I've been trying to find more classic-esque melancholic songs, but all I keep finding are really over-produced pop-ballads. I love strong vocals, but it's not making me feel sad. I want to listen to more depressing ones that anyone in this subreddit knows...

I personally think she’s one of the best singers in Armenian pop music right now. The way she blends pop, neo-soul, RnB with Armenian traditional music is so satisfying and creative at the same time.
Her debut album Love Reversed, which came out fairly recently, is really good.
But what do you guys think?
Also, if you’re fan of her music, you should check out r/brunettesinger, it’s a subreddit specifically dedicated to her artistry!

Just now Naré with a son BOO! won this years JESC with 202 points on the leaderboard! This is definitely one of the most deserved winnings in JESC, congratulations to Armenia from Ukraine, well done!❤️🎉🇦🇲

Hello neighbors,
I am looking for answers for the following questions.
- What songs and artists are known and respected by people from all age groups ?
- What songs would make people excited no matter how many times it played before ?
- What songs would people sing along either happily or sadly ?
Thank you for your answers.

Their version of Șaraiman (a romanian famous “gypsy”/lăutari song) has about 20 million views on youtube. Last night, they sang Soro Lume & Toate Diamantele (this one is from the genre called manele, which is actually both loved and hated by romanian people because while being listened by millions, it is highly associated with low-education people, gypsy people and stuff like that. The singers of manele (and also lăutărească music singers) are usually unschooled artists, who sing by the ear, not by the notes.
I love Jako and Ladaniva! Shnorhakalut’yun! I started being in love with Armenia because of her, because in 2024 when i discovered Ladaniva i started listening to a lot of armenian music.

Does anybody know/have a transliteration of the song entitled Hala Hala by Nune Yesayan? I believe it is in Musa Leran dialect, which is sadly going extinct.
Thank you

There was a song that was popular either last year or the year before with two Armenian guys singing from the car. I don’t remember any of the lyrics unfortunately. All i remember is that I had never heard of these guys before and suddenly they had a popular song. Spent hours combing through my YouTube history because i was convinced I saved the song but can’t find it. Even tried using chatgpt to no avail.
Anyone know what song I might be thinking of? Song was in Armenian.

Nikol made a statement a while ago about a show taking place.. then Serj made a contra statement about “time and logistical” challenges and they will announce it once it’s rescheduled. A friend told me before all of these statements that it is indeed going to take place in republic square.
1- Any more info?
2- did Serj say that so people don’t start reselling and attend the free show instead? LOT flies everyday and they carry cargo too.🤔

Does anyone know the song playing from 2:09–3:02 in this video? Especially the part around 2:40 where I think he says “Hayastanum mi ashkharh ka” and before the instrumental someone yells “Djan Arsen!” It sounds like an old Spitakci Hayko-style rabiz song from the 2000s. I’m not Armenian but am deep into the music, I already know a lot of songs but I really wanna find this one if anyone can help out here’s the link:
