The Synth team tested TimesFM-3, a recently released SOTA time series foundation model, by seeing how it stacked up against their forecasting competitions. The result: it's good but it's not enough to thrive - a testament to how skilled SN50's miners are.

For context, time series foundation models (TSFMs) are typically quite small, and the latest SOTA is 209M (Timestral).

Their 4M model is already beating SalesForce's 91M model.

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with the Hatom TAO Bridge and would appreciate any advice from people who have experienced something similar.

The WTAO left my wallet, but the corresponding TAO has not arrived in my Finney wallet. The transaction is still showing as Pending, and I cannot initiate another bridge transaction because the funds are no longer available in my wallet.

I've tried to find proper support, but I haven't been able to reach anyone who can actually investigate the transaction.

My questions:

1. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with the Hatom TAO Bridge?
2. If your transaction was stuck on Pending or failed, did you eventually receive your TAO?
3. Did Hatom manually process the transaction or recover your funds?
4. Is there a reliable way to check whether the WTAO burn was confirmed and whether the TAO payout to Finney was initiated?

I bought 12 TAO back in June, it's currently up about 50% plus I'm up about 3TAO to 15. Which I'm really pleased about.

I invested in a mix of SNs incl GM, Chutes, Bitcast.

Recently I've moved 10TAO to Root with the other 5 still invested in my old split.

Would you suggest reinvesting the 10 away from root?

I feel like I've been just losing money lately, have not made one good call in over a month, then I see cases like SN92 where if I chose that less than a week ago I'd be up over 1000%. Really irks me too because I was considering investing in it too just randomly but decided against, been banging my head against a wall. What signs should I be looking out for? I'm tired of losing money

Growing AI demand is a reason to be interested in TAO, but it doesn’t tell me when to open a perp position. For a trade lasting a few days, I’d want to see buyers keep showing up after the initial move.

What I’d watch is how TAO behaves when the wider market pulls back. If it starts holding higher lows and recovering while BTC is still struggling, I’d be more willing to consider a long. That wouldn’t prove demand will last, but it would give me more to work with than a bounce that disappears as soon as BTC turns down.

For my TAO perp trade, I’d wait for a breakout and a pullback that holds before opening the long, with a stop below the low formed on that retest. Position size would depend on the distance to the stop. That could mean missing a move that never pulls back, which I’m fine with. If the structure breaks after entry, I’d close it; the longer-term AI thesis wouldn’t change that decision.

Would relative strength against BTC and a successful retest be enough for you to take that TAO long, or would you also need stronger spot buying?

I have a few ecommerce shops and they're all running on AI now. I just talk to Claude and it handles close to everything. I also played around with creating a Muse and GPT plugin and totally see how agentic ecommerce is going to take off. I really love the idea of decentralization and hate that we're going to have a handful of major companies running the show. But, as a business owner, seeing how easy it is to tell Claude or another AI to create me some ads for Meta, connect to its MCP, track the highest performing ads and create new ones based on the performance, it's hard to see how decentralized platforms could have an advantage. Love the idea and would really like to understand how something like bittensor could help small ecommerce owners like myself. And, is there anything I can test out if I run a store on Shopify?

Curious on your opinions on how bittensor might fair if the AI bubble bursts? I don't see AI disappearing but maybe a massive correction, maybe due to less reliance on frontier models with more open Chinese models on the market. Maybe a recession. Either way if it bursts/corrects/neither do you think we are contingent on the AI narrative? Are we more of a decentralized capitalist marketplace? What do you think the future looks like?
