia Santa Lucia for Florence - no plans before this - find breakfast or early aperativo before water taxi to Santa Lucia
