Discussion always love seeing black canary evolution on comics, do you think She improved significantly her skills or the writters are starting to respect her chatacter?
1: IDK where is the page from, but we see dinah being humiliated by deathstroke
2: Identity crisis. Again, deathstroke "figths" black canary and she doesn't even defend herself (i know it's a glazzing panel for deathstroke beating the hell out of the hole justice league)
3 & 4: deathstroke inc 4. The last figth between Slade and Dinah, she did not beat deathstroke but she gave him a really good figth and then they stop figthing and start talking to team up after that
5: Black Canary best of the best 3 (i think). Black canary spares with Batman and take him down
Detective comics 1113 or 1114 (i think). Black Canary spares with Batman again, It's a technical fight, with no punches, but with cass cain (using her reading "power" to see who's winning, she decided that dinah would knock out bruce first.
Black Canary best if the best 5. Black Canary figths Lady Shiva, she starts loosing and being outmatched against Shiva, but at the end Dinah adapts to Shiva and win the figth (She surrendered due to plot, but shiva is shown as almost fainted)
I think people often forget dinah should be as skilled as Batman as least

Discussion Title: Could Black Canary survive a city-level explosion by using her Canary Cry as a shield?
(AI genereted image)
We've already seen in the New 52 that Dinah's Canary Cry can somehow contain or counteract explosions, even when she doesn't fully understand or control her powers yet.
My first thought is that she probably wouldn't survive, regardless of what she does. But then I started thinking about how her Canary Cry might interact with the incoming shockwave.
What if she unleashed her strongest Canary Cry directly against the blast, even if her scream wasn't powerful enough to stop it completely?
I'm imagining the shockwave gradually overwhelming her sonic waves, forcing them backward and deforming them into something like a dome around her. As the outer waves give way, Dinah keeps screaming, generating new waves that temporarily reinforce the ones collapsing around her.
Basically, her Canary Cry wouldn't stop the explosion, but it might act as a temporary, constantly replenished shield that buys her enough time to survive the initial blast.
Do you think that's a plausible application of her powers based on what we've seen in the comics? Could the sonic waves realistically interact with the shockwave this way in the DC universe, or would the explosion overwhelm her almost instantly?
