Recently on April 24, it was Armenian genocide Remembrance Day, commemorating the 110th anniversary of the massacres done by the Ottoman Empire against the Armenian people in 1915.
On October 18 2020, Brunette made a cover of “Der Zor”, alongside Meghu and yellowheart. Originally released by Sirusho in 2016, Der Zor is a song talking about the unbreakable spirit of the Armenian people despite facing tragedies in the past. The title itself refers to the desert in Syria where populations were concentrated during deportations.
It is also worth mentioning that Brunette and her friends decided to cover this song in the context of the Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh in 2020.
