With the success of the new rules about infield positioning, MLB is considering other changes, among them:

* Outfield positioning rules to ensure outfielders play in the same place, allowing hitters to train better to hit em where they ain't.

* A rule requiring infielders to keep one foot on the nearest base that is occupied by a runner. Bases will be made somewhat larger so that all four infielders can comply if there is only one runner on base.

* Each defensive player will be assigned a superfan from the other team to follow them around and hurl insults. Moving too far away from your assigned harasser awards the batter first base and moves all runners up one base.

* In extra innings, all fielders will start the inning in Houdini-style restraints in special tanks just inside the foul lines.

* During the playoffs, each team will be given a small number of battlefield nukes to deploy as needed to reduce defensive efficiency.

I thought this was America.
