West-Berlin/Charlottenburg. Blick vom Europa-Center auf den Breitscheidplatz, Anfang der 1970er Jahre. Rechts die Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, nach links schwenkend der Kurfürstendamm. Eigentlich nichts besonderes, schon oft gesehen. Aufgefallen ist mir allerdings das umlaufende Holzgerüst um die Turmspitze. Hab ich so noch nicht gesehen. It might seem unremarkable, a scene one has seen many times before, but what caught my eye is the wooden scaffolding encircling the church spire. I hadn’t seen it like this before. I went for a walk through Spandau Forest yesterday around 6 PM.

The autumn colours were beautiful, with fallen leaves covering the trails and the forest getting quieter as the evening went on.

It's easy to forget that Berlin has places like this.
