Vranx.com has been online since 2008. Its updated for Forever. Hopefully it helps some players find addons they didn't know about.

I didn't have time to play during the stress-test and beta.
Can someone help with setting up initial settings through config files / addons so that it's mostly
working on launch? like camera settings, importing macros i
Also how can I preset things like having action bars unlocked / set in proper position with specific keybinds already asigned.
Maybe there are addons that are best for this type of initial starting config that don't make you waste time with basic stuff?

I only get two or three hours a night to play and every patch day feels like a gamble. i've been avoiding auto updates because two or three addons always seem to break something critical. last week I spent the whole raid fixing a WA string instead of helping the group. is there a workflow that keeps the risk low without forcing a full manual check each Tuesday, or do most people just roll back when it hits the fan?

I wanted my whole M+ week in one clean window, so I made ChillM+. v1.6.0 just got a full dark, minimal redesign: flat dark panels, thin dividers, a big score headline, Great Vault slot boxes, a My key card, striped dungeon rows with small score bars, and an accent color you can pick (teal, amber, violet or blue).
What's in it: your score, best key and score per dungeon with teleports, Great Vault ilvls, affixes, crests, raid lockouts, a ready check (durability + consumables), your key with one-click Ask / List buttons, plus Alts and Run log windows in the same style.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’m creating a module for my controller action bar addon
That is.. overriding native Cooldown Manager
I wanted to show the CD ready, and procs, missing buffs on self, missing debuffs on target…etc
Directly on my action bar, without using WeakAura or anything like that
It’s a prototype, I have my controller action bar already working flawlessly.
The cycle thru options is bad, I’m changing it to drop down menus as I post this
May even make it a standalone feature for keyboard and mouse users
What do you guys think?
this addon is made with the assist from AI

i originally started working on this as a simple "chat skin" and it kinda quickly got out of hand.
i've been using elvui and its variants for so long that i eventually started missing the default wow ui. so i mostly just wanted to improve a few things while keeping the original look and feel intact and see if i can feel the remaining gaps without going against the overall feel of the ui.
for chat, you can move the icons to the left, right, top or have them only show on mouseover. the editbox can go above or below the chat frame, tabs can be hidden and channel names can be shortened.
the minimap comes with 3 different skins, right-click tracking like retail, clicking day/night orb opens calendar and mouseover behavior for minimap buttons. you can also permanently hide whichever buttons you don't want.
for the status bar, even if you're not a fan of the eternity skin, i'd still recommend enabling it. it fixes two things that always bothered me about the default bar: it 3 slices the bar so the edges don't get weirdly squished and it adds adaptive ticks that divide the bar into 10% segments regardless of its size.
the damage meter is something i've wanted to mess with for a long time. i kept the changes pretty minimal. it still looks mostly like the retail damage meter, just with a bronze tint and a title bar layout that's a bit closer to details which i got very used to at this point. i also added a report button.
unit frames have a couple of things i've gotten way too used to over the years: class-colored and reaction-colored frames. there's also an option to bring back the early beta artwork for both unit frames and action bars and you can now enable backdrops for action bars other than bar 1.
there are a bunch of smaller things too, like visibility states for all action bars, shorter keybind text, some cvar tweaks, automatic spell upgrades, auto repair and selling junk, etc. most of those actually came later as people started requesting them.
one thing i've been working on recently, which isn't in yet, is the ability to assign macro conditionals directly from the action bars. the idea is to have those conditionals persist through spell upgrades and bar paging without losing their state. it's also meant to avoid showing macro conditions that aren't eligible.
i haven't really run into any issues with it so far but i'd rather leave that one for after launch than rush it in.
so yeah, what started as a chat skin somehow turned into a collection of little things i've wanted from the default ui for years. hope you guys like it.

and lastly, the whole thing is modular, so you can pretty much pick and choose which features you want to use.
Works with Midnight and WoW: Forever
My guild has about 950 members, and people kept pugging keys while guildies with the same key level sat in Silvermoon doing nothing. So I built a group finder that puts the guild first, and over time it grew into a full guild manager. It's now on CurseForge and Wago as Pandy Guild Management.
The group finder (/pgg)
The rest of the guild manager (/pgm, or the panda on the minimap)
Everything shared (posts, keys, teams, raid nights, alt links) travels over hidden guild addon messages to everyone running the addon. Only officers can change teams and raid nights, and every copy checks the sender's rank. Private notes and settings stay local. The group finder can be switched off in Settings if your guild only wants the management side.
On WoW Forever there's no M+, so those parts sit out.
Links
It's free. It works best when a good chunk of your guild runs it, so if you try it, get a few guildies on too. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome, here or in the CurseForge comments.

Hey there,
I waant to track my income and expenses to better understand my ingame finances. I have tried "Accountant" but unfortunately it does not sort the incomes into the right categories and does not track looted gold from mobs at all.
Does anyone have a recommendation? What is important for me is that I can a) use it over multiple characters (e.g. having an "all chars" tab) so I can see what I made in total in a day and that it puts the gold into the right category automatically.
Thanks! :)

I've used this profile since legion, barely have made any changes to it so I dont really remember how raid frame debuffs work, can anyone help me sort this out? If you need screenshots of any other config please let me know.

Hi, I don't remember DBM showing anything from Valeera in delves before. But in the new maze it shows almost all of Valeera's damages as an alert on screen and in the chat combined with a sound. Any way to turn that off?

Haven’t played since 2020. Tried Ellesmere out and was able to eliminate a ton of mods. Took some time but I’m happy with it. I feel I need to adjust the enemy nameplate and color of the target health bar. Thoughts? Let me know if you want it and I can share. Thread and damage meters appear in combat on the bottom right
Hey everyone! With today being the last day of the Forever beta, I wanted to show off a couple of things I’ve been working on for BagSmith. It's come a long way over the last 20+ days.
Loot Helper: is for those moments when your bags are full and you’re trying to pick something up or turn in a quest. It helps you make room by combining stacks or showing you cheap items you could drop.
Disenchant Helper: lets you compare what gear is worth to a vendor, on the AH through Auctionator, or as enchanting materials. Then you can work through the gear disenchanting it one click at a time. The disenchant values are estimated and improve over time.
There’s also been quite a bit else added along the way: gear sets, a smaller Travel Mode, improvements to ilvl handling, and early work on controller support through a separate early-alpha plugin (not yet available).
For anyone seeing it for the first time, BagSmith lets you switch between a spreadsheet-style bag and a regular icon view. I started making it because I wanted an easier way to see what I was actually carrying beyond just a grid of item icons.
Thanks to everyone who’s tried it and sent feedback during the beta. If something feels awkward or you’ve got an idea, I’d love to hear it.

Cya at launch!
