Safety Red-Green color blindness

Hello everyone,

I want to apply for a wastewater treatment trainee position in California, however, after finding more information about the job process, I find out that my red-green color blind (mild) will likely impact my chance of getting hire due to job functioning like SCADA system. Does anyone here know if I should continue applying or stop to find another opportunity?

Thanks so much!

Study tips / ?s Distilled Water

Where do people purchase distilled water from? Our local grocery store is going out of business. We’ve used the same brand for the last 30 years. Will I see a difference in results by switching water?

Thanks

SATURDAY: Getting Started in a Water Career What else do I need? (San Bernardino county/California)(Inland Empire)

Graduating with my BS in biochemistry from ucla this June, plan to take the Water Quality Laboratory Analyst Certification this March.

Genuinely how should I market myself, where to look if I have the desire to work in the Inland empire/ SoCal region. I have several lab experience and environmental research from my coastal marine research lab and analytical coursework of the 9 required gen chem/ochem/biochem lab courses I needed for my degree.

I respect everyone who started blue collar and climbed up, but what do I do to break in with my degree and what specific companies would you recommend?

Treatment Methods (DW or WW) Corrosion Best Practices

I've been in wastewater for about a year now as an operator with experience working in industrial settings before this. I see a lot of piping and equipment rusting and paint flaking off from the corrosive exposures. Do you have a corrosion control practice you prefer? What is your general approach to addressing existing corrosion with respect to replacement and resurfacing?
