Had an infinite ERA as an Angel.

First time season ticket holder. Heading to the batting practice tomorrow night with my kid. What can we expect? I know we can hit balls. Can we play catch in the outfield? Is there enough to do to kill a couple hours?

This is what I’ve built so far and I’m super excited to try and attend all of the giveaways next year. The random Yankee’s Rumi I got during a trip in NY!!
I’m surprised no one’s really posted their collection here

I think I'm going to do a couple of these every day until I get through the roster, so I started with my favorite guys. It's Ureña time!
Ureña had a rocky start to the season as a reliever, but once he was recalled and added to the rotation he was one of the best starters in the AL.
Over the course of 148.1 innings, Urenã accumulated 3.8 WAR, posted a 2.97 ERA, and racked up 142 strikeouts.
His Statcast page is a ton of fun - he's above-average to elite in almost every category besides his fastball run value, BB%, and extension (and honestly, who cares about the extension).
Ureña's biggest weakness (the walks) actually showcases his greatest strength - his ability to absolutely lock things down with runners on base. This is one of those intangibles that pitchers either have or don't have, and Ureña is the real deal. The sample size is too large to claim that he's just lucky - he's just that cool on the mound, and doesn't panic at all under pressure.
Ureña also throws arguably the best changeup in baseball (check out his 100 offpseed run value on Statcast!) and an effective breaking ball - oddly, it's the 100-mph fastballs that work against him most often.
Ureña had one of the best rookie seasons of any Angels pitcher, ever. He's only 22 and has a lot of room to grow. If he can cut down the walks, he could easily end up being a perennial top-10 pitcher in baseball.

One of only two Angels players to hit a Triple in their Debut at-bat.

The Meck! He came out of nowhere this year to become a fan-favorite, and by consensus is one of Perry's best pickups during his tenure as GM. Let's take a look at how Meckler performed this season:
In 96 games, Meckler put up 2.4 WAR (that's approximately a 4 WAR pace over a full season). He slashed .300/.373/.387 for a .760 OPS and posted +1 OAA and 6 DRS in the outfield.
He doesn't smoke the ball, but has an elite Squared-Up % and Chase %, so he's able to make consistent contact, contributing to his high batting average.
He over-performed his peripherals (.263 xBA vs his .300 BA), but his underlying approach at the plate was solid. He also performs significantly better against righties than lefties (.800 OPS against RHP vs .554 against LHP), though he began to do more damage against lefties later in the season.
In any case, Meckler was productive at the plate and in the outfield in 2026, and will see plenty of playing time in 2027.

After over 15 years of wanting this jersey, I finally decided to get it. 😃
I found a decent deal on Facebook Marketplace for $200. What do you guys think?

The last retired uniform number was Jim Fregosi in 1998. We have had so many amazing players to play since; and a World Series in 2002. Can we please get Tim Salmon or Vladdys numbers retired.
I understand Vladdy and Trout are 27 but they can make an exception and say oh after trout then no more.

Hey Angels fans,
Every year I do a realistic multi-year rebuild in MLB the show and have decided to do the Angels for 2027.
I try to do research during the offseason and was looking for suggestions of podcasts to listen to or social media accounts to follow to get more familiar with aspects of the team (and more specifically the farm system)
