My new little companion
6 months old. It didn’t work out at her first home, so I adopted her. Overstimulated and stressed out. Constantly on guard. We’re 9 days into it and she is slowly warming up, and are adjusting to a new calm home without kids. Such a sweet and gentle little creature. But reserved. She is the first kitten ever not to trash my house when I’m out. Even though I don’t mind. Lol. I have a lot of focus on reverse cat psychology, stimulating her curiosity, scheduled play time, finding out which types of playing she likes and building trust. And making sure she gets breaks, and learn to also calm down again. Even though she might never be a lap cat, she follows me everywhere and she is never more than 6 feet away. Favorite play is hide and seek and fetching small curled up paper balls, I shoot through the room with a rubber band. She brings it back every single time. Apparently she taught herself. Regular cat toys are not interesting at all. I think the previous home have “over played” her in an unhealthy way. And it ended up with a confused little girl. She just gets better and better here with me for every day that passes, and it’s so so rewarding noticing the small changes in her overall behavior.

Bonjour :)
Y’a t il une différence de caractère en fonction de la robe du birman ( blue point, seul point, cream etc) et entre une femelle et un mâle ?
Des conseils pour accueillir un birman chez soit, besoin particulier ?
Merci 🐱

Prettiest boys
I wanted to remember my two beautiful Birman boys,
Charlie and Herbie. I lost Charlie on July 24 and Herbie on September 30. Their 16th birthdays are next week. I don’t anticipate that I’ll ever have a Birman again, but they are such beautiful, soulful cats. Charlie and Herbie were born in 2010 and passed this year at age 15.

No phones allowed
She wanted attention and wouldn't let me use my phone. She's still not adjusted to me working full time!

FOREVER 🤍
Someone just posted a tattoo of their cat in r/cats which reminded me I wanted to show u my two beans Coffee&Creamz :) For 10+ years I couldn’t decide what to get tattooed on my hands but when they moved into their forever home 3 yrs ago it suddenly became clear as day. I cannot imagine a life without them anymore! Do you have tattoos of your birmans?

Haru and Ren
Meet Haru and Ren, two Birman brothers who have been inseparable since birth. They are three and a half years old.
They were born in Konstanz, Germany, and came to us from a lovely family. After living in Munich for a few years, they moved back with us to our hometown of Zagreb, Croatia.
They are a bit spoiled, but that’s only natural when they’re so cute.
Haru, the chocolate point brother, likes to bite things, including me. He looks you directly in the eyes, just like a dog would. He is bigger and stronger than Ren, but also clumsier. He is also a big cuddler.
Ren, the lilac point brother, is pure cuteness. He is the pair’s PR representative, always making himself heard when they’re hungry or need something. He is more energetic, agile, and precise in his movements.

Henri
Meet Henri, he’s 5 years old and he’s our baby boy, who came to us after a family member (my Nan) sadly passed away.
He just had major surgery to remove a piece of cotton thread from his tummy and intestines. Bye bye savings account ($9600 all up for the surgery) but Henri is still with us, which is worth more than all the surgeries in the world to us.
Here he is looking psychedelic, photo is all in camera with no editing - he likes the pretty lights and how they make him look.

Not so fluffy Birman?
Here is our 6mo Birman boy. Is it normal that he is not fluffy compared to other (younger) birman kittens i saw posted on social media? Maybe it is something that we feed him? What would you recommend to make him fluffier even for a bit?
